Don't tell you only have outdated tech like a SATA SSD or a HDD in 2021.

Same. Not that I mind though, since the only reason I got one was because I ran out of SATA slots.

same. but i bought mine because it just seemed easier to have the storage screwed into the mb. also makes it look nicer because less cables.

Games are made to take advantage of sata ssd speeds

        The games dont exist
The future games will be made to work on the lowest common denominator which is sata ssd
Ps5 ports May benefit from it but thats if they ever get ported.

The thing I don't like is my cpu cooler covers up the m.2 slot. When I format or partition drives I like to remove drives that aren't required so I don't frick them up but it's too inconvenient to whip out a screwdriver, take off my cpu cooler, unscrew the ssd and pull it out as opposed to just unplugging a cable.

mine aren't. learn to put some rubber o-rings or something in the mounts.

I have one of these installed 5 years ago and I think it might be dying after being raped to death by read/writes from browsers and some apps
It keeps randomly spiking to 100% active time and just locks up for most of my PC for a minute at a time

I have a 3700x on an x470 board, best I cna do is pcie3 and even then the difference between SATA SSD and PCIE3 SSD is basically non-existent, so pcie4 is completely wasted money for no return.

This speed will be useful for games that weight over 300gb but for 50gb games it's kinda pointless.
