Good game, but the writing was a little heavy-handed at parts

      GIVE ME YOUR GUN

      >Be a deputy
      >Rumours of disappearances and missing people
      >Family in the house have a bad fame
      >See the most white boy city slicker asking for help inside the house.
      >´´uuuh i dunno man calm down...do you live here?``

This scene is RE1 translation levels of absurd

        >Cop walks up to a house
        >A man literally barricaded inside, covered in blood and terrified says "Help, I'm trapped in here with some psychotic maniacs trying to kill me."
        >Cop says "Lol frick off I'm not doing anything, you're crazy."

BOY I LOVE VIDEO GAME WRITING.

        >be cop
        >some random frick youve never meet asks for help in an area with many disappearances reported
        >some random man youve never meet asks for your only gun
well done exposing yourselves as morons once again Ganker. the cop was 100% in the right and its easy to say otherwise when we have context. i thought you guys hated it when people acted stupid in horror movies/games?

          >>some random frick youve never meet asks for help
homie that's literally their fricking job. Why would you show up to a place you've never been too, ask what's happening, if you're going to refuse to help because it's "some random guy you've never met".

"Oh shit, I don't know your name bro. Guess you're fricked. Not my fault."

he was helping Ethan but Ethan expecting the cop to just give him his gun is ridiculous and anyone who says he shouldve is moronic

Not as ridiculous as asking if Ethan lives in the propriety when the he obviously wanted to leave.

how is the cop supposed to know ethan isn't lying, or crazy or just fricking with him?

no thats just the cop staying on gaurd. how could he possibly know Ethan wasnt the killer trying to lure him in? you can find plenty of stories online of cops dying from being too naive/trusting of suspects

It's not a cop's job to protect anybody. They're charged with protecting 'the Peace', not individuals. His job is to assess what's going on and put a stop to it if possible so everything goes back to normal. Whether Ethan lived or died made no real difference.

              >Assess the situation
              >Murders are happening
              >If you let the murderer finish killing, then technically the situation has stopped.
              >Thus, it's peaceful now.
              >Job well done.

Very true, though they'd likely still try to find the perpetrator and lock him up so he could disrupt the peace again. What better way to track him down then by the trail of bodies he leaves?

The cop was completely fricking moronic, not realistic at all. Of course he isn't going to hand over his gun, but he didn't act or talk with ANY urgency and even pulled the stupid c-grade horror movie acting.
          >"hurr durr just calm down son, I'm sure it's nothing"

hes just very supicious of Ethan. the most unrealistic part is the cop even giving Ethan a knife

There's a reason why it's illegal to waste the police's time. It's because they're supposed to act without doubt when it comes to victims, as anyone would know if they've ever called 911. Not to mention,
              >asks for help in an area with many disappearances reported
              Should be even more reason.

Why would he even show up if his reaction to a clear situation is just to walk away?

He had to at least make a token effort. The GPS tracker in his squad car would show that he didn't even bother to respond and he'd have faced disciplinary action.

Crack dens are real. Honestly though the cop should've called for backup.

      >walks into the garage instead of making the suspect walk out and place his hands on the police car hood
      >doesn't call for back up after being told several potential assailants are present on the property
      >after defeating Jack in the garage Ethan doesn't grab the keys off the dead officer's corpse
      >he doesn't run to the police car to grab a shotgun and call for back-up over radio
      >police never show up again yet somehow Chris Redfield+Blue Umbrella mercs shows up in a matter of hours

      Classic horror movie writing honestly.

Why didnt he call for backup? The situation looked pretty fricked for one person.

But then maybe he did because of the ending.
