The fact that you people are genuinely this mad about the cost of competitive when almost every other vgc costs the same to double to compete in with controller costs and battle passes and everything in between actually boggles my mind
This is one of the cheapest vgc scenes to get into, especially since you can get used games for way less than the price you nerds continue complaining about
> has to pay $120 for two extra games that have exactly (1) Pokemon each, even though other games only make you pay for one game. > has to pay $60 for the main game that they are going to play, even though other games are free downloads. > has to pay $300 for the actual console that they are going to play the games with, even though other games like soccer don't need a Nintendo console to play. > has to pay McDonalds money for food while they you off the free wi-fi, even though your parents used to let you use their wi-fi for free before they kicked you out. > has to pay for flight tickets / hotel stay for your tournament in Japan, even though other professionals in their field get flown across the globe for free. > has to pay rent on your apartment, even though other people can hook up with sugar daddies and live for 'free'.
Truly, the life of a VGC player is difficult and expensive.
>you wanna play the games?
>that’ll cost the price of the games
A truly intolerable burden
>Wanting to play 1 game should require 3 games +DLC
> autistic retards everywhere
Take your pill or try some lead.
has anyone ever told you how much it costs to play soccer at even a mildly regulated level?
Can't you just trade then breed?
That would require friends.
GTS exists.
Implying you’re not getting genned Pokémon that’ll just disqualify you without any chance for recourse
>illiterate
Maybe you can’t breed what you want to use
No, the different games can't trade with each other and legendaries can't breed
>You wanna play yugioh?
>That'll be $150 to $1000 bro
Get a job
>just buy 5 games +DLC and a home subscription bro
you should already have the previous games and dlc
nah, I'd rather just pirate them and play on Tabletop Sim 🙂
I really like the new anti-capitalist arc Ganker is on lately. Have yall heard of socialism? It would solve this issue for you
Yes we've heard of "socialism" aka communism, and I would for the events of the 20th century to not repeat please
Portugal is a first world country governed by socialists in the 21st century
>you want to do thing?
>it’ll cost (cost)

Play Showdown it's free
It wouldn't be an issue if the games were good. It's not unreasonable to expect Pokémon players to buy mainline Pokémon games.
