Realistically I also spent an unreasonable amount of my time trying to teach them to not go to jail. Maybe I'm biased but it felt like a job that should pay better than being a barista.

Additionally, indigenous student performance scales up the more indigenous students are in their school, while children of every other ethnicity have their performance drop the more indigenous students are in their school.

So the other kids sometimes join in their classes and vice versa depending on schedules and all that.

Yeah this is probably a good way to go, having to structure and organise a kids social life seems a little ridiculous, but it certainly seems like a much better alternative to rolling the dice and throwing them into public schooling at this point.

I'm still torn about this, from a purely academic standpoint there is no doubt it's the way to go, in fact if you consider that a 1 on 1 tutor costs the same as a mid-tier private school where your kid ends up in a pack of 30, from a purely economic standpoint home schooling make sense, but it's the lack of social shit that's hard to justify when it comes to home schooling.

Anyway two of the regulars are a pair of home school kids, primary school aged and very sharp already, how they socialise is obviously coming to a place like Bounce (it was actually their HPE/Sport class for the day if I remember right) but also their parents have connected with other home school kids and get them together. So the other kids sometimes join in their classes and vice versa depending on schedules and all that.
The kids were so detailed and convincing I went from never considering home schooling at all to at least viewing it as an option.

Yeah this is probably a good way to go, having to structure and organise a kids social life seems a little ridiculous, but it certainly seems like a much better alternative to rolling the dice and throwing them into public schooling at this point.
