I swear to god there's been nothing but stagnation since then. If they released P.T. tomorrow no one would bat an eye, and the graphics would be heavily praised. PS5 has almost no god damn games, and it's all PS4 ports. We still all run around with smartphones and other than higher resolution it looks the same. We still go to youtube, instagram, and all the same sites. It's like society just froze in 2012 and never moved forward.
We could have built nuclear power plants and nuclear powered desalinization plants all over the world and solved half of our problems instead of wasting trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan. We pretty much burned the surpluss we made in the 90's on those two wars and holy shit that's bad.
Hate to break it to you king but desalination plants produce huge amount of extremely toxic brine that you really cant do anything with. Dumping it in the ocean would kill off any life that come into contact with it and dumping it on land would poison the ground water, completely defeating the purpose of a desalination plant to begin with.

It feels like two completely different plains within the same space time quantum.
There's just too much fanboying on that site to make it even remotely useable, it's literally inhabited by mouth breathers. I just stick with steam reviews
Never managed to play the original PT but I did play one of those PC ports that are fanmade but like 98.5% accurate and I nearly shit myself while playing it for the first time. Had dreams about the looping hallway for like a week.
>Hallway simulator with shitty jumpscares >Reddit guy from The Walking Goyslop tv show and Goyslop Saints movies is in it >soigays creaming themselves about a demo created so Twitch streamers could make "LOOK AT ME FAKE SCREAM" vids
Frick that shit, P.T. and caring about P.T. is peak Reddit
considering how good the demo was
most likely it would have been a revival of the franchise in a way unseen in gaming
a reboot that is actually enjoyed by people who never played the series before and old fans as well
Probably. It's worth noting that PT's gameplay probably had nothing to do with the gameplay planned for Silent Hills, and if you believe The Grate Debate's theory, the story had nothing to do with it either, so there's practically nothing to go off of when it comes to how Silent Hills would have played, looked, etc.
That's the best guess coming off of great P.T.
That said, P.T. ended up being the best horror game of all time.
Because what do you want from a perfect horror game? You don't want to just get it on steam sale. It has to be like an urban legend, hard to find. It has to be really short and concise, almost like a creepy pasta. It has to have a back story, this one involves real actors. It's also, well, really fricking good. It has jumpscares but doesn't overly rely on them, creepy radio host, weird fricking sequences that you have to do to get and ending (which makes you go on forums, adding an extra layer).
I wish it was just a little easier to come across though, lol. Buying an extra PS4 just for that seems too much. That's part of the experience though.
probably not as great as the demo
think back on Ground Zeroes - The Phantom Pain and how vastly superior GZ is in tone, storytelling and atmosphere from TPP
Silent Hills would've been the same
"Playable Teaser" is such a great concept and I wish more games did it. I know most people say that it already exists and is called demos even though it isn't the same thing at all.
Games looked like that back then?
2009 was 28 years ago. i dont feel so good sisters.
>2009 was 28 years ago. i dont feel so good sisters.
don’t

9th gen games look like 8th gen games but require 10th gen performance.
This game ran on a fricking 1070 and if it was released today would demand a 4090
>9th gen games look like 8th gen games but require 10th gen performance.
fricking this
what went wrong?
>9th gen games look like 8th gen games but require 10th gen performance.
I think it's time to retire the "gen" scheme
But how else are they gonna trick goyim into buying new shitty hardware to play old shitty games?
Crazy how literally everything in the world has gotten worse since then.
bump

Haliburton did just fine.
thanks you suckers
thank the fossil fuel barons
and the slavs for being too stupid to boil water thus soiling nuclear's reputation forever
>boil water
not very familiar with nuclear-y things, but would appreciate if could kindly explain

Can you give me sauce on that? I'm really curious. It shouldn't be that bad.
It's nowhere as bad as you make it out to be.
There are diffusion methods of the brine to the ocean.
I genuinely believe the mayans were right about the world ending in 2012.
It just wasn't a physical death though, it was a spiritual one.
Thank the israelites
OH MY GOD IS THAT AN EMPTY HALLWAY?!?!
SO HECKIN SCARYRINO!
thats sarcasm?
PT should have just been fleshed out some more then had a $5 price tag slapped on it
kino
I don't get it
> He doesn't see the monster
OH nononono HAHAHAHAHAHA
Is she peeking out of the right door in middle right? Other than that I can’t fricking tell after looking at it for 5 minutes
Very liminal
It took 7 years for a equally scary game to come out and it was a shitty indie game on PC that used stock unity assets. Horror genre is a joke
what game?
Phasmophobia
Eileen shaving
Would've been shit, frick Kojimbo.

Is Visage good or not? I see the game has a bad user-score in metacritic but most in Ganker say it's great.
never listen to metacritic for anything
>never listen to metacritic for anything
Yeah, then it was them being morons as usual as i suspected.

Same here. I think its one of the best and most significative pieces of videogame ever produced.
I'm still mad that we never got this game
it will be pretty much haunting me forever since there's never ending shitty clones of it as well

You didn't play it. Go be a Black person in some other thread.
Assuming if the game wasn't cancelled, would Kojimbo's Silent Hills actually end up good?
Considering PT was great, sure

Del Toro's still mad about it.
*GASP*
Is that random Amnesia clone, but as a console exclusive?
Done by Kojimasan tanakashi??
What's the best remake for PT?
I have heard PT Emulation is the best one.
"Playable Teaser" is such a great concept and I wish more games did it.
I know most people say that it already exists and is called demos even though it isn't the same thing at all.
it's a terrible concept. if silent hills came out everyone would be pissed and saying it's shit compared to PT and nothing like it
