it's the only platform like that. nintendo ports come to pc while the game still has an active community of fappers. microsoft games are timed releases. even Epic Game Store games still get free games and other stuff while there's a visible community to fap with. why is sony the only one to release games almost entirely after hype has blown over?

i think rift apart will do very well on steam.
both nugow and horizon did, and they are much worse games imho
biggest difference is that it's not as easy as checking a box to make it 60 fps instead of 30 because nips can't into coding and everything is tied to the game being at 30 fps so they'd have to basically remake bloodborne to get it done competently without a lot of graphical glitches. which is not happening unless bluepoint does it and it'd be ps5 only like desr for years if that occurs and they might ruin the artstyle.

The fan patch has a lot of visual bugs that won't fly in a real product.

thankfully playstation puts out good pc ports so you don't have to worry about the pc version being worse than the ps5 verison like with every other recent release.

rift apart would be incredibly difficult to port, it's not like spiderman where they just offload some of the asset streaming onto the CPU to make up for the loss of storage throughput. In rift apart it seamlessly switches through multiple stages that each take up the entire shared RAM/VRAM pool. Like 95% of PC gamers do not have hardware to do this. It would require fundamentals of the game to be changed and for what? rift apart isn't exactly going to sell millions on PC
in fact i believe PS PC ports to just be ~over~ now that you can actually buy a PS5. They were just making up for lost software sales
