That's a lot of ifs.
Stupid fucking retard. What cave did you crawl out of?
Don't ask me, ask AMD why their drivers are shit. AMD has glitches in Vulkan and OpenGL emus that are not present on nvidia or AMD on Linux with MESA drivers
>7900 XTX assuming: >you are spending $1000+ yet don't care about RT
Correct, had a 2080ti and a 3080ti, didnt use RT >you are spending $1000+ but an extra $500 will break the bank
Paying 50% more for pretty lights and cutting it for me >you don't care about emulation
? >playing at resolution low enough where DLSS is redundant
Good point, fsr is a bit wank, but at 4k its alright >or you care about all of those things but $200 is $200 vs the 4080
A good 4080 is 1500,- over here >you got memed into thinking you need 24GB VRAM
If seen some games use 17gb of vram.
I know its a shit game but redfall stutters on a 4080 and almost not at all on a 7900xtx
6700 xt is the best value gpu out there, insane I almost didn't buy it to save for the 3060ti, the only thing that sucks is that rtx minecraft runs at 45 fps, 30 most of the time, everything else is A-Okay.
Also the rx 580 and the 6650 xt depending of your coutry are insane for their cost.
The 7600 seems shit at current price
Unironically Arc770 16gb. It's worth it especially if you have Rebar 300$ and less. Or if you want something at 200$ Arc750. Intel has fixed all their major driver issues.
Happy with my 6750 XT that I paid $350 for. 3070/3070 Ti performance for $150 less. Both companies go fuck themselves, this gen is an absolute letdown.
>product launches >consumers: this is good, it does what I bought it for. >youtube tech reviewers: ugh yikes guys this is not good! It doesn't perform well running 5 instances of Cyberpunk in 8K with the fan exhaust duct taped shut. Doesn't pass our testing standards and we need to boycott this product right now!!
Ok, I get bad products do exist but these cunts literally make the same video for everything. Click bait garbage.
Except 6700 XT existed at $320 for like 6 months+. It's like 20-25 percent faster and has more stable drivers. That last minute price cut to $270 is AMD knowing no one would buy this garbage at $300.
You could buy a 6700xt for barely a difference in price, and the people were expecting it to be performing around that gpu anyways. Not to mention it's been years and there's barely an improvement.
This is the problem with the card. It gets eaten by AMD's lower-mid rdna2 cards. I expect it will get another price decrease when the 4060 launches at $300. A problem for now that the 6700xt is only $10 more.
It's not as awful as the 4060ti but still pretty underwhelming. If it had 12 gb of vram, then $270 would be pretty reasonable. 8GB for $270 is pretty shit.
$10 more than the cheapest 6650 xt on newegg, so basically the same price, slightly less power consumption. Honestly, it's a weird position because it's basically a sidegrade, maybe this one is smaller so it's better for itx builds? Maybe amd fucked up launch drivers like has been the case in the past and it'll improve shortly?
Anyway with two products launching in the same price bracket I expect price adjustments, people just have to hold for a little while to see what happens, prices could go down a bit further.
The only reason of 7600 pricing was because Nvidia pricing.
It was supposed to be $299 but AMD literally made announcement yesterday and changed the price to $269 because 4060 will be a $300 card and 7600 will never beat that card in term of software tech and performance.
7600 is a fucking $200 card on paper but because Nvidia is the KING of GPU, they decide how they price their market and AMD only follow up by making their own card slightly cheaper.
The other anon said why the 7600 card placement is weird and mainly because of the pricing, but you do you.

Yeah, that's how fuck up the whole pricing is.
I already said that 4090 will ruin the whole card pricing down the line and it really happening, even an entry level card got mid range pricing now.
How is a 24% perf uplift over the previous gen (RX6600) bad? I'm assuming it goes for the same MSRP.
The 6600 (and the xt version) was the 1080p budget king last gen, and it looks like that will still be the case given how bad the 4060ti was (single figure % improvement over the 3060ti).
7900 XT is the 7800 XT.
Nvidia increased the price of xx80 by $500, AMD by $250 but they also changed the name and it's only as fast ast the xx70 Ti now (lol).

7700 XT won't happen until AMD gets rid of their 6800/6800Xt/6900XT stock and will launch as 7800 Xt.
It's better than ever now. i3 12th gen is the cheapest CPU in the market with PCIE 5.0 port. It was on sale for $67 last week. Couple that with a $130 z690 board and overclocked DDR4 and it's going to eat ryzen 7 for lunch.
Both of them are monumentally fucking up ahead of Computex. It's actually impressive. Jensen and Lisa should both be in prison for fraud at this point.
got a 7900 xt and it was the worst experience I've ever had
constant fucking issues but the tipping point was the wattage bug when using dual/tri monitors
switched for a 4070 ti and every issue went away like magic
I've heard that the 6950xt is actually a good amd card but fuck running a 400-450w card when nvidia is half that
I'd buy Nvidia (Was with Nvidia for like 10+ years) but when the midrange choice last gen was between a 370 quid 6750 xt and a 500 quid 3070 or 550 quid 3070 ti... Well let's just say I didn't have a choice at all, especially since I don't care about RT (gimmick) and DLSS (good but ultimately not necessary as I don't play on super high refresh rates or 4K monitor)
Nvidia deserves all the bashing it gets, but acting as if a card that is marketed for 1080p with 128 bus gets wrecked in 4K could surprise only an iliterate moron that does not understand hardware. It was clear even before release that the card would suck at high resolution.

because they target the 1080p market. I do not know how many cards they still have from the 30xx series, but since cards are not selling well right now and people who upgraded to 30xx will skip these cards anyway, they target people with 1060, 1660, or maybe 2060. They are greedy, not stupid. And since they are releasing shit like this, they will likely get away with it. God do not make me defend these gays i do not like being fucked into ass by Nvidia amd or intel but what a stupid question.
>$400 >budget card >literally worse than the 3060 ti in almost all respects
Its direct predecessor used 256
nta but now that I think about it, if the only downside to 128 bus is that it performs badly in 4k then it's actually a good move by nvidia. Why would you use a low end card on 4k anyways. I'm a techlet though so if there are any other downsides then so be it I guess. Of course 4060ti is a terrible card but if using that bus will mean a lower power consumption then all low-end cards should also use that bus. 4060ti should've been 300$ though.
its direct predecessor used 192 bit bus, actually
bus width was reduced a bit across the board, but nvidia compensates by using more cache
keep in mind that the thing they're calling 4060 Ti is in truth a 3060 successor, it's using AD106, just like the 3060 used GA106
they're calling it 4060 Ti in order to charge more, that's about it

Nothing, because that will only get you pure shit. Either buy the most powerful last-gen gpu or buy the most powerful current-gen gpu, simple as. They are expensivd but give hou the best bang for your buck and will last quite a while. The lower-end gpus simply put just don't have the longevity to them to be worth the buy.
Which country? The 6650 xt and the 6700 xt give you the best frame per dollar ratio. The 6700 xt is also kind of future proof due to 12gb, runs any game at 1440 comfortably, and handles RT decently. Both of those are great options. If you are only planning to play on 1080p, the 6650xt is enough, but not as future proof.
>buying a 400 dollar 1080p card
Lmao, for that price you should easily 1440p if you buy an AMD card for the same price. Just spend 300 more, buy a used 3090 and get 4k on all your games.
I got a 6700 XT at the beginning of the year for $400. I play at 1080p 144hz and it easily puts out over 100 fps in newer games. Worth looking into at least. Or you could wait and see what the 7700 looks like
If you pay nearly the price of a console for a GPU to play at 1080p for a few years before having to drop to 900p, you are an actual retard.
Seems like you're deadset on it though, so pull the trigger, you likely have no standards anyways.
>buying an overprice 1080p card that only got 5% increased in performance compare to 3060ti >That shit card also losing by -5% against 3060ti in 4k because they downgrade the memory bus.
Meanwhile GTX 950(launch price 159 US Dollars) vs GTX 1050ti(launch price 139 US Dollars)
No unless there is a game you cant run, both 4060 and 4060Ti are gimped.
A 3060Ti on sale would be better or save for a 4070/4070Ti.
Even the RX 6700 and 6800 cards are a better option.
they do, but these new cards need new drivers both userspace and kernelspace, but you still need to use the old kernel drivers https://www.phoronix.com/news/Intel-Xe-DG2-No-HuC if you want hardware acceleration... Basically the igpus are serviceable but the dgpus need a lot of work
>Nvidia secretly based to keep VRAM low, as developers will realize that they have no choice but to actually optimize their gamed if they want to continue selling
lol i bought a 6800 xt reference on launch and I have never felt worse buyers remorse in my life.
the amount of blackscreens I get when playing certain games is unreal
Probably not possible. The chinks want too much money for the gpus now. Nvidia is also getting greedy, of course. The customers get shafted from all sides.
Nvidia and AMD do not seem to really compete against each other. They release the same shit. Nvidia dropped the ball so fucking hard for a few years, AMD was looking good briefly but they fumble so fucking hard alongside Nvidia.
Spaniard here. I use Wallapop and only look at stuff near me. I do not buy anything unless I can see it in person. For GPUs, I ask for benchmarks and pics of their rig.

>The 6700 xt is also kind of future proof due to 12gb, runs any game at 1440 comfortably, and handles RT decently
This is utter bullshit.
But its not even out yet
Review units were sent out.
What sbout the 7700
these gpu manufacturers will kill what's left of vidya soon
>arc 750 for $200
damn.
i currently have an rtx 3080. i want to sell it and get an intel arc gpu and install it on the nvidia jetson board so i can use it with their arm cpu.
thoughts?
So is the 4060ti good for 1080p or should I just wait for the 5000 series? Currently on a 1060 6gb.
You should buy a 6700xt for 320 dollars, it's as powerful as the 4060ti, but has 12gb of vram, instead of 8gb like the 4060ti.
>buying a 400 dollar 1080p card
Lmao, for that price you should easily 1440p if you buy an AMD card for the same price. Just spend 300 more, buy a used 3090 and get 4k on all your games.
All of my displays are 1080p.
I thought about it but I don't know how to feel about buying a 2yr old card.
I got a 6700 XT at the beginning of the year for $400. I play at 1080p 144hz and it easily puts out over 100 fps in newer games. Worth looking into at least. Or you could wait and see what the 7700 looks like
>Or you could wait and see what the 7700 looks like
I think I'll do that, not like I'm in a huge rush to upgrade anyway.
If you pay nearly the price of a console for a GPU to play at 1080p for a few years before having to drop to 900p, you are an actual retard.
Seems like you're deadset on it though, so pull the trigger, you likely have no standards anyways.
>buying an overprice 1080p card that only got 5% increased in performance compare to 3060ti
>That shit card also losing by -5% against 3060ti in 4k because they downgrade the memory bus.
The 4060 Ti is dogshit.
It's literally worse than the 3060 Ti. Because it's not actually a 4060 Ti but a 4050 in disguise.
Reminder that 1050ti was a $150 card at launch and can play AAA title like Battlefield 1 at ultra setting 1080p and over 60fps average.
At $200-230 it could be nice, performance looks acceptable.
And AMD is now usable for gaming, emulators got vulkan now and most games just werk.
>amd could overtake low to mid-end market
>instead they join nvidia in garden gnomeing consumers
I hate PooMD so much, they have inferior products but charge almost as much as Nvidia and retards still defend them
Feels good not being a Eurotard.
Enjoy getting fucked on prices, gay.
you are getting taxed to hell also amerimutt
just price is at $200. easy win.
when's this retarded sissy style shitposting gonna finally die?
Once cards get cheap again and people return to generic amd vs nvidia discussion and shitposting.
>intel gpu
give it to me straight Ganker are they really bad?
People keep saying its a gamble with old games below DX12, I got lot of backlog so I won't even bother with it.
coin toss with old games, basically unusable on linux
>basically unusable on linux
I thought intel had open source drivers. Did I pull that out of my ass?
they do, but these new cards need new drivers both userspace and kernelspace, but you still need to use the old kernel drivers https://www.phoronix.com/news/Intel-Xe-DG2-No-HuC if you want hardware acceleration... Basically the igpus are serviceable but the dgpus need a lot of work
Basically they suck driver wise and compatibility with old games is shit, no DX9 and older support for example.
>Nvidia secretly based to keep VRAM low, as developers will realize that they have no choice but to actually optimize their gamed if they want to continue selling
LMAO, their AAA games barely work on PS5, why should they care about poorfag market.
Nice joke anon. Every AA+ game that has released in 2023 with their trash optimization and performance certainly showed that's the case.
lol i bought a 6800 xt reference on launch and I have never felt worse buyers remorse in my life.
the amount of blackscreens I get when playing certain games is unreal
Stop using windows.
Price drop on RTX4080 when???
Nvidia must know by now that if they drop it to $1000 it will actually have good performance/$ and start literally flying off the shelves.
Why bother dropping the price when you can just increased the 5000 card MSRP in the future?
It really needs to be more like $800
Probably not possible.
That's just how the world works. The price can only be lowered so much.
it's less of a flop than the 4060
Windows users: "This sucks!"
Linux users: "YAAAAAAAAAY!"
>Literally every AMD release
CAN SOMEONE JUST TELL ME WHAT GPU TO BUY FOR 1080 GAYMING
4070
I SAID 1080 NOT 1440
1440 in 2023 requires RTX4080 ($1200+ tip)
I don't like current gaming at all..
Get a 3080 and you're set till the end of this decade
4070 is your likely best choice if you want it to last for while..
RX 6600, 7600, 6700 or go all the way out for a RTX 4070.
Used 3060/2070Super
Unless you play modern shit then youll probably need like a 3090 or some shit idk pc ports are shit
where do you even get used cards from that's actually trustworthy
Your friend
He's chatting shit
Spaniard here. I use Wallapop and only look at stuff near me. I do not buy anything unless I can see it in person. For GPUs, I ask for benchmarks and pics of their rig.
