      Of course not.

Zoomers are really a pathetic creature. I have ADHD and still played 120 hours of this and sometimes think of going back. Ended up finding out most complaints are exagerated too, while real complaints like the horse and it's systems around it being horrible are never mentioned.

Zoomers are literally the ones praising it you morons. Nobody thinks you're "based" for being a thirty-something receding hairline failure who plays Nintendo games.

      this.

BOTW destroyed Zelda for good, not that the recent games were good. Zelda lost it´s sharpness with skyward sword and since then they cling to nostalgia or mainstream blandness.
BOTW is the epitome of normie shit.
It looks nice. It´s very simple. It´s non offensive. It´s not challenging. It´s "comfy" for lazy shitters.
      Total blandness.

Could you play more than 10 minutes straight before the 24hour mark? I don't think I've even played the game for that long. I also used speedtoggle and cheats to make the game less grindy. Why do you care what other people score a video game?

      Anonymous

Was playing 2-3 hours during the week, got all the runes, about 20 shrines and some sidequests, about to go after the first champion, but it feels almost a chore to play it now.

        Anonymous

Well. That's natural. Your dopamine receptors need to reset. The entire game is a chore, mind you, but if you play that long ofc you start comparing it to a minimum wage job.

I beat the game after about 150 hours. But over the years I've myself going back. Its such a relaxing game to play it feels almost therapeutic. I also sometimes play it as a pallete cleanser after playing a shit game.

            >and do what

Nothing really. Just aimlessly wandering around feels good.

It reminds me a lot of Mario 64. When I first got that game, I spent ages just fricking around outside the castlle, climbing trees, practicing my triple jump or diving in the moat and swimming around.

Mario 64 was fun to play without actually "playing" the game. BotW had that quality in spades too.

I'm honestly convinced you zoomer shits are fricking moronic. I say this because BotW horse controls are smoothe and satisfying and some of the best horse mechanics I've seen in any video game.

I need to ask; you DO understand that when you first catch a wild horse in BotW it WILL NOT obey you, right? You have to build a bond with the horse. Its not the controls which are fricked. Its YOU being a moron who doesn't understand the fricking game

I got bored around when I finished 2 divine beasts and 40-50 shrines.
Neat engine and tech, hopefully they actually use it to make a good game next time.

Stuff that needs to be fixed:
-unlimited (and potentially full) heals in the form of cooked foods, this needs an inventory limit, just like swords
-heals being instant from a menu in an action game
-3 weapon move sets; it's just lazy that the game has tons of weapons and they behave identically
-5 enemies + their reskins being 95% of the combat in the game
-the 25 identical combat shrines, put some fricking different enemies there, at least some guardians
-make more bosses with complex move sets like the Lyonel, it's literally the only enemy/mini-boss on the game that doesn't feel phoned in
-more runes you get throughout the game, not just the 4 main ones at the start, this is the reason why the game falls flat after the plateau
-don't make the world soo big if 70% of it will be empty and copypasta
-less 1 minute 1 step puzzle shrines and more 3 step multi puzzle shrines, I'd honestly rather have 50 good, long, meaningful shrines, than 120 ones where 80 are mediocre to awful
-proper, full length dungeons for the main quest

      >-more runes you get throughout the game, not just the 4 main ones at the start, this is the reason why the game falls flat after the plateau
      >-don't make the world soo big if 70% of it will be empty and copypasta
You've got some good suggestions there, but these two complaints reveal that you really didn't understand the game and its feel. Maybe the next one will be more zoomer friendly so that you can enjoy it too.

        Anonymous

Nah, upgrading the runes would be cool. Make it more rpg. The shrines were terrible and most of the quests were shit except for the literal "destroy Ganon" one

I'm the same anon that hasn't played very far through yet, but I hear others talking and that there are actually user created mods even expansion styled ones (new enemies, dungeons etc) that fix some of the stuff you are mentioning there. Is this accurate?

Elden Ring and even Dark Souls 3/Bloodborne completely shit all over it.
Possibly the weakest mainline 3D Zelda game, TP and SS, despite them being slow as frick to get going, were far more interesting and focused games.

I got bored w/ it too and can tolerate some slow ass games, the crafting/cooking bullshit annoyed the shit out of me. I hate mechanics like that esp when they're tied to stuff like traversal/exploration and I just didn't find the world or mechanics that interesting. I've seen videos of people doing cool shit but idk, it didn't grip me the way I hoped

Because we grew up with games like this on a smaller scale, and we got one that was made on a far larger scale. We didn't grow up in the CoD era. We played actual video games for the purpose of having fun.

Nobody plays botw. It's a playground for your imagination, except you don't use that imagination in the game. You use it on youtube to write fart-huffing homosexualy video essays about emergent game design that cover why lighting some patch of grass on fire to get lifted up for 2 seconds in the air by an updraft is the greatest human innovation since space travel was invented. Then you come here and post cope about how baby-brained journo homosexuals that reviewed the game after completing the plateau are great authorities on game history. You're not meant to play the game. You're meant to talk about it and brag about it like it's some shitcoin to which you've attached your identity. Don't think about any of the issues with the game, don't take anyone pointing out the lack of intentionality on the part of the devs or the cheap fisher price tech demo homosexualry that they tried to pass off as a finished game in lieu of actual adventuring and discovery. Just call them snoys and say some bullshit about how nintendo is so magical that they made the very act of walking into the most orgasmic pleasure in existence. It's not about the game, it's about your identity and some bullshit madeup narrative.

Okay, may as well ask you guys - assume that someone has a gaming capable PC. Is there any reason to us the WiiU via Cemu version of BOTW as opposed to the Switch via Yuzu/Ryujinx version these days? Awhile ago it used to be that the Cemu version was more developed and performant (resolution scaling, 60fps mods even though they could frick with physics; I can get around without that mod , graphical mods of other sorts or random other shit), but given Yuzu/Ryujinx and the Switch emulation has progressed a ton since then, how is it today? Any reason to use oone over the other? IE can you do 60FPS without any physics glitches or anything on Yuzu but not Cemu etc.?
