how come? While Aizawa's moveset is too basic for my liking, the fight itself is great
Is it even worth playing these games now that the creator left Sega?
it's uncertain how hands-on Nagoshi was with the more recent projects, but if we're to use Gaiden as a gauge to determine whether or not this series can move forward without him, then the answer is undoubtedly YES
shishido is a daidoji agent now
so is Nishitani. On that note, I'm still pissed at the fact that it was never clarified why the fuck he uses this name as some sort of title, and whatever happened to Nishitani II. Also, why even associate him with the Jingweon? It almost feels like they're setting him up to play a role with the Geomijul in the future
As he's a likeness character his chances of showing up again are quite low, although not impossible now given a few are returning 8. His links to the Jingweon may possibly be relevant to the Daidoji going forward.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kiryu ends up either turning on the Daidoji in 8 or there will be some sort of internal conflict leading the Leather Jacket agent to sic Shishida on Kiryu. There is also the question of Hanawa's true identity.
Aizawa is a boring character who doesn't have any charisma to him. His boss fight is just not as compelling as the other boss fights in the series. Goda, Mine, Nishiki, even the Y4 Fights are significantly better in tone and content than Aizawa's. The fight would be way better if it played Haruka's concert performance over it.
I'm up to the Four Kings arena fights and I just discovered that attack in your gif a few minutes ago. It's too bad all the gadgets don't have an ExHeat move. Summoning the drone army or casually lobbing a high powered explosive smoke over your shoulder never gets old to me and I'd have liked for Spider and Serpent to get the same treatment.
>and whatever happened to Nishitani II
we never had complete histories of some of the recurring families in the Tojo either I think, it's just a thing that happens
I ran 2/2/6 for the entire time. Worked pretty well except Kaito sometimes just dies randomly.
I realized Kaito has stupid low stats to compensate for his heat action so I put him in the back
>Nishitani
They established gaps to fill in this game. For potential spin offs and sequels. Daidoji's are intentionally ambiguous and there are three years between Gaiden and 8.
I don't like this Marvel storytelling of "setting things up" and "giving hints" for sequels. But eh this was not a normal entry to the saga so that's ok.

He had basically nothing to do with the actual development and was just pissing away the money hanging out with prostitutes

no, the game sucks. nice to play as kiryu again but thats it. new moveset sucks, no heat actions (prease onry 50 dorra game 3 heat actions only), DE combat goes backwards, game has you doing stupid ass fetch quest bullshit just like ishin kiwami to proceed the game, stupid ass grind shit just like ishin to upgrade. garbage.
I don't see him complying at all.
That also makes me wonder how many past Yakuza hotshots, some of which might have met their end by Kiryu, got flipped into Daidoji agents.
>playing the original yakuza >decide to level up haruka's trust before moving on with chapter 7 >mfw she wants me to get 20 home runs in a row after getting 3000 slots tokens (the machine gives out 15 on a jackpot)
also, whoever thought time gated substories were a good idea can suck a fart out of my ass
the game is egging me into going to shinji's rescue yet instead I'm fighting my 7th set of gangbusters
Both are requirements for 1 HD's platinum.
20 home runs is the hardest of the lot. The tricks for the later games only kind of work (Paying attention to the stance/bat, not the ball) because the timing is significantly tighter than later games where they made it easier.
3000 tokens is easy. Get Haruka's rank up high and ignore slots outside of that one where they tell you to do like 200 tokens or however many it was. Once you get her to I want to say A or maybe B she gives you a 777 thing that guarantees you jackpots as long as you don't stand up after you use it. Then it's just you sitting there pulling for like three hours and no I am not kidding. You also need to know how much you entered the machine with because it needs to be 3000 tokens of profit, so if you entered with 420 tokens you need above 3420 when you exit for Haruka to count it.
Also, make sure you do NOT enter Beam, Love in Heart, or Shine/israeliteel with Haruka following you more than like tow times otherwise you can't max her out. You also can't run too far away from her when on the streets because that also can lower your affection with her.
Make sure you do hostesses ASAP because if you have a follower their substories don't work at all and you can't complete them, and both Date and Haruka follow you tons in the later chapters with Haruka being impossible to get rid of in the final chapter.
20 home runs in a row took me eight hours straight of attempts in 1 HD when I went after it, 3000 in profit was like 5 hours because I spent about an hour and a half on spins and forgot how much I entered with which was nice.
How the fuck does Kiryu fight like that at 51 years old when he's been smoking for 30 years and has been shot multiple times? Are you telling me he's some kind of dragon?
how many healers and blue tanks are you guys running? I have three healers and I got fucking destroyed in the first 10 man plat battle despite gold being cake. I'm grinding gold to get levels for my team right now
I was struggling a lot until I completely dropped all tanks except for Kaito and went full offense with one healer and one tank and 8 gold attackers and it actually made it so much easier.
How do I git gud with Agent Style? Besides spider grapple and Firefly it feels pretty crummy and whenever I try to go for combo's I just get interrupted. Been using DoD (Not calling it Yakuza) Style pretty much exclusively
>grapple to knock everyone over >boost to other end of room to hit anyone Spider didn't >throw bomb if you have time >repeat until no trash mobs
only summon drones if you're in heat mode, don't bother trying to 1v1 with it, it's exclusively for crowd control
Outside of extreme heat I found the only things worth using were the spider grapples and the rocket boots. In extreme heat the light attack combo is good although not quite the ex boosted crane heavy combo and the dodge counters are pretty cool.
>kuwana actually said "you said the same thing over and over" when yagami goes muh sawa sensei
I got why people said LJ stinks. Surely there's a lot to be said other than one woman's death.
While there's other stuff Yagami could have brought up, Kuwana doesn't actually have a counterargument. He just deflects every time because he doesn't want to face up to it.
he wasn't written to be 100% correct. This is why other characters like Kaito outright say "Hey are you sure you're on the right side this time?". This is why he is heated in the argument at the end and doesn't call Kuwana on his blatant hypocrisy.
The writers assumed the players wouldn't be fucking idiots who forgot what happened in the first game and why Yagami might be fixated on a woman who got killed because he involved her in his case. Sounds familiar, wowee! Unfortunately, the writers were wrong and Ganker is full of absolute fucking idiots.
It's supposed to be two flawed ways of life, two arguments correct in their own way, and although the player controls Yagami the player is not presented with a clear villain in Kuwana and has to make his own mind up about who was right.
Yagami is clearly the correct one. One of them is for killing people and the other one is against killing people. There is no other way of looking at it.
you live in a gated community and your opinion on everything except for curtain patterns should be ignored. Hell, your parents probably bought those anyways
Sure pal. Kuwana was definitely correct when he blackmailed people into killing other people as punishment for a crime they committed a decade ago when they were kids. That checks out.
They didn't kill people. They bullied people. There is a difference. Should they feel regret? Absolutely. Is it entirely their fault? No. People in charge (Like Kuwana when he was a teacher) should have seen the signs and acted. I'm not going to sentence a teenager to death for being a dickhead. If you don't see why that is wrong then you are cucked mentally.

Bullying someone to suicide is the same as killing them. So is turning a blind eye. They all deserve to be put down.

I knew you were the type of person to think The Punisher is correct.
>Is it entirely their fault? No.
Man I side with Yagami in that argument and I even I think you're cucked beyond belief. The first time you face an aggressive person you're going to bend over and spread your cheeks for them, Jesus Christ.
How does a person turn out like you?
You never did anything stupid as a kid?Something avoidable that maybe if someone had said something to you or you surrounded yourself with better people you wouldn't have done it? Is the idea that kids are retarded and don't deserve to have the rest of their lives ruined for a mistake really that cucked?
>Cuck in Chief tries preemptively calling people who actually believe in not letting people murder you and others 'cucks'
doesn't work like that, little cuckboy
The character you are defending blackmailed these supposed "murderers" into killing other people. Real paragon of virtue you are defending.
All of you guys are missing the point of the bullies in Lost Judgment. The ones Yagami interacts with. What these people need isn't retroactive punishment. What they needed is someone to correct them. The inaction of the adults in the situation is significantly worse than the bullying of teenagers. If you disagree then you haven't aged out of high school.

This is what rehabilitative justice people really believe. Bet you would also think that some 16-year old “urban youth” (gangbanger with a couple felonies) deserves mental health services and some nebulous community guidance rather than a couple decades in a cage and/or 9mm injection through the skull. After all, his community and society at large failed him, and he wouldn’t have turned out like that if he got more support. (No, most antisocial actors are antisocial because of low IQ and generics, and you can’t really fix that, the best you can do is lock them up or put them out of their misery for the good of society)

The kind of bullying judgment is referring to are the ones that goes into physical abuse and sexual harrasment territory. If you're capable of doing this you're not just a "dickhead teenager" anymore.

There are several kids in the video that Kuwana blackmailed into committing murder that have no evidence of actually committing physical abuse or sexual harassment. Even if they did, the inaction of the adults in charge allowing such behavior to continue is more contemptible than the behavior of retarded kids. Do they deserve punishment? Yeah. But do they deserve a death sentence? No. Kuwana's vigilante justice isn't the answer to what happened. My point is that 100% of the blame does not lie squarely on the shoulders of the teenagers. Saying that it is entirely the fault of the teenagers is blatantly wrong and misses the nuance of the conversation. No amount of rationalizing the execution of people for crimes that aren't even punishable by the death penalty will make it right.
>It's supposed to be two flawed ways of life, two arguments correct in their own way, and although the player controls Yagami the player is not presented with a clear villain in Kuwana and has to make his own mind up about who was right.
The problem is that they WANTED to make it two people who were both correct, but it's actually the same problem as the first Judgment - the villains think that their killings are justified because they're for the greater good and a noble purpose, but their solution isn't actually going to affect anything. In the first game's case, because the drug doesn't actually work, and in the second because Kuwana's methods don't actually work.
It shocks me that nobody points out that secretly abducting and killing bullies decades later is not actually going to stop the bullying problem, nobody knows what happened to them or why. It's literally just so the family can get revenge and feel better. Kuwana's methods aren't going to do shit to stop bullying, and really aren't going to accomplish anything at all. It's just a writing fuckup, he's clearly meant to have a point but they didn't think through the methods he uses to achieve it. He'd have more success stopping suicides from bullying by starting a suicide phone line bullied kids could call.
He'd honestly be more effective and would make a better point if his M.O. involved openly declaring "I AM KILLING BULLIES AND I WILL KILL YOU TOO". He wouldn't even have to reveal himself, just why the person behind the killings is killing.
Only Kaito brings up that he might not entirely be wrong, and it's idiotic because, no, Kuwana is absolutely wrong, the game just pretends like his thoughts have merit.
First, his entire goal is to kill bullies so that bullying stops because people are scared of bullying someone for fear they might be killed. Right from the start this plan falls flat on its ass because no one knows why he's killing people when bodies are found. He does it years and years later after they've bullied someone so it just looks like a random murder.
Second, his plan requires someone to have already killed themselves from being bullied meaning he's not saving anyone at all, he's only getting revenge for someone who already died rather than helping them.
Third, even if he's only killing bullies no one knows this. The only way they would know this is if he himself states it which is what happens in the epilogue, but surprise, no one cared. The bodies being released aren't even mentioned in The Kaito Files which is immediately after LJ.
Fourth, he says he's fighting for justice and then immediately is okay with ignoring that his actions led to Sawa getting killed because she was getting close to finding out Kusumoto might be tied to Kuwana. He says "Her death will hang over me for the rest of my life" or whatever which is absolute nonsense and doesn't address the issue that he's willing to ignore innocent deaths to get revenge for innocents. He's a hypocrite.
Fifth, he's willing to let Yagami die three separate times (Sawa's apartment when he gets nabbed, ship explosion, and end of the game) even though all Yagami has done is try to expose the murders Kuwana has done. Another innocent he's fine with killing.
Sixth, he does nothing to reform the law or try to make advocacy groups. For all his talk about trying to help kids being bullied he does everything in his power to ignore actually helping them and kills people years later instead.
Because Yagami is right and his exucses are all sophistry. He wants revenge, not justice. I think you're overselling Kuwana saying he wants to 'stop bullying'. I don't recall him ever saying that. He says he wants justice for them.
>He wants revenge, not justice. He wants both. He's using the killings as a roundabout way to stop bullying, he himself says this when you meet him the second time in Restaurant Row. He also wants to change the law itself through his actions which is why he also went through with the whole Ehara plot to discredit it.
I get what they were doing with him, but the way it's executed just makes it feel like Kuwana's just using it as an excuse. Even if doesn't set out to portray him that way, it's what it comes out looking as.
I had fun with Lost Judgment, but the whole thing surrounding him is probably while I'll always like the first one more. The case its built around is just less stupid. Lost Judgment came close to late era RGG games stupidity with how they do twists and shit.
He my favorite RGG antagonist, bar none. Fantastic fight, one of the best fight themes, you could at least sympathize with why he was doing things and understand what his mindset was, it was fun to see how he justified his actions, his backstory was interesting, etc. It's such a low stakes thing but such an interesting one at the same time. Second best is Mine.
I can understand preferring the first game's story because it flowed better outside of Hamura just coming out of nowhere to hand Yagami the exact thing he needs to throw everyone in jail, but I think LJ was still enjoyable to sit through.
Just want to point out that the devs literally said this in interviews too. The staff themselves don't agree on a side.
https://www.frontlinejp.net/2021/05/13/lost-judgment-developer-interview-with-nagoshi-and-hosokawa/
There literally isn't. Kuwana can rationalize all his little escapades, but Sawa died and its because of him. "What about Sawa-Sensei" is a complete shutdown of his mentality. He is playing with people's lives.
I'm gonna remain blissfully ignorant on that one. I might just fucking have an aneurysm from cringe trying to listen to him match Kuroda's performance there.
No one.
Even Hayter with his snake obsession isn't as bad as YONG OUT.
This korean might unironically put it on his own gravestone even if SEGA sack him after their current contract runs out.
>yongyea doing his shitty tough guy voice while also doing a shitty fake cry
I literally don't think I can even bring myself to watch it when it comes out
he is going to ruin one of the most emotional moments in the series
>trailer releases >kiryu shown ugly crying, tears and snot all over his face. >what the fuck did he see >finish game
yeah I 100% get it. he earned that bawling after all the shit he has gone through and yes i cried too.

niggas really tried to say that "they turned kiryu into a pussy" seeing him cry in the trailer
but seeing what that ipad had to offer also made me cry the most i had in years
DE tiger drop is kinda hard to pull off, and you're better off doing other techs anyway
It's tight as fuck if they do quick little attacks so you have to gamble and predict when they're going to attack to pull it off which is how it should be. You also need to be close enough, no tiger dropping bullets like before.
A lot of enemies I've noticed in DE will run up to you and then do an almost instant attack, which is where I got better at Tiger Drop timing. The timing is generally pretty strict though, and a good chunk of moves are unsafe because of how delayed they are.
It doesn't feel that hard to do tbh, i can do it every single time on telegraphed attacks like Shishido's charge punch.
It's definitely tighter than 5's Tiger Drop that'd just come if you mashed triangle.
I just hope Infinite Wealth lets Kiryu go back. Kiryu's kids will all be in various spots in their twenties with Haruka being 27 and Haruto will already be 7.
It's been around 13 years or so since the events of Yakuza 3 so it's not the most unreasonable thing. Mame is probably going to die in the next 1-2 years though.
Not allowing cameras inside the castle gives me the biggest case of blueballs. i want to take a picture with my squad is that really so unfair?????
I really like what they did with the colosseum in this game, even if the non kiryu characters are all gimped (including the dlc fighters though at least they are strong enough to compensate) just the fact that they give you the option of playing as every single recruit feels amazing.
As for the castle, it's basically an upgraded and more evil/degenerate version of purgatory, with literal abused debt slaves straight out of kaiji. good concept though it's a bit weird how chill akame is about the place even if there's pragmatic reasons behind it.
>that feel when you're hungry but you just killed some guy throwing him through the store window at Wild Jackson and now the guy at the cashier is scared of you
Pretty sure he is a depraved homosexual. Shishidou eyes going wide when the Daidoji agent said they were going to throw him in with Nishitani implies that he isn't in for a good time.
I mean he's the patriarch of the family who runs the castle as well as the family with the reputation of being the fucked up violent ones in an organization filled with violent fucked up criminals, you pretty much have to be a huge degenerate to manage something like that.
Rush style on Kiryu seems like it's going to be the strongest style early game in Infinite Wealth because the double basic attack and the larger walking radius makes for setting up easy combo and back attacks. Beast seems good later for when enemies really start to block and you don't want to use MP for an Essence, but I can't really think of a reason to use Brawler.
Probably later on, I don't see it so far in the demo unless I'm doing something wrong. The tutorial blurb for it stated that Brawler let you use Heat Actions under specific circumstances, which I assume is if you're near a wall, item, or likewise.
For all the retarded moments that these games have (rubber bullets, TWO coin babies, A lot of other stuff) That ending felt redeeming as a yakuza fan. after seeing the ending for gaiden it made me look past all of these small annoyances i have for these games. It made me appreciate kiryu and his journey throughout this whole series. gaiden is not my favorite yakuza and it is nowhere NEAR that top spot, But man... That ending was everything.
I love how we finally get American money, After years of playing with yen and its wacky numbers, japan gets to see that a burger costs 9$ American dollars (and thats a bad thing)
probably will, good to wait and just grind the ranks once the actual game comes out instead of wasting getting all the points for rewards you can't carry over
I can't believe this fat fuck actually made me tear up in the ending. Also, who the hell is Hanawa? Is he Baba? He's the only character I can think of from 5 that met Kiryu and didn't die but Baba is like 40 years too young and was also a punk bitch.
A lot of characters are the same height, the game recycles animations and skeletons for the models. Like how Miss Tatsu in 0 is the size of Kiryu because she has to do Kiryu's beast moves or how Yuta and Han in this screenshot. If you ever look at the models, a lot are the same height across the franchise for that reason. Its not some LAD specific thing.
There was a whole substory about a dude having to erase himself and get a new face back in Y0, so some sort of face rearrangement isn't entirely out of the question.
He doesn't look like anyone else we've seen who would have interacted with Taichi Sazuki either.
All that paired with the shared VA and the fact that he died off screen makes him the best candidate.
The best candidate as far as I'm concerned is just some random no one. It's not like he's out of the question but it's also just as likely they drop it altogether.

I wonder if we'll see Taichi again since he's an adult and has a Dragon Engine model now. I think it'd be neat if he was a party member in a future game or something.
One of my favorite moments in the series is when Taichi gets a heart attack or some shit and faints on the beach. If you start fishing you just see that fat fuck unconscious in the background while Kiryu has the time of his life it's hilarious xD
So why is the Daidoji essentially just amassing an army of ex-Yakuza as agents for no reason like some sort of squid games shit?
With Kiryu it made sense because he uncovered information detrimental to a political figure's societal standing, but everyone else seems to have been scooped up because they flew too close to the sun and came crashing down in the Yakuza world.
Because the writers didn't think these guys through. The original version in 6 was just a political group that had a lot to lose if Kiryu revealed anything, but to justify Kiryu coming back, they had to come up with more reason for them to be involved with future plots so they got more and more ridiculous
>Kashiwagi, Lau and Richardson were all saved by the Daidoji and are deep cover glowies waiting for someone to walk up to the bar and give them the codeword >Kashiwagi taking the day off work when Kiryu visited Survive wasn't some dumb coincidence so the writers could tease us with a meeting, he dodged Kiryu on purpose to avoid being exposed
Turning the Daidoji into a weird high tech black ops suicide squad makes Kiryu threats to them weird in hindsight. The group could have easily killed Kiryu and covered it up.
When they presented daidoji as a fixer, I didn’t expect that.
One thing I am really hating with these series is how often you need to go back to someone, tell them a thing, get a new thing to do, and run back out. All of which can be done over the phone instead of needing the player to run halfway across the map and back and then again
It just means that Kimura is a free agent. Kimura isn't personally tied to the whole Johnny shitshow, aside from the fact that he was probably taken advantage of, so I don't get why people are acting like we aren't eventually going to get a Third Yagami game.
>the guy who ran Johnny's and had all the weird policies died and his daughter took over
That happened in 2019 and she kept all the policies going, why the fuck do you think we had the controversy after the second game?
And the company is dead now because of all the shit coming out about the gay pedophile rape.
Kaito Files was the perfect ending. The hot lawyer woman got with the nerd, Kaito got his woman back, and Yagami is probably gonna bang that one lady unless she fell in love with Kiryu here

Never. Johnny's blew up hard and it's been exposed that Johnny was sticking his old man penis in all the little boys and now using their talents is a no-no.
How the hell do you play Shogi? Im getting destroyed by the lvl 0 AI....
I have no clue whats going on, and why do I keep getting "DEFEAT" if I push my piece to the other end of the board, why?
I'm a noob too but I played that one a little bit, the bare minimum to get 100% in Ishin. Like chess, make sure your pieces are always covered by another piece. When you take enemy pieces you can kinda "respawn" them on your side and you choose where they drop, drop them where they can cause the most damage. Some units get upgraded and become super versions that have more mobility when you reach the other side of the board, not sure why you die when you push a piece there, maybe its your "king" piece?
I have no clue what i did to lose the game, but ' i pushed the Rook to the end of the board to take a knight and lost, it happend twice once with a pawn and now a rook
picrel
>playing the demo for 8 >kiryu stopping the car to throw up >choosing to run instead of fight
I'm not ready for this shit, especially after Gaiden's ending and the trailer.
I feel kind of conflicted, because I really don't want Kiryu to die because god damn it he deserves to be happy for once but at this point if they don't kill him it'd feel like they'd be cheaping out.
I feel like Gaiden was the most that we've ever seen Kiryu smoke on screen, almost like they were hinting at the cancer stuff.
They have brand endorsements with cigarette companies, there's not a snowball's chance in hell they'd imply that the smoking is killing him.
Probably doesn't have to be killed killed if they give him a happier ending, like he pushes too hard or whatever at the cost of whatever his body has left in it but the ending is him going back to Okinawa where he dies like a week or so later. Feels like if he goes out with a bang, no one would believe he's dead.
I actually feel like they're more open to keep using Kiryu in some form after Gaiden's ending not sure where they're going with the cancer thing aside from nerfing him to not take Kasuga's spotlight though
Well Kiryu travels the world for a few years after Gaiden, or so the ending implies, and one of the trailers for Infinite Wealth had a shot of what seemed to be toxic barrels. Kiryu probably got exposed to some kind of radioactive/nuclear waste which led to him getting cancer.
So wait, people pointed out the bartender in Revolve is just you know who but Kiryu already knows him, are we ever going to get more on how Kiryu settled on Hawaii?
I will nuke Sega myself if it's a non-CIA twin brother
Yeah. Some people seem to think Gaiden is a kind of new start for Kiryu, but I think the ending of Gaiden just hammers in that Kiryu is lonely and miserable and what he truly wants is just to return to the Orphanage and the family he had to leave behind. I think Infinite Wealth will end with Kiryu essentially retiring and finally going back home. The bittersweet part will probably come from it being unknown how much time Kiryu really has left or something.
I am annoyed with the bosses in this, tons of super armor and dodge chains. It really feels like "do some damage, then wait for them to do some stupid shit to leave them open" and repeat.
Really? I found them pretty easy, almost no bosses have the "do a heat move once then it does reduced damage for the rest of the fight" quirk and Kiryu has multiple extremely easily spammable heat moves and equipment to reduce heat cost.
Maybe Kiryu’s cancer is just part of Daidoji’s psyops to make his death more legitimate since the VTuber, Ichiban crews and Tojo people know he’s alive. That’s why he needs to fake his death again. Kiryu never actually has cancer.
is Majimeme the best guy to manually control in the arena due to his heat move? I'm getting down to the last 4 plat battles but they are getting tough.
Also, if I give gifts of equipment do they wear them?
Still this game doesnt explain why kiryu was in fukushima getting rubber cancer and that crappy haircut also not even the kids believe kiryu is dead and fuck up surveilance of a fake tomb KEK
Yakuza sucks at pretending to be dead.
That asiatic Nishitani pretended to be dead, but was spotted on the street thus ruined their plan to stop the Omi dissolution.
It feels clunky, especially the Yakuza/Dragon style. Its funny one of the easiest ways to play is just kite around with infinite drones and serpent sliding
https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/yakuza-creator-nagoshi-says-his-next-game-will-be-violent-and-silly-like-a-tarantino-movie/ >Speaking to German publication 4Players, the former Sega veteran suggested that he didn’t want to stray too far from the formula that made the Yakuza games such a success: drama, violence and humour. >"Of course, I can’t reveal too much about our game yet, but I can give a rough idea: It will definitely contain violence as a game element, but I don’t want to go too much in the direction of thriller or even horror,” he said. >“I want my game to be more like a Quentin Tarantino film – so there can be humour. Something that’s just intimidating or just bloody and brutal doesn’t suit my taste – I want a human touch, a bit of silliness and a bit of seriousness, that’s what I’m in the mood for at the moment.”
The article's from last year so I'd assume some time in 2024. It sounds like this is basically just gonna be another Yakuza but with Samuel L. Jackson in every game since he wants it to be like Tarantino.
might still be cool. I'm happy with a world in which his game is good and Yakuza is still good.
Speaking of, I fucking love this game bros. Despite agent and it's 1960's James Bond cartoon tier gadgets being stupid as FUCK
was this guy overrated? i feel like the games have gotten better after he left? Kiryu finally showing some emotion and characters like Yumi are actually mentioned instead of just being completely forgotten
the sicko snap minigame in the hawaii demo bugs out for me, just stays in one spot in front of a tree and i can't move the camera or zoom at all
i couldn't even quit the minigame so i just had to use up the roll of film on that same shot of the tree
my only complaints are that the story's too short and we didn't get to play kiryu's side of his adventures in ijincho after the dissolution, fight kasuga and his party, or find out why he was working with seong-hui
You know why they're good? Because they don't have guard bounce. Who the hell thought that was a good idea, there was no way you could work around it other than resorting to short combos
For all the fucking discourse around "oh Kiryu never cries like this or whatever the fuck", I thought whatever impact that scene would've had would be diminished due to just how much joking and shittalk happened around that screenshot in the trailer.
Glad it didn't, That shit almost got me welling up myself too.
Because they deserve it. They do not deserve perfect lives or good lives, even. Any ounce of good they've done does not outweigh what the yakuza have done to society.
Yeah I toggled the option to not show the costume in cutscenes but it only works in the big cinematic ones, in most sequences it still shows, had to restrain myself.
Good: >Fights with dozens of enemies at the same time and using Agent style to evaporate them quickly. >Cigar bombs. >Chapter 4: Going out and partying with a clan, FINALLY feeling like a Yakuza, gang fights! Colosseum! >Decent story. >Chapter 5, Y7 with Kiryu's perspective and the Y7 song creeping in the background and le epic (proper) conclusion to Tojo/Omi saga. The Real Y6 ending. >Shishido: Somehow they introduced a NEW final antagonist for the Omi clan, and managed to make him a very compelling character. The Last Yakuza.
Bad: >I can't tiger drop lol >Too easy. >Drones are useless, too expensive to upgrade lol >Fucking fetch quests >Rubber knifes, not as ridiculous as rubber bullets but still. >DLSS someone makes the game look extremely sharp any time there's movement, had to use FSR2. >Padding: The plot wasn't as convoluted as other games, but still had some padding. What was the point of all the Daidoji thing. The Omi/Daidoji agreement could have happened way sooner.
This game could have been a clusterfuck of retcons and asspulls but they managed to make a pretty good game. Game got my heart pumping a lot, it was very exciting overall.
It's even better if you play or have played the Judgment games, comparing the OG Yakuza clans vs the post clans soulless (in a good way) gang mess.
Holy shit, Kiryu with round glasses and a tan suit looks so kino. He's basically Giichi from Blade of the Immortal with hair. They need to patch customization into every previous Yakuza game.
I just finished the game. WHY THE FUCK CANT KIRYU JUST GO SEE THE KIDS? why must he still remain a dead man? what the fuck is the reason for him going to hawaii again? just vacation? for real?
had lot of fun with the game, the story was engrossing for most part...but the overall plot is just stoopid.
oh so we just accept that thats how it is then? okay I guess. I'm glad the series at least never forgets its a video game first and foremost so I'll look past these plot contrivances. and honestly shit like this never bothers me, I just honestly am puzzled as to why Kiryu cant reveal himself to dem kidz.
I have seen theRadBrad play the game and honestly Yongyea did a great job!
He tried his best and was blessed by Toshihiro Nagoshi to portray Kiryu! He's also up there with Asmongold and Pewdiepie by working hard to be where he is now!
I assumed it was probably about the kids, although personally I thought it would be something like Nisthani targeting them and injuring one pretty bad, but it's still justified. Seeing the drawing hit me hard. I still think that twitterfag trying to imply that him crying was somehow related to Yongyea voicing him was a retard.
>I assumed it was probably about the kids, although personally I thought it would be something like Nisthani targeting them and injuring one pretty bad, but it's still justified
If anything, I don't think he would've just lost it the way he did if the kids weren't safe.
That's not completely unbelievable, they would probably see each other as family, I just hate all of them as characters, they feel like they exist only as a justification for Kiryu to do whatever he does
Meh, I thought it would be Haruka or Haruto speaking to Kiryu at the grave, but instead he cried over a picture, so the scene was still underwhelming.
The whole ipad hidden camera shit was so forced, all the had to do was put some miniscule undetectable camera so he can see Haruka and the kids clearly and see a live feed of what they are saying instead of overcomplicated "uhh they actually saw the hidden camera and instantly thought it's Kiryu being alive so they will leave an elaborate message to them and even leave a present!".
No. How many times does he need to realize what is most important to him and then instead to go deal with yakuza bussiness, possibly end up in jail resulting in possibly throwing his life under train yet again?
>try the Y8 demo >QTE cutscene during a boss fight >only Ichi is fighting the boss with the rest of the party nowhere to be seen >cutscene after the boss is defeated >Kiryu and Tomizawa are now fighting together with Ichi but Chitose is nowhere to be seen
I hate these inconsistencies so goddamn much. Same shit happened in Y7, you'll have characters vanishing during cutscenes, then reappearing only for other characters to disappear in the next scene.
I think that cutscene was ripped from the story, at that point in the game it’s still only Ichi, Kiryu and Tomizawa together, Chitose hasn’t actually joined yet
I hope so, I also hope at least during some QTE scenes other party members will join in. I know it's a minor nitpick for most, but it triggered me to no end in Y7.
>game heavily encourages you to pick the hero job and locks you into that job for a while >cutscene Ichiban is always fighting with his fists as a freelancer >freelancer is the worst job in the game
The RPG games have the biggest disconnect between gameplay and narrative in any of the games
>stuck on 3rd King for like 2 hours because of the time limit >Finally beat it >Oh man, 4th King is probably gonna be even harder >He is fucking weak as shit, probably one of the easiest boss fights in the game
???????????
Is the 4 Kings fight from the solo battles? I've only done the Team ones but they ended after all the Plat fights were over and I don't know if they're story locked.
It alternates. 1st King is team, 2nd is 1on1, 3rd is team and 4th is 1on1. The Amon fight also follows this, you have to do a team fight and then a 1on1.
I liked it. You probably do, but you do know you only have to get a single block in their spawn to win right, NOT color more squares than the other team like they try to say.
Get past the first one or two missions and buy AI. The first one or two missions are just garbage because you have no AI. The AI changes everything and makes them attack or grab stuff, so if you have two attackers you are now free to run around grabbing stuff. Also, don't fill in spaces like it's Splatoon, just Tetris over to their base and you win.
Grapple with Spider, release the grab button, and press the Heavy Attack button to slam the enemy into the ground and bounce. There's also a few Agent finishers that bounce, and you can swap styles quickly to lead into Yakuza combos.
Man, Saejima is a monster at level 20. I miss being able to control him. I liked the fight where you can pick him or Kiryu and beat the shit out of the other back in 4 or 5, 4 probably.
So far Table Tennis is a scam.
No indication why your ball goes out of bounds, almost 70% of regular shots go out of bounds.
Basically only heat shots work.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/239456-yakuza-4-remastered/faqs/78045/table-tennis
If you try and play fair and square with skill only the balls will go out of bounds.
Just won first time on easy. It is scammy but not as hard as the first 2-3 hours of your trial and error. >hit ball when it flashes >always hold shots >look at boobs >get ready for a fast one when she says 'SeeEEE' >score at least 8 >get motivated by the extra surprise boobs >go for 11
>Black Monday was a Daidoji operation (Daidoji work with CIA as Gaiden proves) >Nobody saw the bodies of both Richardson and Mine. >Richardson alive in Hawaii, no reason Mine cant be alive either. >Richardson probably used the spider to survive the fall
Imagine the excuse. >Wesker actually had some special CIA Brack Monday gear that helped him survive the fall. >Mine held onto him on the way down. >As thanks for saving him Mine took him to a hospital. >They became best buddies. >Only reason Mine's not with Wesker at Revolve Bar is because Mine was hanging out with Kashiwagi which is why he's not in Gaiden.
>This feels a bit too on the nose

>Andre Richardson already confirmed >Kiryu brings Kasuga to his bar in the demo, how is Kiryu already on such good terms there if Richardson wasn't forced into the Daidoji? >If Richardson lived and was forced into the Daidoji, wouldn't Mine logically be as well? >Hanawa is Mine, we get the usual plot nonsense explaining how Mine not only lived but was aware of Taichi Suzuki

If Hanawa was Mine, they would have just brought back Shido to voice him. He's obviously Morinaga
Maybe the recasting was a big honest mistake from RGG if we consider that Tatsuya Fujiwara also voiced both Rikiya and Yuta but its i think its unlikely.
How the fuck do I unlock this.
I have an S rank in every single fight other than this but still nothing. Do I have to win a certain amount in the casino or something?
I ran around the VIP area like 5 times looking for someone to talk to, I guess I just never managed to wander into the trigger for the conversation. Thanks anon.
>literally everyone works for daidoji >at some point kiryu has to fight all of them >ichiban buys the freedom of everyone by just purchasing daidoji for billions of dollars
>Watase paid 50 billion yen to have Kiryu on for one job >Ichiban sells the entirety of the Japanese economy to the Daidoji because the Prime Minister of Japan didn't have enough money to pay for a Super Crazy Delivery and handed him executive rights instead
>infinite wealth asks to load your gaiden save file at the beginning >no notable impact on gameplay or story at all until the very end of the game when they check the golden panties status
I don't think it's Majima's theme in 8, I doubt there will be a fight with him in this game but I also hated this version of receive you, I kind of like it after listening a few times though
Of course not, he started the Goryu clan back up. You fight him again in this game, he's in a really fancy hotel room that a woman scams you into going in to. He was kind of a pushover though which is a disappointment.
Is it just me or was this one of the easiest Amon fights in the series? Once you figure out that you can just run around and spam drones to fight his, he goes down like a chump.
I haven't finished the Coliseum in Gaiden yet but in 6 just drinking a CC Lemon gave me so much damage I got to his shield so fast I had to run around just waiting for the drones to spawn
I think the villain robots in the colliseum are a hint that the villains ARE alive as daidoji somewhere because how else did this guy get training data on their movesets?
The guitar that plays during Shishido's speech at the end sounds like a slower and more dramatic version of the intro to Scarlet Scar. I wonder if that was intentional.
Kinda easy and the drone things were super pointless but overall one of the better games. I hope they never do those mini quests every again though - This was just the most boring way stretch the length of the game a little further.
I don't know where to put Gaiden because this might be the single worst entry to start with for a newcomer in terms of not understanding the plot at all but they crammed almost every single staple minigame into that ever existed in the series which would be a hell of a deal for newfags, from the top of my head it's only missing slots and pachinko (tahnk god). Like, is there a single longtime fan that would go through grinding out koi-koi for the upteenth time unless they're a completionist? I definitely won't.
Losing the batting center is a blow, but yeah. Plenty to go at this game. It would've been cool if they'd found a way to do bowling in DE like they did pool too.
Looking at the credits again I'm reminded of the super bizarre order the voice cast is listed in these games
Why does it go major, minor, guests but then Daigo and Nishitani's VAs get listed last?
There has to be a reason but I never figured out what
I see
Kim Jaeuck is a pretty boy korean so I can only assume he has a fanbase of some sort
I gotta look back at the other credits of these game since they're very similar
I think Haruka and Yuta along with Haruto are the only ones who still live there. Daidoji was still funneling them money so Haruka is probably running it as an orphanage still. None of Kiryu's kids believe that he is really dead, so they likely want to keep it going so Kiryu has somewhere to return.
>the orphanage kids all grew up and got redesigns/new outfits in 6 >adult Ayako in Gaiden wear the exact same outfit she wore in Yakuza 3
was it laziness?
Kiryu didn't actually check if he was dead and police/medics got to the millennium tower just in time to save him. The only ones you can't defend are Richardson and Lau Ka Long. One was suplexed of the roof of a giant hospital and the other we literally saw get shot right between the eyes
Aizawa's fight is 10 times worse than the Gaiden Final Boss.
how come? While Aizawa's moveset is too basic for my liking, the fight itself is great
it's uncertain how hands-on Nagoshi was with the more recent projects, but if we're to use Gaiden as a gauge to determine whether or not this series can move forward without him, then the answer is undoubtedly YES
so is Nishitani. On that note, I'm still pissed at the fact that it was never clarified why the fuck he uses this name as some sort of title, and whatever happened to Nishitani II. Also, why even associate him with the Jingweon? It almost feels like they're setting him up to play a role with the Geomijul in the future
heres your Nishitani II bro
Majima is Nishitani II
Serpent gets enhanced quicksteps during heat
>and whatever happened to Nishitani II
we never had complete histories of some of the recurring families in the Tojo either I think, it's just a thing that happens
I realized Kaito has stupid low stats to compensate for his heat action so I put him in the back
Holy fuck rubber dinamite cigarretes
>Like a Dragon Gaiden: the man who remembered his name
Is it even worth playing these games now that the creator left Sega?
This is one of the best games in the series yet
>it's uncertain how hands-on Nagoshi was with the more recent projects,
He had basically nothing to do with the actual development and was just pissing away the money hanging out with prostitutes
https://www.frontlinejp.net/2020/11/19/interview-yakuza-7-developers-discuss-the-genre-shift-and-new-protagonist-part-1/
no, the game sucks. nice to play as kiryu again but thats it. new moveset sucks, no heat actions (prease onry 50 dorra game 3 heat actions only), DE combat goes backwards, game has you doing stupid ass fetch quest bullshit just like ishin kiwami to proceed the game, stupid ass grind shit just like ishin to upgrade. garbage.
shishido is a daidoji agent now
I don't see him complying at all.
That also makes me wonder how many past Yakuza hotshots, some of which might have met their end by Kiryu, got flipped into Daidoji agents.
>playing the original yakuza
>decide to level up haruka's trust before moving on with chapter 7
>mfw she wants me to get 20 home runs in a row after getting 3000 slots tokens (the machine gives out 15 on a jackpot)
DAME DA NE
The people that max haruka's trust every game are genuine psychopaths.
hi
also, whoever thought time gated substories were a good idea can suck a fart out of my ass
the game is egging me into going to shinji's rescue yet instead I'm fighting my 7th set of gangbusters
20 home runs in a row took me eight hours straight of attempts in 1 HD when I went after it, 3000 in profit was like 5 hours because I spent about an hour and a half on spins and forgot how much I entered with which was nice.
those are the exact 2 that I just never do.
You can get her to SS rank without those, and all you get for SSS is a worthless marble.
How the fuck does Kiryu fight like that at 51 years old when he's been smoking for 30 years and has been shot multiple times? Are you telling me he's some kind of dragon?
at the very least he's comparable to one
Japanese boomers who make it to 60 without dying of cancer are basically indestructible
The cigarettes and cancer have burned out all of the weakness
>it's okay when Japan does QTE but i'll proceed to bitch about QTE in any other game that isn't made by Japan
kys you double standards homosexual
how many healers and blue tanks are you guys running? I have three healers and I got fucking destroyed in the first 10 man plat battle despite gold being cake. I'm grinding gold to get levels for my team right now
I ran 2/2/6 for the entire time. Worked pretty well except Kaito sometimes just dies randomly.
I'll try just Higashi and Daigo on healing and see how it goes.
I still have quite a few silver characters, but I gotta use Kamiyama.
Been using DoD (Not calling it Yakuza) Style pretty much exclusively
>grapple to knock everyone over
>boost to other end of room to hit anyone Spider didn't
>throw bomb if you have time
>repeat until no trash mobs
only summon drones if you're in heat mode, don't bother trying to 1v1 with it, it's exclusively for crowd control
Kuwana thinks sawa is guilty too, he just can't directly say that to yagami
If Sawa is guilty then Kuwana himself is 10x as guilty. He should kill himself to set things straight. He won't because he is a hypocrite.
he wasn't written to be 100% correct.
That checks out.
>killing people is okay when you're a kid
retard
They didn't kill people. They bullied people. There is a difference. Should they feel regret? Absolutely. Is it entirely their fault? No. People in charge (Like Kuwana when he was a teacher) should have seen the signs and acted. I'm not going to sentence a teenager to death for being a dickhead. If you don't see why that is wrong then you are cucked mentally.
Bullying someone to suicide is the same as killing them. So is turning a blind eye. They all deserve to be put down.
I knew you were the type of person to think The Punisher is correct.
You never did anything stupid as a kid?Something avoidable that maybe if someone had said something to you or you surrounded yourself with better people you wouldn't have done it? Is the idea that kids are retarded and don't deserve to have the rest of their lives ruined for a mistake really that cucked?
The character you are defending blackmailed these supposed "murderers" into killing other people. Real paragon of virtue you are defending.
All of you guys are missing the point of the bullies in Lost Judgment. The ones Yagami interacts with. What these people need isn't retroactive punishment. What they needed is someone to correct them. The inaction of the adults in the situation is significantly worse than the bullying of teenagers. If you disagree then you haven't aged out of high school.
> What these people need isn't retroactive punishment. What they needed is someone to correct them. The inaction of the adults in the situation is significantly worse than the bullying of teenagers
>Is it entirely their fault? No.
Man I side with Yagami in that argument and I even I think you're cucked beyond belief. The first time you face an aggressive person you're going to bend over and spread your cheeks for them, Jesus Christ.
How does a person turn out like you?
>Cuck in Chief tries preemptively calling people who actually believe in not letting people murder you and others 'cucks'
doesn't work like that, little cuckboy
Sawa helped to cover up the bullying and deserved to die.
Even if you want to go by that logic what's your justification for Yagami?
He's sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, he had it coming
>He's sticking his nose where it doesn't belong
So all police officers, detectives, PIs, and lawyers should just quit their jobs then.
She's the symbol of the innocent casualties Kuwana crusade can take
bounding throws are the tightest shit
What a throwback of a gif goddamn.
Bounding throws were easily the best in 5 and I hate how every subsequent game nerfed them.
ive never played yakuza. which game do i start with.
PS2 Yakuza 1 if you're based, 0 if you're a normalfag, and 7 if you're a homosexual.
>enemy hyper armors mid-combo
>before your attack animation finishes they charge up and execute a mortal attack
really hate this shit
Stop mindlessly mashing
I bet he's the same fag that was whining about 6 combat
name a better feel than accidentally tiger dropping someone
doing it on purpose
tiger dropping two people at the same time.
>no deys jus CHILLREN
>din du NUFFIN
>dey had dey whole lyf in fron o' dem
I bet you I can guess what country this guy is from LOL
I'm not ashamed to admit I cried like a little bitch listening to Kiryu sob all over that ipad.
Can't wait for infinite wealth.
Imagine how bad yong yea's version of that scene will be.
I'm gonna remain blissfully ignorant on that one. I might just fucking have an aneurysm from cringe trying to listen to him match Kuroda's performance there.
You don't get it...
He's been approved by the Jap VA, he EARNED Kiryu.
Wait is that not a shop? Is he seriously that short? How tall is he, 150 cm?
160 i think
He's like 5'3 against a 6 feet jap
>old japanese man
>6 feet
Official profiles always list people as taller than they actually are
Kuroda is probably 160 making yongyea 140.
Keep in mind that kuroda takaya is huge. It's like he was born to play kiryu.
Yong Yea himself claims that he's 5'6"/167.64cm
>eng voice of Kiryu
Who fucking does that?
Someone who knows they've reached the peak of their life and will milk it until the day they die
No one.
Even Hayter with his snake obsession isn't as bad as YONG OUT.
This korean might unironically put it on his own gravestone even if SEGA sack him after their current contract runs out.
What is kuroda wearing?
swag
It'll probably be passed around on X as another reason why Yong was a bad casting choice.
>yongyea doing his shitty tough guy voice while also doing a shitty fake cry
I literally don't think I can even bring myself to watch it when it comes out
he is going to ruin one of the most emotional moments in the series
I wish he hadn't recorded it yet so he could use everyone shitting on his performance as inspiration to match kuroda's crying energy
>trailer releases
>kiryu shown ugly crying, tears and snot all over his face.
>what the fuck did he see
>finish game
yeah I 100% get it. he earned that bawling after all the shit he has gone through and yes i cried too.
perfectly executed
niggas really tried to say that "they turned kiryu into a pussy" seeing him cry in the trailer
but seeing what that ipad had to offer also made me cry the most i had in years
Kuroda's best performance. Just as good as Nakaya's performance in Y7.
just wait til the English dub gets patched in
?si=S49sFliQLoOL5gef
gaiden's OST is full of bangers, damn
Is the window to pull off a Tiger Drop that tight in this game or am I just bad? I can’t seem to consistently get it off.
The timing is generally pretty strict though, and a good chunk of moves are unsafe because of how delayed they are.
in script, it's timing window down from 7 (unupgraded in K2) to 3. Really really small window
It doesn't feel that hard to do tbh, i can do it every single time on telegraphed attacks like Shishido's charge punch.
It's definitely tighter than 5's Tiger Drop that'd just come if you mashed triangle.
I really cannot believe how hard the ending left me emotionally destroyed.
hes so fucking lonely man...
I just hope Infinite Wealth lets Kiryu go back. Kiryu's kids will all be in various spots in their twenties with Haruka being 27 and Haruto will already be 7.
>Haruka being 27
oh, I feel old
The vtuber whore is telling the whole Japan Kiryu is alive. There's no excuse for Kiryu to not meet them anymore.
Yokoyama beat cancer himself, he's not gonna have his hero die because of it, it's clear as day he's gonna be fine
>Yokoyama beat cancer himself
oh shit I had no idea
it was Horii that beat it, but still either way, they wouldn't let the main character die because of it
how is that dog still alive?
Rubber years.
It's been around 13 years or so since the events of Yakuza 3 so it's not the most unreasonable thing. Mame is probably going to die in the next 1-2 years though.
Kiryu's gonna cry for the dog harder than he cried for Kazama
I don't understand why everyone cries and piss about this ending :
yeah ok they are doing well, so what ? It was predictable
Because Kyriu missed his kids growing up, he missed Haruto learning to walk and speak and he can never see them again, you emotionally dead retard
keep typing like a twitter whore "OMG IT BROKE ME I JUST CAN'T YA'LL"
just slit your throat already you freak
go back for fucks sake
You can use the camera later in the game
that's good to know. I'm ready to take cute pics with the boys.
cute cute cute!
>you will never be a rich sociopath executive who lets his cutie GF whip and abuse debtcucks for a laugh.
This needs the puppy filter.
So close yet so far
So Fucking Funny. I loved when they kept repeating the joke over and over and oc er and o ver and over and over and over and over
For me the best part of the Dragon Engine is how everything explodes when you run into it
Like that cart in Judgment in that room that leads down to the gambling den
>tfw pulled off a tiger drop on a dude and blasted him completely through a popos shattering the windows and shelves completely
I fucking loved it
>that feel when you're hungry but you just killed some guy throwing him through the store window at Wild Jackson and now the guy at the cashier is scared of you
how long is Gaiden anyway, I'm getting side tracked by all this Ayame stuff and I'm still on Chapter 2
30 some hours for a completionist
I did some side things and my playthrough was almost 17 hours (almost the same that it took me with Yakuza 3)
why did they write Nishitani III like he's a depraved homosexual
Pretty sure he is a depraved homosexual. Shishidou eyes going wide when the Daidoji agent said they were going to throw him in with Nishitani implies that he isn't in for a good time.
Nishitani in 0 was also a depraved homosexual. He was just cooler.
I'M ROCK HARD, BUDDY OL PAL
I liked him.
Doesn't Brawler have the Tiger Drop?
Probably later on, I don't see it so far in the demo unless I'm doing something wrong. The tutorial blurb for it stated that Brawler let you use Heat Actions under specific circumstances, which I assume is if you're near a wall, item, or likewise.
back in 0 brawler only got the counter hook (aka shittier tiger drop), but that was pre-komeki training
That ending was everything.
thanks for the blogpost nagger!
Yagamibros... why is Kiryu stealing his girl?
>Mafuyu is a honest prosecutor girl with a hidden underground party personality
Yagami has like 10 girls, if he needs all of them so fucking bad then he should go confront Kiryu himself and see how that goes.
>Kiryu in side quests: sex haver
>Kiryu according to Yakuza fans:
You mean Kiryu acording to Yokoyama
>according to Yakuza fans
According to Yokoyama, the head of RGG studios and the Yakuza franchise
Yeah Yokoyama is all these things. And if he is of all people is powerless to get that opinion in the actual game, that means it is simply not true.
Yagamibros...he got both his girl and his sequel keked from him
Should have went for the glasses girl anyway. Yagami is a retard
That shot its the yakuza 2 cop finding out kiryu pimping hosts?
>Delivery game where you have to do flips, kicks, and deliver tons of food in a short amount of time
>Barely gets you $15 per run
Ichibros...
chop chop pizzaboy
I love how we finally get American money, After years of playing with yen and its wacky numbers, japan gets to see that a burger costs 9$ American dollars (and thats a bad thing)
When (after which game) should I play 0?
1 or 2
after 5, if you plan to play the good Ishin you can play 0 after it
i can't stop playing Crazy Delivery, Ichiban's dumbass makes everything 10x better
I want to play it more but I feel like I'll burn myself out on it too quick if I do.
probably will, good to wait and just grind the ranks once the actual game comes out instead of wasting getting all the points for rewards you can't carry over
>Yong is deleting any comments related to his performance as Kiryu in his latest video
>you thought he was dead but Sike it was a rubber knife
they really pulled that shit again…
I can't believe this fat fuck actually made me tear up in the ending.
Also, who the hell is Hanawa? Is he Baba? He's the only character I can think of from 5 that met Kiryu and didn't die but Baba is like 40 years too young and was also a punk bitch.
Yu Morinaga, the guy who's kyodias with Aizawa and died offscreen
People only say that because they share a VA but then they look completely different.
Same height.
The best candidate as far as I'm concerned is just some random no one. It's not like he's out of the question but it's also just as likely they drop it altogether.
And he knew Kiryu was Taichi Suzuki
And what this nigga said
There was a whole substory about a dude having to erase himself and get a new face back in Y0, so some sort of face rearrangement isn't entirely out of the question.
He doesn't look like anyone else we've seen who would have interacted with Taichi Sazuki either.
All that paired with the shared VA and the fact that he died off screen makes him the best candidate.
Daidoji is playing their own version of Clan Creator and main antagonists are at least gold rank
Building an antagonist group now that the Omi and Tojo are gone and the later games need an organization to have around for plots.
>Every final boss from the previous games never died
>They were all just recruited and disappeared by the Daidoji after Kiryu beat them
>Kashiwagi, Lau and Richardson were all saved by the Daidoji and are deep cover glowies waiting for someone to walk up to the bar and give them the codeword
>Kashiwagi taking the day off work when Kiryu visited Survive wasn't some dumb coincidence so the writers could tease us with a meeting, he dodged Kiryu on purpose to avoid being exposed
How deep does the Daidojihole go?
I'm still waiting for the reveal that Bando and Ichinose were Daidoji glowies because I mean come on.
who the fuck are the monk/priest and the guy in the wheelchair anyways?
who is the true final boss of daidoji?
is it fucking NISHIKIYAMA?
Kazama shintaro
Turning the Daidoji into a weird high tech black ops suicide squad makes Kiryu threats to them weird in hindsight. The group could have easily killed Kiryu and covered it up.
When they presented daidoji as a fixer, I didn’t expect that.
With the Yakuza dissolved they need a new status quo
One thing I am really hating with these series is how often you need to go back to someone, tell them a thing, get a new thing to do, and run back out. All of which can be done over the phone instead of needing the player to run halfway across the map and back and then again
That's because those are the moments you're supposed to do sidequests and minigames.
Judgment 3 when?
If we ever do get it I can't imagine we'll be seeing the same Yagami.
There's a chance, the guy who ran Johnny's and had all the weird policies died and his daughter took over and has changed the company significantly.
>and has changed the company significantly
Anon, that company doesn't exist anymore.
Wasn't it just rebranded?
That's their plan, but it's unclear if they can pull it off, some big players are refusing to work with them, some talent is already leaving.
The hot lawyer woman got with the nerd, Kaito got his woman back, and Yagami is probably gonna bang that one lady unless she fell in love with Kiryu here
They gave Higashi, and Sugiura full and unique playable movesets, there's no way we aren't getting new ones.
>unique movesets
lol, Sugiura uses Ogita from Yakuza 5's moveset and Higashi uses someone else's knife based moveset
I have no clue what i did to lose the game, but ' i pushed the Rook to the end of the board to take a knight and lost, it happend twice once with a pawn and now a rook
picrel
No more judgment games!
Would be funny if Judge 3’s plot is inspired by this event
Not gonna lie that would be kino and I bet that would piss a lot of people off over there at nipland
>playing the demo for 8
>kiryu stopping the car to throw up
>choosing to run instead of fight
I'm not ready for this shit, especially after Gaiden's ending and the trailer.
I feel like Gaiden was the most that we've ever seen Kiryu smoke on screen, almost like they were hinting at the cancer stuff.
I feel kind of conflicted, because I really don't want Kiryu to die because god damn it he deserves to be happy for once but at this point if they don't kill him it'd feel like they'd be cheaping out.
I actually feel like they're more open to keep using Kiryu in some form after Gaiden's ending
not sure where they're going with the cancer thing aside from nerfing him to not take Kasuga's spotlight though
the cancer is going to be a fakeout especially considering it is not brought up a single time in Gaiden despite Gaiden leading directly into 8.
I will nuke Sega myself if it's a non-CIA twin brother
well there's a time gap
Makes no fucking sense he went to fukushima before hawaii
Probably an excuse to nerf him for gameplay + have him actually sit out for good. I doubt they'll kill him off.
That's because kiryu was supposed to retire in every game but he keeps coming back anyway
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if his illness is just a lie or some shit, or if they fucking cure it or something
>All I feel is pain.
Where did it all go wrong for Kiryu, bros...
Thanks for reading my cope post
I remember him having moments of weakness once he gets to Ishi, pretending to be carsick
>two threads
Nishiki never died, Yoshimura kidnapped him before the bomb went off
Ryuji is alive, Yoshimura grabbed Ryuji while Kyriu and Kaoru were too busy hugging each other
Nah
Ryuji just had a nap then woke up after everyone left, he's probably making Takoyaki in Kansai
Jingu was a daidoji agent and had Nishiki fake their death at the tower using rubber bombs
Black Monday was a Daidoji operation for the purposes of kidnapping Mine
Mine never died, he started a bar in the newest Yakuza city called Daigo
>Bendo Bar
So when he fell he just spider wired to safety?
How else would Richardson be alive, running a karaoke bar in Hawaii
>you can find Nine Gates Tiles in briefcases and not just the one Akame sells
We are so fucking back 100%bros I can't beat shit past the easy tables
The Dadoji faction is just an Amon clan plot to make Kyriu miserable
is Majimeme the best guy to manually control in the arena due to his heat move? I'm getting down to the last 4 plat battles but they are getting tough.
Also, if I give gifts of equipment do they wear them?
chicken guy has a busted machine gun that does stupid damage
>Playing as Sodachi in the Coliseum
Still this game doesnt explain why kiryu was in fukushima getting rubber cancer and that crappy haircut also not even the kids believe kiryu is dead and fuck up surveilance of a fake tomb KEK
Yakuza sucks at pretending to be dead.
That asiatic Nishitani pretended to be dead, but was spotted on the street thus ruined their plan to stop the Omi dissolution.
I fucking hope 8 is turn based. Holy shit they didn't improve shit with the base combat system.
You re gonna rape it with joryu anyway
The fuck you mean "hope"? You can literally play the demo right now
Did they repeat that mistake of demo being early access game?
No, it's unlocked after you beat Gaiden.
Gaiden is the final nail in the coffin of beat 'em up Yakuza. Absolute garbage combat system.
It feels clunky, especially the Yakuza/Dragon style. Its funny one of the easiest ways to play is just kite around with infinite drones and serpent sliding
I'm thinking the series is still in good hands even with him not being involved anymore.
Still, I'm mighty curious as to what he's developing next.
https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/yakuza-creator-nagoshi-says-his-next-game-will-be-violent-and-silly-like-a-tarantino-movie/
>Speaking to German publication 4Players, the former Sega veteran suggested that he didn’t want to stray too far from the formula that made the Yakuza games such a success: drama, violence and humour.
Any guesses as to when it'll finally be revealed? 2024 might not be too unlikely tbqh, at least for a barebones teaser.
A real Yakuza game ought to be a little stupid
>“I want my game to be more like a Quentin Tarantino film
So we get to give the cabaret club girls a foot massage?
Don't forget every line ending with nagger
Not worth shit like the ninja gaiden black guy and mikami
was this guy overrated? i feel like the games have gotten better after he left? Kiryu finally showing some emotion and characters like Yumi are actually mentioned instead of just being completely forgotten
I just opened this thread to say akame is the best girl, that is all.
How do I romance Ayame instead of wasting time with other girls
the sicko snap minigame in the hawaii demo bugs out for me, just stays in one spot in front of a tree and i can't move the camera or zoom at all
i couldn't even quit the minigame so i just had to use up the roll of film on that same shot of the tree
Trash games
This game couldve been good if it only included chapter 1 and 5, everything else was just padding. Probably the worst Yakuza game I have played.
my only complaints are that the story's too short and we didn't get to play kiryu's side of his adventures in ijincho after the dissolution, fight kasuga and his party, or find out why he was working with seong-hui
jesus that ending scene
If only the DE fighting system wasn't inferior in every possible way...
Gaiden unironically has better combat than every game other than 0.
Lost judgement and now Gaiden proved that DE combat can good. It just took RGG forever to reach that point
You know why they're good? Because they don't have guard bounce. Who the hell thought that was a good idea, there was no way you could work around it other than resorting to short combos
ten years in the joint made you a fucking pussy
BRING THAT SHIT
Brazilian?
>10 years in okinawa made you a pussy
For all the fucking discourse around "oh Kiryu never cries like this or whatever the fuck", I thought whatever impact that scene would've had would be diminished due to just how much joking and shittalk happened around that screenshot in the trailer.
Glad it didn't, That shit almost got me welling up myself too.
Kiryu's hands shaking really sells it
Most kino moments were Majima stabbing Shishido in the hand, and later when Kiryu kicked Majima his knife back and he caught it mid air. t. Majimafag
>accidentally spoiled myself on who the professor is
oh fuck, I hate it
haha
How is the story in this game?
wonder if I want to play this first or Isshin first
Realistically speaking he should've fucked Haruka
Haruka is for Taiga.
I wanna know why Majima and the crew are so miserable
Turns out life as 60 year old katagi with no work experience isn't easy?
Because they deserve it. They do not deserve perfect lives or good lives, even. Any ounce of good they've done does not outweigh what the yakuza have done to society.
What is the max level for Joryu clan members?
20
How come they didn't see it coming when Shishido betrayed them? That guy is obsessed with power. There's no way he's on board with dissolving Omi.
>Intro sequence
>Rap music starts playing
It hurts me to see Kiryu being vulnerable in 8
Just finished it, kino ending. I am now okay with kiryu crying
>he doesn't dress Kiryu up like Kuroda with his goofy fedora
I’d love to dress up Kiryu as retarded as possible but it conflicts with his seriousness and cutscenes
Yeah I toggled the option to not show the costume in cutscenes but it only works in the big cinematic ones, in most sequences it still shows, had to restrain myself.
Just finished it.
Good:
>Fights with dozens of enemies at the same time and using Agent style to evaporate them quickly.
Bad:
>I can't tiger drop lol
>Too easy.
>Drones are useless, too expensive to upgrade lol
>Fucking fetch quests
>Rubber knifes, not as ridiculous as rubber bullets but still.
It's even better if you play or have played the Judgment games, comparing the OG Yakuza clans vs the post clans soulless (in a good way) gang mess.
basically boomer vs zoomer ending
>HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON, YOUNG BOY
Do random groups of 4-6 guys really just wander around streets in Japan looking for gorilla-ass motherfuckers to get their asses kicked by?
oi teme
If this is the new peak then why does the game have a 79/100 in metacritic?
Reviewers think every game should be made for newcomers.
No trans people
No black people playing important part
No gay/lesbian people
Ichiban took Nancy with him on an airplane.
Can we take Akame with us to 8?
just finished watching gaiden
I unironically like the ending
more so than the 6 one
Holy shit, Kiryu with round glasses and a tan suit looks so kino. He's basically Giichi from Blade of the Immortal with hair. They need to patch customization into every previous Yakuza game.
Kiryu
the 'cool' Kiryu
what do you mean?
that's clearly joryu, The Man Who Erased His Name™
I just finished the game. WHY THE FUCK CANT KIRYU JUST GO SEE THE KIDS? why must he still remain a dead man? what the fuck is the reason for him going to hawaii again? just vacation? for real?
had lot of fun with the game, the story was engrossing for most part...but the overall plot is just stoopid.
>t.
oh so we just accept that thats how it is then? okay I guess. I'm glad the series at least never forgets its a video game first and foremost so I'll look past these plot contrivances. and honestly shit like this never bothers me, I just honestly am puzzled as to why Kiryu cant reveal himself to dem kidz.
LOSING MY NAME
NOWHERE TO GO
BUT I CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU
I have seen theRadBrad play the game and honestly Yongyea did a great job!
He tried his best and was blessed by Toshihiro Nagoshi to portray Kiryu! He's also up there with Asmongold and Pewdiepie by working hard to be where he is now!
I don't blame him for blocking haters!
So was Kiryu referring to Yumi with the proposal stuff?
Who was referring to Yumi?
Dame Dane Guy
say what you want, but Kiryu's love was literally eternal.
Now that you know the reasoning for it, how do you feel about it?
Everyone shitting on it was a reactionary dumbass trying to frame RGG as "ruining Kiryu" when they did the opposite instead.
It was justified. I cried too.
Kino
I cried
Ten years in the joint
Made Kiryu miss his grandson's childhood
I cried and my friend who was watching me play also cried.
friend (male)?
yes
I assumed it was probably about the kids, although personally I thought it would be something like Nisthani targeting them and injuring one pretty bad, but it's still justified. Seeing the drawing hit me hard. I still think that twitterfag trying to imply that him crying was somehow related to Yongyea voicing him was a retard.
>I assumed it was probably about the kids, although personally I thought it would be something like Nisthani targeting them and injuring one pretty bad, but it's still justified
If anything, I don't think he would've just lost it the way he did if the kids weren't safe.
Anyone would break down at that point.
Taichi truly was the best boy.
Was there ever any doubt of that?
Vindicated, especially as someone who loved 6.
It made me uncomfortable, I had to skip the cutscene. Kiryu is alpha as fuck, no sigma like him would cry like that.
I didn't feel sad at all because I have absolutely zero interest in the Morning Glory kids and I wish they were never written into the series.
>all the morning glory kids are grown up
>still all live together in the same orphanage
Wtf
Irl real state needs a fucking nuke
That's not completely unbelievable, they would probably see each other as family, I just hate all of them as characters, they feel like they exist only as a justification for Kiryu to do whatever he does
>I just hate all of them as characters
Taichi #1, take it back.
Taichi stop posting
The future is now old man.
It’s more unbelievable that they’ve never got any new orphans in a decade.
>new orphans
keeping low profile please understand.
That it was dumb as fuck and completely nonsensical. The series is DEAD.
Can’t wait to see this scene in the dub.
Yong will have to hire full-time jannies to delete any criticism about him
>abloobloofucktwitterbloobloo
BWAAAAAAH BWAAAAAH
It was cringe and gay and officially made the series dead to me. Kiryu crying like a woman is embarrassing.
so are you, but your mom had you anyways
Fuck you, I could beat the fuck out of you and nu-Kiryu.
>t. seething bitch
the 12 year olds are MAD
>I'm not mad YOU'RE MAD
lol
you're so assblasted it's hilarious
why are you talking to yourself?
assblasted and also a fucking retard who doesn't know how Ganker works lmao
but enough about you
>get called embarrassing
>act even more embarrassing
what did he mean by this?
So then, you quit back when he cried the first time RIGHT retard?
Those were an appropriate amount of tears not wailing like a femoid
>Those were an appropriate amount of tears
>12 year old ESLs in charge of dictating 'proper' amounts of emotion
LOL
I'm glad severely retarded people like you get mad at everything and don't get to enjoy things because you don't deserve to enjoy anything.
No. How many times does he need to realize what is most important to him and then instead to go deal with yakuza bussiness, possibly end up in jail resulting in possibly throwing his life under train yet again?
I'll be honest, that scene didn't really do anything for me.
then you're soulless and/or you've only just gotten into the series recently
It's sadder than the reason I thought. Kuroda fucking killed it, and I'm eager to hear how Yong butchers it.
anyone not moved by this scene has autism
What if I was moved by the scene and have autism?
then your autism is mild
>try the Y8 demo
>QTE cutscene during a boss fight
>only Ichi is fighting the boss with the rest of the party nowhere to be seen
>cutscene after the boss is defeated
>Kiryu and Tomizawa are now fighting together with Ichi but Chitose is nowhere to be seen
I know it's a minor nitpick for most, but it triggered me to no end in Y7.
>game heavily encourages you to pick the hero job and locks you into that job for a while
>cutscene Ichiban is always fighting with his fists as a freelancer
>freelancer is the worst job in the game
The RPG games have the biggest disconnect between gameplay and narrative in any of the games
Essence of Buckle Up
I know a lot of us have the same idea about who Hanawa is, but he straight up said this in the story, so I’m not sure
taxi driver
Florist of Sai?
Doesn't appear after 5 and could have stumbled upon Daidoji info, forcing his enlistment
Hula dancer Chitose is sex
HULA GIRLS
>stuck on 3rd King for like 2 hours because of the time limit
>Finally beat it
>Oh man, 4th King is probably gonna be even harder
>He is fucking weak as shit, probably one of the easiest boss fights in the game
>Lost Judgment robotics club minigame
i want to kill myself
I liked it. You probably do, but you do know you only have to get a single block in their spawn to win right, NOT color more squares than the other team like they try to say.
Rush to connect a path to opponent's start area.
How are the kids still in the orphanage when some of them are 20 now?
They live on the beach out in Okinawa on a good piece of land, why bother?
>rubber knife twist
fuck this series I’m out they’ll never learn
Wait for the great finale anon... RUBWREUHHH CANCERUHHHHH!
>fuck this series I’m out
thats what he said
YUME?
Did not like the infinite wealth demo, turnbased just doesn't click for me
They should’ve had a different final boss, using a jobber as the final boss didn’t sit right with me.
Yeah beating the crap out of him three times before really made him not look like a threat
Little baby Kiwami
how old is kiryu now anyway
51? Something like that was one of the options in Cabaret.
>kiryu goes to hawaii
>first thing is two niggas trying to rob him
top kek
the GOAT
with or without the sauce?
how do I juggle? I've done it randomly a few times
I liked the fight where you can pick him or Kiryu and beat the shit out of the other back in 4 or 5, 4 probably.
>when some random low effort comment bootyshatters you so thoroughly you crop and and spam it over and over
lmao
you mean when youre so mad youre too scared to reply any more like the sad steaming seething bitch you are
you forgot to post the cropped comment that ruined your life, ma'am
So far Table Tennis is a scam.
No indication why your ball goes out of bounds, almost 70% of regular shots go out of bounds.
Basically only heat shots work.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/239456-yakuza-4-remastered/faqs/78045/table-tennis
If you try and play fair and square with skill only the balls will go out of bounds.
I think you're just not timing it well enough
Just won first time on easy. It is scammy but not as hard as the first 2-3 hours of your trial and error.
>hit ball when it flashes
>always hold shots
>look at boobs
>get ready for a fast one when she says 'SeeEEE'
>score at least 8
>get motivated by the extra surprise boobs
>go for 11
So is the game good or no?
PS2 Yakuza 1 to Yakuza 8 are a miraculous video game saga not just good.
No
I want a bit of Akame on the side
how long is the LAD8 demo?
Too long since 8 shouldn't exist.
>Black Monday was a Daidoji operation (Daidoji work with CIA as Gaiden proves)
>Nobody saw the bodies of both Richardson and Mine.
>Richardson alive in Hawaii, no reason Mine cant be alive either.
>Richardson probably used the spider to survive the fall
>Kashiwagi alive and running Survive
>Lau Ka Long somehow alive after being headshotted
>Andre Richardson now alive
All thats left is for Mine to revealed
Imagine the excuse.
>Wesker actually had some special CIA Brack Monday gear that helped him survive the fall.
>Mine held onto him on the way down.
>As thanks for saving him Mine took him to a hospital.
>They became best buddies.
>Only reason Mine's not with Wesker at Revolve Bar is because Mine was hanging out with Kashiwagi which is why he's not in Gaiden.
actually had some special CIA Brack Monday gear that helped him survive the fall.
I bet you 10 dollars he used the fucking spider. Its gonna be a "Prototype" that he never used until that moment
Not to mention Hanawa is someone who knew of Kiryu being Taichi Suzuki and was absent from 7 if not 6 as well.
The story demo is very short, and iirc there's no time limit on the Hawaii demo
>Not to mention Hanawa is someone who knew of Kiryu being Taichi Suzuki
Bro, he's got the same voice actor as Yuu Morinaga
This feels a bit too on the nose, I'd be disappointed if it wasn't a red herring
>This feels a bit too on the nose
You're playing a series where "Rubber bullets" was a valid excuse
That's so bullshit it's the opposite of on the nose, anon
maybe, but im saying there is precedent in this series for absolute horseshit plot excuses
>Andre Richardson already confirmed
>Kiryu brings Kasuga to his bar in the demo, how is Kiryu already on such good terms there if Richardson wasn't forced into the Daidoji?
>If Richardson lived and was forced into the Daidoji, wouldn't Mine logically be as well?
>Hanawa is Mine, we get the usual plot nonsense explaining how Mine not only lived but was aware of Taichi Suzuki
If Hanawa was Mine, they would have just brought back Shido to voice him. He's obviously Morinaga
isn't Hanawa actually Moriaga
Maybe the recasting was a big honest mistake from RGG if we consider that Tatsuya Fujiwara also voiced both Rikiya and Yuta but its i think its unlikely.
How the fuck do I unlock this.
I have an S rank in every single fight other than this but still nothing. Do I have to win a certain amount in the casino or something?
Interact with the High-Rollers' Lounge president.
go to VIP section and go to the golden bar area
I ran around the VIP area like 5 times looking for someone to talk to, I guess I just never managed to wander into the trigger for the conversation. Thanks anon.
its an old guy sitting by his lonesome
>literally everyone works for daidoji
>at some point kiryu has to fight all of them
>ichiban buys the freedom of everyone by just purchasing daidoji for billions of dollars
>Watase paid 50 billion yen to have Kiryu on for one job
>Ichiban sells the entirety of the Japanese economy to the Daidoji because the Prime Minister of Japan didn't have enough money to pay for a Super Crazy Delivery and handed him executive rights instead
Huh so that's why it's called Infinite Wealth
>Infinite Wealth
what if Shen comes back and actually gives Kiryu immortality before the cancer kills him
>The golden panties Kiryu got actually gave him immortality as long as he didn't sell them
>infinite wealth asks to load your gaiden save file at the beginning
>no notable impact on gameplay or story at all until the very end of the game when they check the golden panties status
Its all an Amon plot
Amon Clan are all paid actors
gaiden is the most fun I've had with this series since 5
Majima theme in infinite wealth sucks
I don't think it's Majima's theme in 8, I doubt there will be a fight with him in this game but I also hated this version of receive you, I kind of like it after listening a few times though
You can't even do the head in the microwave heat action in this game. Wtf is this piece of shit.
Skill issue, I did it in a substory
Listen to kpop!
Ryuji Goda would never pussy out and join the Daidoji… right?
Of course not, he started the Goryu clan back up. You fight him again in this game, he's in a really fancy hotel room that a woman scams you into going in to. He was kind of a pushover though which is a disappointment.
>finished a few minutes ago
What a fucking ending.
Is it just me or was this one of the easiest Amon fights in the series? Once you figure out that you can just run around and spam drones to fight his, he goes down like a chump.
I haven't finished the Coliseum in Gaiden yet but in 6 just drinking a CC Lemon gave me so much damage I got to his shield so fast I had to run around just waiting for the drones to spawn
kinda weird that this joryu guy has the same tattoo on his back as the famed dragon of dojima himself
Must be a big fan
yep, joryu is the true 7th chairman of the tojo clan
kino qte is not a thing
Do you know what that word even means?
does infinite wealth demo progress carry over to the final game?
I think the villain robots in the colliseum are a hint that the villains ARE alive as daidoji somewhere because how else did this guy get training data on their movesets?
Joryu is kiryu pretty cool plot twist
Force me to use Agent, will you? Face the POWER of me holding the Y button and walking in circles then
The guitar that plays during Shishido's speech at the end sounds like a slower and more dramatic version of the intro to Scarlet Scar. I wonder if that was intentional.
?t=19
?t=64
IT BEEN AWHILE SINCE YA FELT LIKE TH-TH TH-TH-TH-THIS
>just quickstep bro just quickstep bro
Just finished it.
I liked it.
It comes with Virtua Fighter, Daytona 2 and Sonic the Fighters in the arcade as well. Definitely one of the better selections.
And it has like 10 Master System games in it too, those would probably cost $3 a pop if they were selling them individually through Steam.
does it have boxcelios?
>it's only missing slots and pachinko
Losing the batting center is a blow, but yeah. Plenty to go at this game. It would've been cool if they'd found a way to do bowling in DE like they did pool too.
Looking at the credits again I'm reminded of the super bizarre order the voice cast is listed in these games
Why does it go major, minor, guests but then Daigo and Nishitani's VAs get listed last?
There has to be a reason but I never figured out what
haven't played the game so I'm not sure about nishitani, but daigo's voice actor is a well known actor, so he might get to have his own bit
I see
Kim Jaeuck is a pretty boy korean so I can only assume he has a fanbase of some sort
I gotta look back at the other credits of these game since they're very similar
I, the great Etsuko Daidoji was the ringleader of the Daidoji faction all along.
she was the leader of that gang/family, right? or am I completely misinterpreting that substory
also she must be 100 years old now
I would accept this.
I would also accept her being an estranged Amon relative.
THAT ISN'T RUFF MAN, WHERE IS THE ORIGINAL VOICE?
I cried, but then afterwards I wondered why adults and a couple with a kid still lived in the orphanage.
I don't think they all still live there, they just all check in and keep up with each other like family.
Because the orphanage is a front for tax evasion that Kiryu has made. That's the reason why there are no new kids in this so proclaimed "orphanage".
You're struttin like a damn Red Peacock
I was genuinely shocked there was no "Peacocked your mom" reference, if there was any time to ever bring that back it'd be with them.
how the fuck do you pull off all these heat actions in a row? the running kick one barely triggers for me since amon blocks all the time
How did he do it?
He disappeared because he realized how insanely dumb Kurosawa was and faked his death without telling Aizawa.
is it really him
if Morinaga shaved his mustache and got rid of his widow's peak, it'd be 100% believable that these could be the same person.
who is this man
Bring JAV whores back
>the orphanage kids all grew up and got redesigns/new outfits in 6
>adult Ayako in Gaiden wear the exact same outfit she wore in Yakuza 3
was it laziness?
>Thought the game was just going to be "Kaito Files 2: Cashgrab edition"
>It's actually kino
I apologize and kneel RGG
How did he do it?
rubber helicopters
Kiryu didn't actually check if he was dead and police/medics got to the millennium tower just in time to save him. The only ones you can't defend are Richardson and Lau Ka Long. One was suplexed of the roof of a giant hospital and the other we literally saw get shot right between the eyes
>Lau Ka Long
