I literally wanted to like Sunshine and gave up on launching it again on dolphin. The mark of a shit game is when you resent wanting to continue playing it.
It's funny to me that Splinter Cell started out as the spy stealth game with all the sweet moves, but MGS ended up becoming the one to give you total control with a surprising amount of ease.
I love super mario 64 and think zelda gets all the praise that it should have.
But I love talk controls. Resident Evil 1 and 2. Tomb Raider 1.
Running around an enemy because you know their attack pattern while moving slow af is sweet. Mentally planning a route to a jump and then doing it despite the camera angle becoming more cinematic is sweet.
>easy to learn, but hard to master >extremely high skill ceiling >game focused on being stylist while transversing the level >all the level geometry is extremely important, momentum is extremely important >instead of kicking you out after each goal, it let's you do as many as you can in 2 minutes. >levels have cool secret areas in places that are tricky to get >it even has a level editor
tony hawk is better than mario 64 and every other 3d platformer
super meat boy
CPMA
mario sunshine

OP asked for better controls and movement, not objectively worse in every possible way controls and movement.
When will this meme about sunshine being bad end?
Is this a discord raid?
Every opinion you don't like is a discord raid

Nah, sunshone is good, great movement mechanics and has momentum based stuff too. Which is more then can be said about any 3D mario game after it.
>mods let you play 64 with Odyssey's movement
sunshine yes, it's got flawless controls imo, it just needs a long jump
Odyssey eh
I mean, Mario Odyssey.

Batman Arkham
team fortress
god hand
openrct2
>try to go backward
>mario goes in a circle and falls off the edge
yeah no
probably many, but none that justifies them just as well trough level design
I love Mario 64, but its turn radius is pretty much the only thing about its movement that does not feel good in today. Pretty annoying.
Yeah it gets annoying having to stop to turn 180 on a dime otherwise you circle and die. Bad blemish on otherwise fantastic controls
Warframe
Mgsv

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
the majority of games released since
I can't. It's the most popular speedrunning community for a reason.
This game's controls suck ass. The whole game is a fucking ice level.
skill issue
