keeping everyone alive and pushing the team to victory with a well timed uber is the closest thing to sex in video game form, no tf2 class can compete with the high of playing medic 100% optimally with a competent team
Combat medic is one of the most based classes. You can single-handedly change the outcome of any conflict if you do your job well. Force multiplier.
Healers are for betas
Always have been always will be
I play healer because:
-I like inventory/data management
-I like helping others
-I'm not good enough to play DPS
-too scared to play other roles
-other roles are always taken so I end up playing healer
keeping everyone alive and pushing the team to victory with a well timed uber is the closest thing to sex in video game form, no tf2 class can compete with the high of playing medic 100% optimally with a competent team
my favorite memories of a video game online was that of wow pvp, either would or BGs. of that, my favorite role was a druid healer. Absolutely loved the pvp healing, the combat in general and the movement and flow specifically. I'm not talking about buffs or nerfs or specific skills. Blizzard was always retarded about balancing. But I never played another MMO or game like it that just had such good combat and movement. Everything I ever tried by comparison felt slow and clunky. Anyone else know what I mean? What did wow do gameplay or programming-wise or just technically, that made it so different? Any big-brained anon care to give an answer? I'd like to know.
Problem is you play healer and no matter how perfectly you play you lose anyway because by design the win-state of the game is determined by the damage carries and how well they play.
If the DPS players still die despite someone giving them twice as much if not three times as much health it’s absolutely their skill issue
>If the DPS players still die despite someone giving them twice as much if not three times as much health it’s absolutely their skill issue
Yes but it doesn't matter. Almost every PvP game is built around the damage dealers. If the damage dealers fail, the team fails. Even if the damage dealers are braindead retards who don't know left from right, if the tanks and supports don't cuck themselves and give every effort to the dedication of supporting the damage dealers, the game is lost. Yeah it sucks, blame devs who pander to ADHD children who can't enjoy a game unless they have "damage number go up" dopamine high
Works in my game. Idk what to tell you. If my team is having a standoff I can heal them periodically while they shoot from cover while I support with my own fire.
No you’re misunderstanding what I mean. I’m saying in the game I played the class worked on that it felt like it had a large impact on what was happening.
Of course pvp games are centered around damage dealt, what other way can you beat the enemy team without damaging them?? I don’t understand the point you’re making. But if you have a heart unit that still has enough combat options, it doesn’t feel like you lost an entire damage slot by using it to support the team.

Yes in single player games the support class is objectively the most fun, but in multiplayer games it's objectively the opposite.

If the multiplayer game gives the medic class combat abilities I find it the most fun class. Against some people you can go toe to toe and still win despite doing less damage if you’re smart. in other situations just hit and running softening the enemy up is enough, because you’re keeping your guys alive while they mop people up you weakened. That’s when it’s done right.

I'm not denying supports are important, I'm denying that they're the win-condition. The DPS is.

Why are you telling me that people doing damage matters in a team death match? That’s redundant are you retarded? You don’t understand the concept of a force multiplier. If you can keep everyone in the game the overall team dps should be higher. Especially if the medic doesn’t lose all dps ability themselves. You aren’t make any point at all.

What I'm telling you is if the support fails and the dps succeeds the game is still a win. If the support succeeds and the dps fails it's a loss. The support can only be good by augmenting a good dps. If the dps is shit it doesn't matter how good the support is, you lose. The dps is the win condition.

I personally hate when medics are given serious combat abilities. Honestly so many modern designs for support is >Just another fuckin DPS but you have some sort of heal ability
If I wanna play healer I want to focus on healing not click the heal CD once in awile and spend 95% of the game as another DPS. And honestly I think thats whats wrong with modern supports in games. Instead of catering the kind of person that likes supporting they turned healer into DPS lite to attract the millions of DPS mains who are willing to take a slightly lower DPS number in exchange for a much MUCH faster que. I wonder if tanks feel the same way. Fuck in alot of games tank has become the TURBO dps god that can do everything at once.

You’re a brainlet then. You can focus on healing but when the situation arises and presents itself you should have the ability to defend yourself, not just sit there unable to do anything at all. Especially if it’s a game where your healing has a cooldown or you can only heal so many times if it’s a consumable ability. You can split it to be closer to 50/50 heading dps give or take. if the team is at full health already why the fuck are you sitting there not doing anything if you can at the bare minimum do some chip damage to soften a target up? Shit even it being 20/80 dps/healing is a better idea than no damage capability. If you’re by yourself and run across a already weakened enemy there isn’t any reason why you shouldn’t be able to take them out with your peashooter

If the game has support where I dont need to be managing the team for 90% of it then why have a healer anyway? I see this argument all the time >But healer doesnt need to heal for more then 10% of the fight so being a DPS good!
No moron the fight is designed poorly then and should be rethought. Your a retard stuffing your face with garbage modern support design without even considering the fight could be designed different. If a healer only needs to heal for a small part of the fight fuck it remove healer from that fight and add another true DPS.

I was multitasking so got it backwards which I apologize for I meant 20/80 dps to healing. Regardless with reading comprehension you should have understood the argument I’m making.

Almost as if the point in a team is that every member is pulling their weight and making up for each other's shortcomings.
If the healers fail, the team fails.
If the tank fails, the team fails.

that's what i did in PUBG when the set of tactical gear was available >had to give up 2nd weapon slot for one of the items >almost always took EMT gear whenever i found one >revives went from 10 seconds to 4 seconds >can heal teammates -- fully heal with first aid kits in like 3-4 seconds (usually only 80% health on yourself with no EMT gear) >equip M249 as main weapon >spray everyone >reviving everyone left and right >constant full squad >win more than usual
and then homosexuals complained about how it wasn't fair when they could have just done it themselves and started winning. the fuckers complained so much that they removed it from the game. these homosexuals want nothing more than for their enemies to kneel in front of them for an easy kill. the same homosexuals already ruined the game years ago by asking for an action-oriented ranked mode where camping and placement gave little point -- but guess what? they found out that they were even worse at running and gunning, got all mad because they sucked, quit, and then went on a crusade against the game by trying to get people to stop playing with them. it split the queues and ranked is now fucking dead in most regions. worst part is that regular mode back then was basically ranked with leaderboards, but the homosexuals couldn't handle losing points. like, what the fuck? did they think their new ranked mode wouldn't negate points for a loss? why are so many retarded pussy homosexuals in video games? yes, i am mad now
My best friend is an RN (does well with women) they help stabilize and monitor you, they can save your life in certain situations. They mainly monitor you. You’re ignoring first response things like paramedics. Nurses are a cherry-pick. But in an urgent care you might be getting emergency surgery for something or medical imaging to figure out what’s wrong with you. Lots and lots of medical jobs out there other than RN.

don't play any MMORPGs or MOBAs (I am not severely mentally ill)

especially enjoy pocketing dudes with low hours and watching them get more confident
it's a little like being a father, I just feel so proud when they get a fat multikill or take out an engineer nest
When you play any game and get an unlikely kill as a support class it feels awesome because you know you were the underdog but outskilled the other guy and he knows it.

Yes. I will play pyro, I can’t rely on anyone else to do it. the team winning is what matters. Not who gets the credit.
If you got the highest KD as an offensive player you would get credit though.
