Aside from an easter egg suggesting Days Gone is set in the timeline where Gabe failed to stop the bad guys, no.
Since Days Gone flopped they probably be relegated back to the supporting studio
the problem is that it was a zombie game when people were tired of the trend and was up against TLOU
the game seems okay honestly but okay wasnt enough for it
still hope we see logan come back somehow

The game is better than tlou/horizon/gow. This and ghost of Tsushima saved the ps4 for me.

the problem is with reviews vs the actual game
TLOU got 10/10s across the board
so when another zombie game came out everyone either thought it was riding on its coat tails or were board of the zombie trend
which is kind of a shame that it happens to games
not just this one but in general
I only played the one on the PS1. I didn't even know they had multiple. I had heaps of trouble with the subway level and I remember the grenade launcher being super loud.
2 is my personal favorite, but I loved how 3 has you jump all over the timeline with different characters and locations. Very kino. Replaying it a year or two ago I realized how serious the story takes itself and it totally works. I miss when games actually acted like what was happening mattered.
out of all of them, the first one is the only truly good one. it almost has a horror atmosphere with the levels like the burning subway station, monastery and the mines. also taser
>Colorado Mountains / Highways >Airbase Escape >Train >Gulag Infiltration, Escape >Agency Lab Escape >that final boss
how did they do it bros? I'm sure there is more amazing levels I'm forgetting
I only ever played the series on PSP via its PS1 emulator. Were the controls always so noticeably delayed with Logan's movement or was that just the PSP's emulator running like crap? Fucking hell did I love the 2 PSP entries though.
How does that even work on PSP without L2/R2? Lack of strafing would ruin the trilogy for me. I don't recall any input delay
I played the two PSP games on PS2 and I enjoyed them for what they were, but found them to lack any atmosphere and style of the original trilogy. Fun for a one time but doubt I will revisit them ever
>How does that even work on PSP without L2/R2?
It wasn't ideal, but I made the analog stick work for forward/back+strafe, while the rest of the controls functioned as they normally would. Just involved a lot of thumb swapping between dpad/stick.
I remember liking the second game and the PS2/PSP games fondly, but if you were to ask me why, for reasons that wasn't the memorable tazer, I wouldn't know how to answer. I just remember it being cool and all in a James Bond'esque sort of way, that's it, but can't remember any actual details.
Thread theme
i forget how great these osts are
2 was the best
>not posting the GOAT syphon filter song
Hoping and praying that nuSnoy doesn't fuck this one.
To be honest I’m just speculating but is there any rumors surrounding syphon filter?
Aside from an easter egg suggesting Days Gone is set in the timeline where Gabe failed to stop the bad guys, no.

Seriously? Fucking why? Days gone was the best thing Sony has shat out in years and they kill it? Why are they so gay?
it was too based for this world.
I’m reading that it sold at least 8 million. That’s considered a flop now?
Nobody bought it at release. Those 8 million copies don't mean dick if people only bought it at 75% off
It's what you get when you pander to low income republicans
I bought it at release.

doubtful. they killed the last remnants of the studio off after Days Gone.
Huh are they making a new siphon filter
I don’t know but I just really wanted to talk about syphon filter with you bros. What’s your favorite game in the series?
I only played the one on the PS1. I didn't even know they had multiple. I had heaps of trouble with the subway level and I remember the grenade launcher being super loud.
The one for ps2 I think it was omega strain where you could collect guns, and co-op with bros for hidden areas
the third one because of that stupid fucking steyr aug xray gun
It was fun, and it's limited to Kabul mostly
the one where you could taser people until they were screaming on fire. i spent so much doing that i didn't even complete the game.
2 is my personal favorite, but I loved how 3 has you jump all over the timeline with different characters and locations. Very kino. Replaying it a year or two ago I realized how serious the story takes itself and it totally works. I miss when games actually acted like what was happening mattered.
Yeah, it fucking sucks how everything is Marvel-tier self-aware ironic bullshit.
2 but I also rate 3 very high, shame so many people dismiss it completely.
Await execution
ANTON GIRDOO
YOUR TOO LATE LOGWe'll see
Sony has a lot of cool ips they could try revisiting but instead we keep getting horizon zero interest & the last of us
out of all of them, the first one is the only truly good one. it almost has a horror atmosphere with the levels like the burning subway station, monastery and the mines. also taser
That taser is one of the greatest video game weapons of all time
2 is amazing. Get out moron
2 is a masterpiece.
the PSP games were great but not charming as the first two games
>they didn't even cleaning the dithering on the PS4 port
I honestly don't think i've ever been invested in a characters story line as much as i was in lian's infection
I was always scared shitless of Lian missions when i was young
>Kabul
>Airbase
>FUCKING HOSPITAL
It still haunts me years later.
>Colorado Mountains / Highways
>Airbase Escape
>Train
>Gulag Infiltration, Escape
>Agency Lab Escape
>that final boss
how did they do it bros? I'm sure there is more amazing levels I'm forgetting
>pharcom expo boss
>chasing archer
>the city streets
2's set pieces where fantastic
posting the absolutely killer original Syphon Filter 3 box art. shame about 9/11 and all that
Man that looks awesome
Was that a first-run thing? All I remember is this shitty one that Canada got.
Something like the original deus ex in third person with high tech gadgets and a semi open world would be great.
Postan my trackin the series
PTSD kicking in
Meant to timestamp it to the Convoy mission, I done goofed

Will they follow the MGS5 route and make Syphon Filter an open world game?

did they bring the taser back for the newer games?
pretty sure it was only in one level in SF2 as a secret weapon
