shouldve bought a 1660 super when they were cheap
We can only hope seething chink miners emit graphics cards like kidney stones over the next few months
Microcenter can frick right off with their AMD card prices.
>Insert Evil Chinese Laugh in the distance.
GR15 FOR WOJAKSHIT
I decided to bite the bullet and just bought EVGA 3080Ti at MSRP from EVGA last month.
Should've bought as soon as China banned crypto for the nth time.
consoles are impossible to get and pretty much as expensive as GPUs
What the frick are you talking about? PS5 can be found with little patience for a good price, not to mention that xbox series x is literally everywhere because no one want's to buy it.
my 5700xt will have to last a long ass time. here is hoping intel entereing the fray does something for prices. god, i hope their gpus will actually be good
I could go for some chocolate milk rn ngl frfr
>5700xt
Anon just buy a 6600xt for games and use that beast to mine.
coomers are truly a special breed of moronation.
What’s the best GPU on the market right now if I mostly just play shit like Vermintide TF2 and occasionally Total War? Obviously TF2 doesn’t really factor in here, but I have a Zotac 1080 and it runs at 85C during gaymen unless I undervolt it. Are there modern high end GPUs that run at 75C under load?
Is every case fan slot equipped with a high RPM fan that is progammed by your PC to spin at full speed when CPU is above 60 degrees celsius?
I upgraded from a GTX 1070 to an RX 6800 XT and I must say the 6800 XT produces a tremendous amount of heat that I had to buy a new chassis and new fans to deal with it.
Newer GPU will still be very hot.
Yeah, I’ve got extra fans, the GPU itself just runs at 82C at 100% power under stress and that was when it was new. Now it’s older so it runs about 3C hotter, I replaced the thermal paste and cleaned it up and dropped it 1-2C but I finally just bit the bullet and undervolted since I’m pretty aware that GPU prices won’t be coming down anytime soon so I need this to last.
just buy a pre-built. it costs like $100 for the assembly fee. quit being a poorgay
I refuse to buy 1000 dollars of shit I don’t need that’s probably worse than my 3 year old prebuilt anyways just to get a GPU slightly cheaper than I can from a scalper.
Better to pay 1000 for a whole system than 800-1000 for a single component lol.
Can you actually get a prebuilt with a nice GPU for 1k? I built my system for 1600 a few years ago but it’s a 1440p/144fps system and that includes the monitor itself. I find it hard to believe I could buy a prebuilt that could do the same for less than 2k.
You can probably get $200 out of the premade if you sell it after switching cards
Better than giving money to scalpers
If you give money to scalpers you're basically a literal subhuman
Yes. Nvidia/AMD and now intel all have the decision to „save“ the pc gaming hardware market by selling a price/performance killer like the 1080 back then was. I doubt it though, because they‘re all greedy as frick
No, this is how triple a devs are forced to actually make games with good artstyles instead of riding the more pixels=better/raytracing meme
Not how it dies anon, how it fades back into relative obscurity.
Got a 6800XT MB from an AMD drop in June, just in time before the new wave of shortages.
just get a steam deck
tfw bought a 2080 super before the world went to shit. feels pretty good man.
I could have bought so many cards at microcenter right before all this went to shit and pocketed 20k ez. But actually I couldn’t have because I didn’t have prophetic knowledge. Still sucks I didn’t grab a nice card when I had the chance though.
