Yeah, and all those quests you already did, there's multiple ways you could've done them, or different quests you could've taken instead. It's insane how many options you have.
If I do multiple play-throughs I'll easily have hundreds of hours in this game, it's insane
I was thinking Act I could be its own game. I see why people liked the early access so much
I'm on tactician
Can you give a good example of this? In all my runs I usually finish them in the same way.
Act 2 is shorter, but act 3 could be a standalone game considering how much content there is.
I skipped like 15% of act 3 (don't kill garash early lmao) and it still felt as long as act 1 that I basically 100%. I also skipped like 15% of act 2 which felt sparse but I dodged a lot of the big battles. My overall playtime for the game was 80 hours and 60 hours in-game (subtracts out save scumming).
It took me 30 hours and I feel like I 100%'d the map. IDK how people are taking 40-50 hours unless they are on tactician. I did tactician for DOS2, and despite enjoying it very much, I also didn't want to subject myself to that on a first playthrough again. Maybe tactician is easier on this game though, IDK.
50 hours is the lower end for 100% act 1. On a blind first playthrough tactician difficulty, it's over 70 hours.
I just rescued Isobel from the flying dickhead in the Last Light Inn. Anyone want to give me a number 1-100 on how close I am to the end of my first playthrough? Of course, I reckon the answer depends on lots of choices I can make later on. The depth of this is just ridiculous. It's actually causing me problems, it's so hard to make progress because I keep dreaming up a different million playthroughs I want to try and different ways to handle certain events. Like, I already know if I do an evil playthrough I'm letting flying dickhead take her, hell, I frankly expect siding with the Absolute to be an option so there's definitely a pro-Absolute playthrough
Unironically, you are probably 50% through the game.
You still have quite a lot to do in act then and then act 3 has frick tons of side content (more than act 1 or 2)
Tbh there's not really a pro-Absolute playthrough, I tried that and you still end up having to fight them. Depending on how much you want to see in Act 3, maybe 50-60/100. Act 3 is taking me forever
Thanks bros. Here's another question, am I ever going to find a weapon to replace Blood of Lathander? This thing's fricking nuts. I didn't even realize the Shadow Curse was harmful because it casts light around my cleric and the only person who isn't near her most of the time is my sorcerer who I had cast Light on as a cantrip. Tell me there are other similarly-busted legendary weapons (without saying what they are), I was sorely disappointed in what weapons the Adamantine forge had to offer
There are legendaries in late Act 2 and Act 3 that I eventually replaced that with, but it's one of the most busted weapons in the game so idk depends on your build.
there's lots of busted weapons in act 3, just play the game naturally and you will find them, there was a leech sword thats pretty good but you can use that mace all the way to endgame.
>Blood of Lathander?
shit is so fricking cash and no nothing will surpass it, especially the blind undead passive
was cheeky to place that undead pack right after you leave the monastery
depending how you do the shar shit you can get the spear back if you toss it and it turns legendary
I used it until the last 20% of act 3. Sunbeam is useful.
not to mention the auto revive
25% done
>54 hours
>only just got 4 long rests achievement
Maybe mid maxing rest times wasn't the best idea.
Still waiting for owlbear cub to show up.
>Maybe mid maxing rest times wasn't the best idea.
yeah you will miss a lot of interactions with the companions that way. you should take a lot of long rests because after act 1 the only time you get new dialogue with your companions is during their personal quests.
Other than Nere are there any things that you can miss/frick up if you rest too much?
I went to camp immediately after entering Waukeen's Rest and everyone in the burning building died.
I saved a guy but he keeps looking for some b***h dressed in green I can't find. I just left.
Is it the guy who was trapped under the wooden beam? He's not looking for her, her corpse is on the floor right in front of him. You can find their wedding dowry and bring it to him though, either by using Speak With Dead on her or just rummaging through the surrounding area. The barns, specifically.
They didn't die, they left in pursuit of the dude who was being kidnapped. The story can still be progressed, but you did miss a pretty sweet staff if you care about it.
There's quite a few quests that fail if you camp too much, especially in Act 3. You can potentially have a party member perma-killed because of it.
I don't get why you can't stop the kidnapping. We all know who is the baddie at camp.
whos the baddie... it isnt the little girl is it?
I beat the game and totally forgot about there supposedly being an imposter in the camp as I believe I killed their master, so IG I just forgot about it.
it can be laezel, halsin, gale, isobel, or the little girl
It is very obviously the little girl. I even just tried attacking her in camp, since you can't use Detect Thoughts or any dialogue to call her out, and all my companions turned on me.
I tried attacking her and her gay cat and they just ran off, then they reappeared not long after.
Is this true?? Like it changes for each playthru or are you trying to set me up? I had the scene where someone was shapeshifted as my companion and I correctly called them out for it. But nothing really happened after, and the companion in question was kidnapped.
It depends on who is in camp and approval.
This. You can just do the "softer" long rest if you don't feel like spending supplies, too.
act 1 is longer than all of starfield
That's pretty long for a Bethesda main quest they're usually like 10 hours
Huh. Wasn't Starfield expected to be a very long game? 100+ hours on a completionist playthrough.
if you visit every empty planet
>falling for todd's lies
That's talking the main campaign, you know the string of main plot story missions. Take Skyrim, if you only did the civil war and dragonborn main campaign, it would probably take like 4-6 hours average, if that.
The breadth of Bethesda gameplay is always the "everything else" of their games, besides the main campaign questline.
I already fricked up a couple quests that will be in my log forever I really hate when that happens.
>full time wagie cuckie
>have to spend time with family
>2-3 hours at max a day, 4-5 on a weekend (if im lucky)
Yeah its hard bros but it feels good to have something to play for literally the next 1.5 months.
You have enough content to last for a Year judging by your schedule.
Better than me
>Be divorced single wage cuck
>Destroy my body and career playing 13 hours a day for the last 7 days.
>Was it worth it? It was worth having a videogame memory I thought I'd never get agan
>wife
>kid
>job
>mortgage
>barely able to get a couple hours in a week
>trying to play BG3 and soon starfield on this schedule
>still haven't cracked TW: warhammer 3
>really want to get back into VTMB since i've never played it long enough to get out of santa monica
stay single and jerk off, lads
It's alright as long as you can get a consistent minimum 2 hr gaming session every couple of days or so. It actually makes games more memorable in my experience.
>I'm a cuck and it's awesome, the one time a year my wife let's me frick her is extra super special for it <3
Stop trying to sell your shit lifestyle, we all get enough of that shit from stupid normies. Get married if you find a unicorn, but stay child free.
At least she helps you cook/clean/raise kids and maintains the household though, right?
Hahahaha
Some advice my grandfather gave my father:
>you made her into this monster (left unsaid: by being a pushover)
I hit 70 hours today and got the "finished Act 1" achievement
>70 hours
took me 80 hours to do a full run and I basically did everything there was to do (maybe skipped 1-2 sides on act 3).
What the frick are you doing? There isn't even that much to explore in act 1
I have no idea I thought I was doing good
>took me 80 hours to do a full run and I basically did everything there was to do
nah you didn't. people like you just run from quest marker to quest marker in every game. I'm at 30 hours, still in act 1. my buddy is almost done with the game and he's at 35 hours. i guarantee you missed loads of stuff.
>I'm at 30 hours, still in act 1. my buddy is almost done with the game and he's at 35 hours.
the pain of co-oping this with a zoomer. thinks we're almost done with an act when there's still fog of war that results in 10 hours of cleaning up the map. I imagine we'll end up in the middle of rushers and slow fricks
>50 hours and I already got 2 netherstones
Gonna wake the wyrm then frick off to kill Orin, that's already endgame, right?
as soon as you off Orin you can jump to "final" mission which is a 1 hour segment and you are done.
You probably have shit tons of side stuff to do in the city though which I guess you dont want to do since you don't need xp
>You probably have shit tons of side stuff to do in the city though which I guess you dont want to do since you don't need xp
I might hunt them down and do them anyway, my problem with Baldur's Gate 3 is that I am used with quest boards and giant exclamation marks on top of everybody's heads when they need a quest for you to do, but here you have to find them naturally so it's a lot harder for me to find. It only took me 50 hours to get here but I still did everything I could find, I wish they already had guides up so I could do all of the cool stuff there is to do.
>giant exclamation marks on top of everybody's heads when they need a quest for you to do, but here you have to find them naturally so it's a lot harder for me to find.
Wait until you get to the fricking city, there are so many fricking NPCs it's actually annoying how unclear it is which are worthelss and which give quests.
Act 1 is extremely short, what are you doing that it's taking you 50 hours? It literally has 4 areas to explore
> Beach
> Grove
> Swamp
> Goblin camp
So how exactly does it take you 50 hours?
>he doesn't know
I cleared and looted the entire underdark and the above map and it didnt end til after the gith monastery (which took me two days to clear)
The Underdark is the intro of Act 2 anon and it doesn't have enough content to take you 30 hours. You're lying. If you're not lying please post screenshot of your save file showing 50 hours in act 1.
Act 1 is the starting area, the underdark, and the mountain pass. Act 2 is just the shadowlands.
Aren't the mountain pass part of Act 2?
Don't think so. I wish they'd clearly labeled the acts better, but I always figured it was the intro areas + underdark/mountain pass as Act 1, Shadow Cursed area for Act 2, Baldur's Gate for Act 3. The mountain pass is super short in comparison to the Underdark, I'm not sure why they even bothered with it, feels like there's supposed to be more there.
The game calls Mountain Pass part of act 2, since it tells you that you're advancing to a new region.
It's a transitional region either way, though.
Except you can freely go back and the fast travel locations stacks alongside the act 1 locations. Idk why it gives you that warning. Maybe if you don't assist the grove they all die? Or maybe its a soft warning as I suppose you are technically able to enter act 2 by going through that area?
OP here, not the guy you're replying to. I'm clearing the Underdark right now. About 50 hours in.
>About 50 hours in.
It takes 0 seconds to post a screenshot. Why aren't you doing it?
Act 2 isn't official until you go into the shadow cursed lands, underdark is act 1.
why would I lie
and underdark is part of act 1 u can choose the high or low path I cleared both cause im a completion autist
I'm clearing the Underdark right now but I want to clear both paths. I didn't enter the mountain pass because you get a warning screen saying "take care of any unfinished business" or something like that. Is it okay to enter the mountain pass or will I get locked out of going back?
you can freely go back and forth, thats just a warning letting you know act 1 is ending
Is the mountain pass not part of Act 1?
mountain pass is safe, you only get locked out if you complete the nightsong temple
It will autofinish some quests if you enter.
> I'm not lying!!
> B-but i won't provide proof!!
You're pathetic anon.
I looked at my saves and it doesnt say what act youre in moron
you can see on my achieves finishing act 1 is under "Today"
Your save files have names and a big screenshot.
If you're not lying you wouldn't make this big of a fuss of opening the menu and taking a screenshot
I know you're one of those schizos that think everyone is a shill, but here, not sure what it proves
Nice job staying afk with the game open to shitpost in Ganker. How many threads did you make about "BG mindbreaking Ganker" with the game open on the back?
kek not everyone is as pathetic and obsessed as you are to do this anon
Anon you're literally shit posting here with the game open you lying piece of shit.
You asked me to open it u fricking goof
bait used to be believable
Holy cope
>anon posts a screenshot of him getting out of act 1 quite literally today at 70 hours
>Y-YOU'RE LYING
crpg fans are truly the most autistic people on the planet
>only 9% of people have beaten act 1
bleak
Its pretty long and a lot of people are playing it on coop with their friends
It's long man, I bought the game at launch and I only have around 30 hours in it.
>The Underdark is the intro of Act 2
No the underdark with the forge included are part of Act1
>The Underdark is the intro of Act 2
it quite literally isn't cause the elevator in the forge TELLS you that you are about to into act 2
The elevator in Grym Dark or whatver the frick its called just warns you that you're going to a new region (Shadow Cursed Lands). The same warning you get if you arrive in the Shadow Cursed Lands via the mountain pass. Whereas the two entrances to the mountain pass both give the achievement for moving on to Act 2. I don't know if you get that achievement the first time you enter the Underdark, since I've gone to the pass first in my playthroughs that have made it that far
you get the achievement when you go passed the warning so yes mountainpass and grymforge are part of act 1
who cares some people like to take their time doing shit and check every nook and cranny
Dumbass.
he is unaware
you forgot
>risen road
>underdark
>mountain pass
I guess out of those 3 only one is mandatory, but c'mon
>Reads 140 pages of War and Peace
>Guys wtf this book is so short. Why does it take everyone so long to read it?
It's a CRPG, so no shit. It probably has at least 100 hours of playtime, if not 150-200+, plus lots of replayability.
It's designed for autistics who enjoy super long games.
I think autists are the ones completing the game quickly whereas the normies are savescuming to get better results and wandering aimlessly.
Kek I just started my second playthrough and only just found out about the Shadow Druids in Act I even though i'd literally checked the same area in my first playthrough.
>Shadow druids
The what? How did I miss that
I checked every corner of the map
Start it by checking the big treestump with the wood woads/mephits down by the water near the Hag's shack and have to do this before resolving any of the Grove's problems.
how does this play out if i've rescued halsin and partied with the tiefdudes in my camp
Not sure, I think it might be too late at that point.
Shit, I'm in act 2
Good thing I keep loads of saves
actually theres a hidden chest inside the grove base area with a letter about that tree
You can get Minthara as a companion on "good" playthroughs with this quest.
TFW playing evil and got to frick her after raiding the tieflings just to have her join me in act 2 and turn into a good character who dislikes bad deeds because she was about to be executed by the absolute king guy.
Like seriously? You present to me an evil b***h to frick and then turn her good all of a sudden just because she got betrayed? Typical woman changing her mind at the flip of a coin. Good grief.
Not that I care about the companions you lose out on in exchange but it's wild to me she flipped(regardless of absolute shit) to being good after you sacrificed three good aligned companions for her.
She's still pretty fricking evil, she just is lawful evil not chaotic, she's a bit fo a schizo too since she disapproves of killing people for no reason but she gets approval ups when I torture people. This is her reply when you say "I killed those tieflings to impress you".
>she's a bit fo a schizo too
she sure is, i've also gotten quite a few approvals from her while being nice to animals
How?
At the end of the Shadow druid quest you can convince Kagha to let the Tieflings stay, then you just don't kill Minthara and you can save her in Act 2 and she joins your party.
What the frick
None of the websites told me to do this
Can you still romance her in act 2?
I don't know, I was romancing Shadowheart.
I'm at the point where I found bear dude on the prison, the shadow druids have been dealt with
How would I progress on the killing of the 3 chiefs quest without going after the Drow?
If I ignore them it would seem like the settlement would be raided
I accidentally yeeted her into the abyss a few minutes into the fight. Easiest boss by far.
Nah, just keep Halsin in the prison, you can kill the other two Goblins but don't even talk to Minthara. Then go to Act 2.
so if you knock out npcs they can reappear later?
Only very specific ones.
Knocking her out counts as killing, just leave her be. You miss out on the Tiefling party doing it this way though.
so what you never blow the horn?
That doesn't make sense since Minthara is hell bent on assaulting the grove, where she'd probably die if you don't side with her.
The frick?
Forgot to say you can't let that goblin in the cage escape, and you have to release the prisoner in the Goblin Encampment so that they never find the Grove.
Then she is being tortured in Moonlight Towers for "failing"
>so that they never find the Grove.
>Then she is being tortured in Moonlight Towers for "failing"
IT'S LITERALLY 5 METERS OUTSIDE
>expecting a woman to be competent at her job
anon, I...
Careful big guy, that's my dom wife you're talking about.
Inside the grove, you can check the woman druid personal chest that want to bash the tieflings to start a quest
>Love Karlach
>Hate Barbarian
thank you based withers
now if only i could transmog armor
>Oathbreaker Pally+Necro Gale.
Love me some Karlach Wolfheart barbarian.
Depends. My friend and I play it for the same amount of time roguhly. He got trough act 1 yesterday. I still haven't reached the goblin camp. He didn't know 90% of the shit I've found in the act. He admitted wanting the drow waifu so he rushed the story quests only. Today he said he started a new run with a druid and was amazed how much shit he missed only with the animal speaking and asked me where to find some stuff I mentioned finding.
So really depends on how you play it. If you just focus on the main quest and the companion quests, the game's not that long. If you like exploring like me, you'll find plenty of sidequests hidden around that prolong the game.
literally how? I reached the goblins in like 30mins in EA. It only took me that long because I suck and was fricking around with the illithid on the ship.
The first act its the longest one
I beat the game in 80 hours
i just got to act 2 at 60 hours trying to do all side content dying alot and scouring every inch of the map
I'm 100% convinced people who say they're in act 1/2 50 hours in are marketers
i dont understand how you guys speed blast through the game like that i just got to act 2 at 60 hours like fricking how do you guys not do side quest or loot etc
Just completed Act 2 today
They are lying marketers yeah. It's literally SO EASY to open the menu and showing the files but they won't do it.
The only thing that happens if you consume tadpoles is that the Prince gets mad at you but it doesn't lock you out of anything.
No. People are just really bad at games.
took me 40 hours but this is my first crpg and gettin used to the system and exploring kinda did me in. the map seems huge but i think a good chunk of my time was in the goblin area
50 hours in and still in the Underdark, I'm enjoying exploring every area. Only NPCs and zoomers with no patience rush through games
I feel like the ppl who say Act I is less than 50 hours miss shit because they don't understand how wells work and because they don't read every book/scroll/note they come across like real players.
I'm in Shadow-Cursed Lands right now
Am I totally crippling myself by not consuming the parasites?. I've got 10 or 11 of the bastards now shitting up Astarion's inventory. I know that using them gives you new powers but honestly even on Tactician I am not struggling at all and curious about the story implications. Would prefer a simple yes or no answer
Yeah as far as I know it makes 0 odds to the ending.
I ate ALL the parasites (and companions too) and got the best ending (good).
You become more a mutant, its not worthy unless your characters its okey with becoming a soulless squid dude
You get the bonus of keeping your characters aesthetic pure, but I personally like the space aids look. The infinite flight alone is worth it IMO.
Infinite flight is so fricking good. Can't believe you lose it if you absorb the crown so fricking dumb.
>Can't believe you lose it
Damn, that's terrible to hear, love that shit.
Any interesting interactions with speak with dead/anima?l
I end up using them both extremely often.
Can be a quick way to get clues, if a corpse has anything worth saying it should have a kind of green glow to it. Protip: corpses don't speak to those who killed them, so make sure to use disguise on your character before speaking to the corpse, or use someone who wasn't in the party when you killed them.
Kept myself from dealing with a displacer beast at the circus once the clown goes aggressive and the other Doppelgangers open the cages because when i chatted with it, it couldnt contain its murderboner knowing its getting out and i broke its lock so its stuck.
Animals always have interesting things to say, sometimes they give you quests even
>that one demon pretending to be a cow
Why though?
he wanted the easy pasture life
I haven't beaten act 1 yet because I keep making alts
How the frick am I supposed to win the Z'Rell fight?
Took me 50 hours to beat Act 1. It was 10/10 pure gaming kino.
Meanwhile in Act 2 I’m about 30 hours in ready for it to be over. It’s simply not fun not being able to see more than a few feet in front of you and always being in pitch black
>he didn't get the blood of lathander and/or the moon lanter
lmao
Yeah because I love sacrificing a characters weapon slot to hold a fricking lantern
moron
>his party DPS is so low that he can't hold a lantern
>Just play with 3 characters bro
No. Don’t give me 4 slots to use for my party for 50 hours just to force me into using 3 for another 50 hours.
What’s next, requiring me to have a certain class in act 3? Requiring me to use only melee or spells? Requiring me to only wear light armor?
No. Everyone knows forcing a play style on a player when you’re trying to present to them absolute freedom is just bad game design. It’d be fine if it was for a single dungeon or something but this is forcing you to do it for atleast 40 hours.
i thought it was a joke when they said Ganker is bad at video games
Let the pixie out of the lantern moron, it will put a perma blessing on all your party so there's no need for a lantern. There's even a totally unforseen benefit to doing so in Act 3.
>Let the pixie out of the lantern
Not him, but I had no idea there was one in it, wonder if I can still let it out in act 3.
Don't do it, She is probably PISSED
I found a broken lantern. Did I frick up?
No, you'll need it soon, hold onto it.
Why are you not running solo Tactician anon?
gitgud
bro just frickin open up the lantern you wiener
>tried to open the latern
>twists the knob
>it gets brighter
>twist it again
>gets really bright then the bulb pops
I fricked up didn't I...
I think you killed the pixie inside anon...
>HOLY FRICKING SHIT STOP TURNING THE DIAL PLEASE MY OVARIES ARE FRICKING EXPLODING THIS IS THE WORST PAIN EVER AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Set the Pixie free from it and you don't even need to hold it anymore to be safe.
thank you dolly dolly, very cool
It's dolly three times you fricking moron.
I can't believe Larian expected morons to examine quest items
50 hours at the end of act 2, but im 2 manning it with a zoomer who is not as thorough
40h the only thing left to do is underdark
there's probably 2h of the game running empty in total
post your gang
Helmets off for the pic. You can tell Gale knows he's fricked the second I find another waifu.
>you can frick NPCs that never join the party like the bard and Mizora
>you can even frick a Mindflayer
How many people can you frick in this game?
>can't frick the hivemind fungi
not enough
i demand larian be inclusive to fungus frickers
>get full upgrade
>these are upgrades that don't affect story
>last 30 mins of game
>btw the upgrades affect the story you can only unlock 1/3 endings now
Why the frick did they not give us a single warning that if we take the worms we automatically get bad end. That's dumb as frick, every RPG ever made you don't get bad end for using your upgrades. That is the draw of getting these fricking upgrades.
>bro, everyone one and their mother tells you to dont play with the Illithid bs
>I'll just shove even more worms in my brain, what could go wrong?
Really? I can't see how the worms would effect the endings I got so far wtf
I've no such luxury on tactician. Better worm'd than dead.
>party members say its a bad idea
>intro is literally squidfrickers kidnapping and turning people
>a fricking squid tells you its safe and effective, no side effects
>oh no what could go wrong?
fricking moron
How many can I take before I'm fricked? I've avoided all the illithid dialogue options but I've ingested a worm or two.
Curious too, I haven't used any worms but I've picked Illithid options once or twice early on.
i think when you accept the half transformation is when it changes
>get to last light inn
>go upstairs and get wink wink nudge nudged by First Marcus about kidnapping this woman holding up the barrier
>tell him yeah sure dude hold your horses
>talk to her for a few minutes
>Marcus initiates the kidnapping and I just say yeah frick it lets do it dude expecting to have to deal with all the npc's
>gargoyles or some shit descend down on the inn for an attack
>everyone on premises goes into combat
>we knock her out before anyone gets upstairs
>jaheera asks me what happened
>hell if i know but it wasn't me
>barrier comes down and we have to kill all her people together
>SHE JOINS MY PARTY
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh is this b***h moronic or am I supposed to apply some tabletop rules to this shit
>get to act 3
>Lazael does 300 damage a turn
>Gale does 200 damage a turn as a rogue
>Shadowc**t keeps everyone alive and barely does any damage
>PC is a bard
Wow the game sure is hard!
sounds like it
>Shadowheart: I know you fricked that goblin Lae'zel don't let me catch you do it again
>Shadowheart: I know you fricked Alfira, don't let me catch you do it again
>Shadowheart: I know you fricked Astarian, I didn't know you even swung that way. Don't let me catch you do it again
>Shadowheart: I know you fricked Mizora, bla bla bla
>Shadowheart: everyone saw you fricking the Mindflayer
>Shadowheart: I can fix him
When will this b***h see the writings on the wall?
Does that actually happen? Like if you visit a brother and cuck her do you get dialogue later? Gonna try that
>a brother
You like that BBC huh?
>canon romance
>only like 6 companions, mostly gay men
>lets you frick everybody in the game
Honestly they should have kept all the companions hateful morons and actually released the "good" companions they promised and didn't deliver on instead of making everybody doormats for your MC
There are 5 male and 5 female comapnions, with 3 of those being male origin characters and 3 of them being female origin character.
Is this in act 1 or something
She broke up with me immediately after I dueled and fricked Laezel in act 2
Sounds like it's tied to approval then, shadowheart let me cuck her just fine
Cheating will result in a huge loss in approval, it depends on where here approval is when you did it. As long as it doesn't go below approved you're fine.
You can do all sorts of evil shit as long as you don't get to the red you will never lose a companion. The only one so far that will turn hostile immediately if you do something they don't like is Lae'zel. If you want to keep Shadowheart after slaughtering the druids you need to do all of the quests you can and get her approval high enough before you accept the 'raid on the druids' quest.
karlach and wyll left after i attacked the grove
Wyll comes back to fight you in A3, Karlach... Karlach hurts. I just wanted to save her, it hurts knowing she dies by herself, lonely and afraid.
>Karlach hurts. I just wanted to save her, it hurts knowing she dies by herself, lonely and afra
*ACK*
I'd actually like to see that since I had him banished to hell as a shapeless blob
>Wyll comes back to fight you in A3
not if you vaporize that sexy demoness
>Wyll comes back to fight you in A3
Seriously? Where can I find him?
During the Gortash fight.
So she's a typical woman then?
Whats funny is if you visit the prostitutes she wants to 'share' and the only option the game gives you to sleep with a prostitute is if you let her get railed by a man. This is literally a cuck game.
If you sleep with the devil b***h then Shadowheart basically admits that her and all the Sharr disciples used to have degenerate sex together.
> If you sleep with the devil b***h
Are you talking about the tiefling companion? I'm going to need to see screenshots of this shit
I thought that was if she becomes a Justiciar.
Nah it happens in Act 3 even if she rejects Sharr and your relationship is maxed out. Just sleep with Mizora (Wyll's boss) when you get the chance.
>shar worshippers are all females
HOT
Also doesn't count as sex so she's still a virgin.
So far the only person who canonically had sex with Shadowheart was that girl you find at the Shar temple.
>So far the only person who canonically had sex with Shadowheart was that girl you find at the Shar temple
who? Are you talking about the nightsong? I didn't encounter anyone else
Are there variations to the sex scenes? I watched my friend play and it looked like Mintharas was way different from mine
>Let Volo frick with my eye out of morbid curiosity
Are there any downsides to this? A shame that the saving throw is using my rogue's int
No, inn fact it gives you permanent see invisibility and a few dialogue alternatives.
permanent ability to see invisible targets, no downsides
The only reason it takes such a long time is because 90% of the time you're in combat and watch the enemy take their turn for hours.
Yup, I love that tons of people bought this game without any idea what turn based is
Just like real life DND
>play as a dwarf
>walk around the grym forge being racist to duergar scum
>push them into lava whenever no one is looking
Duergar genocide, best day of my life
i feel like a moron for just killing minthara in the goblin camp, because i trought you can only get her with a evil mc,cwell for the 2 playthrough i guess...
My current party bores me, when do I get more companions? I'm ready to enter the moonveil tower and I have shadowheart, froglady, wyll, the wizard, karlak or whatever she's called and astarion, have I missed any?
a bunch, actually. those are just the origin characters.
Good. Where the hell do I find them? I feel like I've done every sidequest so far.
If you do an evil run you get Minthara in act 1
Otherwise you get Halsin and Jaheira at the end of act 2, and Minsc in act 3
You can get Jaheira even with Minthara
>you get Minthara in act 1
I'm pretty sure she won't join until act 2 no matter what.
I dropped it 30 hours in.
>act 3
Why is there so much fricking stuff, I was expecting an Arx situation and instead it feels like half the game is stuffed into act 3.
>entire act 3 is just a small town cluttered with boring shit
Okay maybe this guy wasn't best choice for head druid.
>gets freed
>immediately wants to leave the Grove again
Shittiest leader ever
i too would chain him to my bed and milk him dry every day. it's probably because he's the only bara elf in existance instead of another lanklet
Is this real? Who is he talking about? What did they do to my husband? Rape him?
After having an orgie with the drow siblings he recounts how he was kept as basically a sex slave for a drow couple in the underdark for 3 years during his youth.
I wonder if this bit was added after Ganker made him into a sex symbol?
>Constantly needs saving
>Big and strong and for what? Always gets captured and abused
>Still a good boy despite all that he's lived for in his 350 plus years
>Says that your character makes him feel things that he thought of was lost gone
>Knows he's past his prime (OLD)
>Canonically is used goods
>Is polyamous because he knows he's used goods and wants you happy
How much more perfect can he be? I love my husband. I love that others love my husband.
IT'S OVER
They couldn't beat Hogwash
>Current players vs. All Time peak
how is baldurs gate 3 in terms of content quantity compared to divinity 2 where it was something like Act2>Act1>Arx>Island
A good amount in act 1 with a lot of skippable content, 2 is rather short, 3 is packed
i see, thanks
Guys i need some advice, I saved the settlement and everyone wants to celebrate, but i dont want time to progress yet in case im missing something so i went to the underdark and wrecked the duergars, havent found the nightsong or whatever the weapon is called and i dont know where else to go before going to camp, i already spent my shorts rests and all my spells but my guys are in top shape, any suggestions?
Nightsong is in Act 2.
I see.
Honestly i thought going to rest would be like pretty much closing act1, so i dont want to leave anything that i can do behind.
Act 1 ends when you enter the shadowcursed lands, but you can go back to the act 1 areas from act 2 up until you start the act 2 ending which the game informs you about.
Ah ok, so i can explore the mountain pass without fearing of screwing up? I already erradicated all the goblin scum.
Yes, and you can explore the underdark and the other part of the underdark.
The time skip is insignificant in almost every situation, just like in BG1 and 2.
Taking a long rest has little to no impact on anything.
There are two times I've found where long resting does something but you have to trigger them first. The 2 dudes fighting the gnolls and the gas cave with nere.
You won't find the nightsong until towards the end of act 2.
I think I'm going to play a beastmaster Ranger, with find familiar raven and summon companion raven both blinding people. What weapons should I aim for, since Ranger could work with just about anything? Could go range, great weapons, heavy armor, dual wielding, etc.
Think I'll have a Tempest Cleric respecced Shadowheart and Divination Wizard Gale too, not sure on the last.
This guy was neat. I liked his voice.
I like that he gave my character a hug and a ring.
>This game is going to be very long, isn't it?
It's frontloaded as are all DOSes
Act 2 was the peak of the game . Losts of kino bosses and moments. Act 3 feels really rushed.
>passing the have a nice day check as a cleric of shar
lmao that was great
Yeah it was. And afterwards you have a bunch of cute zombie Nurses to hang out with.
You can be a Cleric of Shar? I didn't see it when I made a Cleric.
Probably playing as Shadowheart.
>come back through the surgery room a couple hours later
>realize the elf is still alive
>OH I have surgeon tools maybe I can do something with them
>nope
kinda disappointing, fun fight though
>the surgeon
>the bartender
>the tollkeeper
>balthazar
How were they all so based?
>convince he and the devil to KYS
>beat his brother on the drinking game (his weak fat ass dies because couldnt take some beers)
>convince the gold lady to KYS to
top kek, almost convinced his dad to KYS if werent by Nightsong autistically scheeing and reeing him out
best bard roleplay ever
Killing nightsong next playthrough, frick that moronic b***h
Why does Gale look so badass in this picture when he looks like a gay ingame?
What do you guys think of my jack of all trades character?
Going to go 1 Sorceror(Wild Magic)/1 Cleric of Mystra(Knowledge Domain)/1 Wizard/1 Bard/1 Warlock(Archfey)/1 Paladin(Oath of Devotion)/1 Fighter/1 Rogue/1 Druid/1 Ranger/1 Monk/1 Barbarian. Stat spread will be 13's all the way down. Human, obviously, so will probably use a spear and light armor. Not sure who to romance, I do wonder if you get some special romance with Mystra if you are her Cleric though.
Looks good.
Nere's quest is bugged, I didn't long rest once and he still died. Had to reload a save and fight the Gith inquisitor and then explore all of Grymforge without resting, fun times.
I want to visit Shadowhearts pits.
How many of those hours were in the world's slowest combat though? 47?
>play turn based game
>wtf i have to wait my turn
>padding a game's playtime by tedious combat is good because... it just is OKAY?!
it's far more padded with dialogue, you just suck. and if you don't like the combat why play, why b***h and piss and moan here instead of finding something else to do?
I'm so sorry I deigned to criticize your game, Larian-san. *kneels respectfully*
>use common sense
>uh-uh YOU'RE A SHILL
> if you don't like the combat why play, why b***h and piss and moan here instead of finding something else to do?
>on fricking Ganker
Nah, you're either a marketer or painfully new.
>on fricking Ganker
ah down syndrome, many such cases.
Would have been much better with simultaneous turns for the enemies
If you have more hours in combat than anything else that's a skill issue
Even the overworld is slow-mo with clicking around the map back and forth in between shitty larian dialogue and the occasional dice roll.
Are you doped with moron?
There is actually not that much fighting in this game, this isn't some rtwpslop where every 20 seconds you are waylaid by the same 9 gnolls for the 100th time.
How much content did I miss by killing Wyll, Karlach and Halsin?
>lae'zel not noticing shadowheart changed her hair after letting nightsong live
kek my autistic warrior queen
Gilf.
>Doing the Shadow horde battle with cleric and wizard
>Wield Lathander's Blood
>Spam Turn Undead, fireball, and Spirit Guardians
>Everything dies in seconds
Lathander protects
>angered entire shar temple
>spam ice, vine and grease on the chokepoint
>cast dagger storm
>finish off with Lathender muh laser
The battle still took like 2 hours a lot of which was just getting the NPC into position.
I hate the dice rolls so much. Oh you didn't roll the 4 nat 20s you needed in a row? Get fricked loser.
>Nok-Nok in Kingmaker
>Doing double the damage of my barbarian with double kukiri sneak attacks
>Woljif in WotR
>Highest DPS of my entire party easily while being essentially immortal thanks to spells
>Asterion in BG3
>"H-Ha I can do 3 extra damage on a 65% hit ratio once maybe and then explode from a crossbow bolt!"
Are rogues just dogshit in 5e and OP in Pathfinder?
Rogue has 2nd highest damage output out of all classes if you build it properly. You need to go 3 rogue / 9 fighter
Thats a sneaky fighter, not a rogue.
>not the assassin subclass
>not using bonus action hide to force advantage against targets
skill issue
Assassin is suboptimal compared to thief though, actions are king
Asterion is a beast, are you fricking moronic?
im at act 3 rivet town entering baldur's gate just now with the waypoint
how much longer do i have till i finish? starting to feel the fatigue now but want to do cazador's shit
>he actually buys his games
What a moron, you're literally giving money to this SJW wokefest with bear fricking, homos and 'muh refugees.'
i got it gifted
Gb2 /misc/, dumbhomosexual. It's pretty much a sandbox when it comes to options. You can murder and not give a shit about any of the "woke" stuff.
>saw statistics
>rural america
>conservatives don't consume media such as movies and vidya
>games are made to cater to moderate and left wing audiences
>omg why have all of my favorite games gone woke?
You can go full purge the mutant, kill the unclean and the game is fine with it.
>get woke go br-ACK!
As long as you want it. Can be anywhere from 5-50 hours. :/ take a break from the game and refresh your mind.
>refresh your mind.
1. [intimidation] Sounding a lot like the emperor right now. Now I'm going to frick you.
Yeah and 90% of that time was you waiting for the enemy to make their turns, why do people people suddenly think that more hours played = quality?
because zoomers don't understand fun and can only view games as something to do to fill time.
Bros I broke my oath of vengeance by telling Minthara where the village's location... It's not fair... I just setting up an ambush.
I'm not even a lawgay and I refsued to tell her the location. There are children there!
tiefling children. you'd be doing the world a favour
I did it so I could force the hand of the druid to finally act, but instead they just locked themselves into some hole waiting to die and Halsin just fricked off for some reason. Druids are a bunch of cowards despite being really strong.
Thankfully I managed to save the grove without any major casuality outside of Zevlor. I guess I have to accept my faith and be an oathbreaker now.
Druids just want to 1 with nature, should've never let a single refugee near them. I've never seen a game where druids end up in a better position interacting with civilization.
what a gay
Do you talk to good boy?
I can't wait until Scratch and the Owlbear cub have some sort of mutant baby together in my camp.
can owlbear cub appear if i didn't kill the mother or stole the egg?
Yeah, just make sure you save it in the Goblin camp.
I didn't do either, slaughtered the entire goblin camp, and then the cub just showed up there eventually.
Oh so that's where it went. I think the goblin camp is super hostile to me, is the cub fricked or can I go get it?
If the camp is already hostile you might have to fight your way to the cub.
I don't know for sure because the cub only showed up for me after I killed every single goblin/cultist and reloaded the area.
I finished Act I with 67 hours in. Including the Grove/Goblin Camp, Teahouse, Underdark, and Mountain Pass/Creche. I'm slightly above level 7; I have killed many things. Crazy to think the leveling ends at 12 and I am more than half way there going in to Act II. Am I over-leveled?
Party is:
Me: Warlock 5 / Sorcerer 2. Frickton of Deubffs. Can't wait to Quicken my Hold Person next level and hold 4 ppl a turn.
Asterion: Rogue 2 / Fighter 5. Dual wield god. gets 2 attacks + action surge. will get an additional Bonus Action next level from Thief subclass.
Lae'Zel: Fighter 5 / Barb 2. Big Two-Handed Sword. Hits things very hard. 3 attacks per turn + Action Surge for 5. Reckless Swing for Advantage rolls.
Karlach: Fighter 2 / Barb 5. Olympic spear chucker. Spear of Returning + Gloves and Ring that give 1d4 Throw damage each + Tavern Brawler for double Str bonus to Throw. Enraged Throw from Barb. Hits for over 25 per spear.
Yes you are I ended act 1 level 5 and ending it level 6 is considered strong. Surprised you can even hit 7
I cleared The Underdark + Grymforge as well as the Mountain Pass. About to do the Shadowlands now and then when I clear that i'll see what the elevator to Moonrise Towers holds. I missed the second set of Druids that another anon mentioned earlier, but I did get that sweet ass legendary mace for my cleric. Is there any part of the game where you get to use your full party? In some CRPGs big fights or the end-game fight you get to use your entire roster. Does that ever happen, or am I better off putting that on my Dual Wielding Astarion?
>Does that ever happen
Seriously doubt it since the only camp invasion didn't have that happen and us evil playthroughs end up having like 4 companions in total.
What the frick are you even doing for 50 hours during act 1? Doing every single thing in it takes 20 at most.
Took me ~30, but I took my time, ~30 more for act two, I'll probably finish it in ~90 but to be fair I'll see less content because half your potential companions are dead/gone if you go evil.
I instantly killed nere and got the broken larnern, do i need a new one or i can fix that thing.
You need a new one. Fun story if you go evil path and nere actually talks to you like a human being. You learn his journey so far he's a cool dude.
Any way to stop Wyll from getting horns?
>people having to deal with lanterns
just have dolly dolly dolly buff your party
I cannot believe out of 4 people we didn't find anything better than one of us holding up the one lantern for almost all of act 2. The seethe going to the barrier town was real.
>choose shadowhears insteal of the frog lady
>she is so furius that she wants to sleep with the vamprie guy
kek
Why can you just tell every act 2 boss to fricking kill themselves and they do it?
gold toll boss i tried fighting outright but resorted to talkin them into death because holy frick she would just one shot my guys
Because goblins and drow can't be reasoned with, ghosts can
Best boy won't go down without a fight IIRC, unless you just hand over what he wants I imagine.
>Shar just lets this fat frick stomp around her astral plane repeatedly
What a shit goddess
>fat frick evil guy
>has the star of david carved onto his face
What did Swen mean by this?
>Completely clown on him in the Shadowfell after i deemed the undead too annoying by just immediatley casting the laughter spell on him before dialogue.
>Between it and Hold Person Balthazar just got passed around like a football by my Barbarian/Wyll without him able to do a single cast.
I feel dirty.
It is always okay to bully beings of pure evil.
I rushed act 1 and 2 and regret it so I'm starting over.
>get the first Urge gift
>cape that allows you to turn invisible once you kill someone
>as long as I kill someone can stay invisible forever
>already picked charisma from Auntie
Fuuuuuuccckkk now I want to play Rogue.
my MC hasnt eaten a single worm, but i dump all of them on asterhole.
am i locked out of the bad ending? He begged me to let him eat them 🙁
Just keep feeding him worms, anon.
>my MC hasnt eaten a single worm
Not surprising, the powers seem pretty underwhelming.
The react powers are pretty nice, unfortunately even one will result in no epilogue scene with the companion you romanced. Since your head explode and you will be dead. Apparently the human brain can only take the explosion of one worm.
They are until the worm evolves, that is. Then it's just free actions.
Idk man that one that let's you turn regular attacks into crits is a pretty sweet one
But it's once per long rest.
I'm a warlock with a pact to the great old one, opening up any boss battle with a crit and the adds shitting themselves in fear is unbeatable.
I just hate long rests.
I only long rested in act 1 because the game forced me to, Minthara went "you gotta sleep before we raid the grove".
What a cop out
Me too, but there are a bunch of sidequests, so if you run into a hard fight you can go do other shit until it's time to long rest so you can fight them at peak condition.
If you take control of that Githyanki worm remover in the Creche, you get all of you worm powers as bonus actions. Blackhole + fireball, etc all in one turn is great.
The rolls for that are crazy high. I dont see you pulling ot off unless you save scum.
Just need high Wisdom and I used that thing that gives you advantage an any one ability check and save scummed
I just used a lot of inspirations and drank a heroic elixir. I had to see if I fricked up however, kind of walking on eggshells with the frog companion.
It's far too late for me
And here I've been thinking it was impossible because story reasons. I wonder how much that changes interactions
it sucks that they've removed the option to just eat food on the go for minor healing. i used to make astarion eat garlic in ea
>50hours
wtf anon you were suppose to refund it at 1h:59m
how? I've played 10 hours and can't find anymore quests to do in act 1, I already killed the druid camp and I'm only level 4 so it keeps warning me not to go to act 2
Did you explore everything? There are plenty of quests that you only get by exploring.
did you go to the underdark or swamp to the south?
Did you go to the area north of the river?
Also the underdark and mountainpass cloister is act 1 still.
feel like you've missed some areas then. i felt like i was done then i found entire new areas to the north and south and there's some that are less obvious like the spider cavern when you inspect the well in the blighted village.
act 3 is 2 1/2 hours long
Larian blew their load too early, the again perhaps they did it on purpose so low attention span zoomers would give their game 10s
while the boomers actually bother to complete their paper dragon game
>act 3 is 2 1/2 hours long
There's more content in act 3 than in 1 and 2 combined.
you are literally the only person I’ve heard say this. Everyone else says it’s buggy, incompletely, a disaster, and that major NPCs have literally 1 line of dialogue in the entire act and that the ending is a repeat of mass effect 3.
I haven't seen anyone say that.
>blind shill is blind
>Act 3 is where everything unravels at the seams. Act 3 is maybe almost finished but it's damn near impossible to tell because the sheer volume of cut content causes what they left behind to glitch and bug and literally shatter your save game because it's not holding itself together with the missing content.
Just some bullet points of things cut from Act 3
- The largest portion of the titular city of Baldur's Gate.
- Karlachs last Act of story - she dies (or leaves or becomes Mindflayer) so they can Deus Ex her off screen while leaving a huge quest chain unfinished.
- Minthara's last act of story - Minthara being the last addition to the team suffers the most. They cut an entire subplot where she was meant to be pregnant during the events of the game.
- Most of the sidequests ending - There are a ton of sidequests still in Act 3 but a lot of them either have meaningless endings or no ending at all because they were cut for time. This has lead to people constantly trying to figure out what's going on.
>iPhone
DO NOT REDEEM DA BG3 BIG SARS
nice non-argument
Karlach's quest to save her. The main NPC who has been handling her quest has literally 1 line of text in Act 3 where he goes "I can't do anything to help you" and that's it. Her quest is over and then she goes back to hell.
here's another, blind shill
Post your playtime, Rajesh
>Karlach's quest to save her. The main NPC who has been handling her quest has literally 1 line of text in Act 3 where he goes "I can't do anything to help you" and that's it. Her quest is over and then she goes back to hell.
It may be shit and unsatisfying but it's certainly not incomplete. Every quest I've done in Act 3 so far has made perfect sense and been fine other than Mystic Carrion spazzing out and erroneously thinking I'd killed his minion.
>There are a ton of sidequests still in Act 3 but a lot of them either have meaningless endings or no ending at all because they were cut for time. This has lead to people constantly trying to figure out what's going on.
Name literally 1.
the anti bg3 schizo doesnt play the game
he just collects random negative feedback without confirming it's legit and treats it like gospel because it confirms his paranoid delusions
>the anti bg3 schizo
>the
Anon I hate to be the one to inform you of this but there is far more than a single Brazilian in the world
i thought i was the only one that knows it is favela monkeys doing this shit
Like 70% of the "new game bad" shitposting on Ganker is done by Filipinos, Brazilians, Indians, etc. The other 30% are angry it's not on Switch. You saw this behavior with the Harry Potter game, you saw it with FFXVI, you're seeing it now, you'll see it again with Starfield and AC6.
>Karlachs last Act of story - she dies (or leaves or becomes Mindflayer) so they can Deus Ex her off screen while leaving a huge quest chain unfinished.
>Minthara's last act of story - Minthara being the last addition to the team suffers the most. They cut an entire subplot where she was meant to be pregnant during the events of the game.
I played the game and refunded it after ~20-30 hours or so (gog). Eat shit shill.
Imagine being so poor you need to refund the price of a vidya kek.
>They cut an entire subplot where she was meant to be pregnant during the events of the game.
those screencaps are from a dude making you a mod you moronic Black person holy kek
u know what schizo i was unfair to you i thought u didnt have a functioning pc at all
blow me, poorgays. When you get a real job you won't have to shill a troony game for shekels.
>shills get paid enough to buy 4090s
Shilling isn't a real job by the way, shill.
Oh yes, I'm earning lots of money shitting on bg3, let me tell ya.
>obvious shill admits he's a shill
And no one is surprised.
>quick, flip the script!
>accuse them of what you're doing!
>derail the thread, oh wait it's our shill thread, oh frick what do the instructions say now?!
>gets btfo so hard he has to try e-peen
>admits to being a wagie
cope
>brown person upset at character preganancy being cut
And you people accuse the west of degeneracy.
Who is "everyone"? People that haven't played it?
spend 5s on the steam forums (although they keep censoring it).
Surely you spared dear old granny and got that god tier +1 ability score?
Since you can't actually "kill" her there's zero reason not to
This. Although I don't think I could let her go as Vengeance pally. Class related conversion options dry up in act 3 lol. Not even when dealing with main bosses or the fricking hag.
i was astral oathbreaker and the only way to not break an oath was kill her.
therefore i realized i do not like paladin and now im a cleric
sure, why not. she asked nicely, so I did. i ain't eatin that hair tho. shit's disgusting
Eat your hair anon
She's not lying when she says dying is just temporary for her.
I killed her in act 3 though, after dousing her in HAG-AWAY and burning the revive shrooms.
Yes and I also got the girl by threatening to turn her hag skull into a pisspot.
She could've kept her, that girl ain't right.
Ima warlock
Made shadowfart a storm cleric
Astario is an ass ass in
What should I resoect larzel to? Fighter is boring
I'm reading every book and picking up every item and I'm still in Act 1 with at least 30 hours in the game bros..
So what party comp are you guys using?
MC 1 Oathbreaker/2 Warlock/8 Necro Wizard
Frog Fighter 11
Shart Tempest 11
Minthara Fighter 8/Assassin 3
>everybody wants to be a paladin
>the developers reward this by making the class suck and having no good companions to be friends with
Hate this game
Bizarre choices
I didn't even know Paladin was an available class. What does it do?
It kills shit the fastest out of any martial class. Until you run out of spell slots.
>dream visitor keeps telling you to take the jab, its safe and effective
sus af
The way I see it, she encouraging you to kill other infected for their worms instead of letting them become mindflayers, so she's probably not wrong. Ofc I'm not going to get a jab every week, then I'll just become a minflayer.
>she
he doesn't know
Literally no negative consequences. I don't don't about partial ceremorphosis, does that change anything?
Who the frick is nightsong anyways? I think i'm almost done with act 2 and haven't seen it. All i have left is the crypt raphael talked up and going to those fricking towers.
Nightsong is An Aasimar that J Jonah Jameson uses to pretend to be invincible.
It's in the crypt, based Balthazar is there to retrieve her for Ketheric. You should consider assisting him.
You can go to the towers before the crypt if you want a full clear of the act, getting Nightsong starts the end scenario which locks the content you didn't clear.
That's good to know because i would have gone to the crypt first as it seems like side content.
You should've trusted Raphael when he told you it was the last thing you should do. In fact, you should always trust Raphael.
I kinda took "the last thing you should do" as in
a you're gonna fricking die warning
nightsong is in the crypt
Nightsong is Shadowheart’s MTF troony childhood “friend”.
>50 hours in
>finally my turn against the second trash encounter
Is this the power of turn based?
I like both wyll and karlach. i hope they shag
>a sorc has more AP than a melee
wew
Whats your MC class and playstyle?
I have a ranger with dueling proficiency. I have enhanced jumping and specked into the gloom stalker. Can move anywhere, can avoid most damage while still taking hits, and does 2-4 attacks each turn.
I have him and lae'zel blinking around and killing anything up close, but my mc is also strong with bows and does considerable damage no matter where on the field. Still strong enough to knock people off ledges too.
also;
I really wish you could have two playable MC's like in divinity. I rather how two MC's with different roles in their story, and two companions. Rather than 3 companions youll use with lots over overlap every playthrough ( or have silent preset hireables)
Warlock, throwing out an AOE spell and then using warlock blast to constantly push enemies back into it.
Have you played Wasteland 2? You have 4 MCs that you make at the start and then choose from a decent roster of others for +3 to your party for a total of 7 useable party members. So fricking fun man.
Why are third-world demographics so angry abotu this game's success?
No idea. Apparently it runs fairly well on even a 1060 at lower settings, surely thirdies have 1060s by now
22.5 hours in and just had the camp party after saving the grove. How much more of act 1 do I have
Underdark, Grymforge, Mountain Pass are all act 1. So half of act 1 still.
>Mountain Pass are all act 1
It's actually Act 1.5. I didn't even go there until I was almost finished with Act 2.
Are you serious? I thought bg 3 was going to be shorter. This is going to take forever
No, it's a long fricking game
Act 2 is the shortest and it's still about as long as what you've done thus far
chill out and dont try and speed run it
A little under halfway through, depending on how thorough you've been on exploring the world up to this point
>spell DC of grease is bugged to perma be at 12
Frick you Swen, I knew this shit was worse than it should be
Where can i find a good great weapon for my barbarian MC? Whenever i find or make one, like the sussur and the adamantium greatsword, all i get is dissapointment.
What act are you on?
Second, just done with fusing the kid back. Still using the defender axe i picked up at last light.
>Dissapointed by a Greatsword that auto-silences on hit.
Shame.
>Everything that has merit in being silenced succeeds in their roll to not be silenced
wow it's fookin nothin
3 times / turn? RNJesus must frowns upon you, my child
>sussur
FRICK now I remember what I was missing in act 1
There's a pretty good halberd for sale in moonrise towers
>Where can i find a good great weapon for my barbarian MC?
The Commander in the tutorial has a sword that has some good use until act 2.
Sword of Justice is what I used on my Paladin for 99% of Act 1. Shield of Faith without using a spell slot is really good, and I imagine it's even better on Barbs.
Does two-handing a versatile weapon like a longsword work with Great Weapon Master feat?
Yep, as long as you're 2 handing it you can do the -5 hit/+10 damage toggle.
>150
>did everything
>got all of the best gear
>perfect super good ending where everyone is happy including Karlach
Now I want to do a pure evil run, what do you guys think of this char?
Whoops wrong picture.
done first playthrough. I never even saw 2 major companions found in act 1. I had MC/shadowheart/astarion/gale and that was it. Others were halsin and the druid chick in camp.
my next run will prob use karlach for example.
...how the frick did you miss wyll?
I've heard of people having him die in the first goblin fight, never learn he's a companion, and forget about him later
in our original run wyll ate some major shit and nearly died, I think he had like 2 or 3 health left and missed every action he took.
also the time was 50h and I did main quest primarily, will do more side stuff next.
game is *huge*
>50h
holy shit how did you just run through no side quest lmao
first run is main story, then I do all the side stuff at my own pace.
Surely nothing bad will happen with 20 worms in my head.
god i wish this was me
that's one of the coolest fricking scenes in the entire game and i'm absolutely amazed it worked
There's a medical book in the hospital where the surgeon describes how someday they will be on the table as a cadaver and his students will hone their craft on him, this scene played on that premise
I prefer when you have the nurses kill each other and then convince him to kill himself
But this way you get to keep the nurses for yourself.
>Romance Lae'zel
>She challenges me to a 1 on 1 duel in the middle of the night to prove I'm worthy of my love
>My overpowered fighter stacked to the teeth with insane gear
>She immediately drinks my only Elixir of Resistance: Universal and a potion of speed and kills me in one turn
>Says she loves me anyway
>This happens before the long rest takes place so she loses the ridiculously valuable Elixir effect immediately
what the FRICK HAVE YOU DONE TO ME LARIAN? THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR COURTING A WOMAN
Why did you let her carry your elixirs?
I distribute potions and elixirs based on who I think will need them, she is my tank of sorts so naturally I gave her this one, but I guess it's because I wasn't anticipating her to fricking piss it away in a midnight love duel. What the frick kind of dumbass question is that, Anonymous? SOMEONE has to carry elixirs and God only knows I can't predict something like this happen, should I carry them all on my MC who goes on a killing spree every chance he gets because he's le heckin' dark urgerino?
Carry all the elixirs on your main guy and distribute them as needed, passing items in combat does not take an action.
>passing items in combat does not take an action
dam learned something new
Been playing for couple of days now and I gotta say I feel like I got ripped off simply for having to take the time to pirate and install this thing. I will finish it simply out of spite at this point.
what are they up to?
oh
What does the potions with funny names you find in Ethel's secret lair actually do?
>tell frog woman to get lost right at the start
>pretty much find her dead in a ditch 20 hours later
I kekd
I just finished my first blind playthrough.
It took me 150hours but I did a lot of the side stuff
I finished the game in 47 hours
>npc #15793652 here
>I have consooming product
>dutifully walking from quest marker to quest marker
>consooming product in full
>why have you not consumed product yet like i have?
>when is next baldur's gate product ready?

>you must be le mad, and i am not mad, therefore you lose xD
>dabs
He doesn't like that you finished the game in 47 hours. Did you do sidequests?
yes but I think I missed a lot of content because I played an evil character
GPT?
Just finished it. Save had a bit above 100 hours in it, though, apparently, idle and fricking around included, I seem to have logged around 140 hours on the game since the Early Access ended.
Still got a couple of vacation days left, so will probably make a new character tomorrow.
I'm 40 hours in on Tactician, still in Act 1. I've done [presumably] all the quests on the surface, and am currently exploring Underdark. Thing is, I don't feel like I really wasted any time; I've been thorough but efficient.
where the FRICK is the exit in the Zhentarim basement?
