It doesn't, in fact it gets worse the more you play.
If you are not having fun play something else, quite simple. I was having a blast from the get go and wore a goofy overjoyed smile on my face for the mine cart chase followed by unleashing the flame blade. Combat was fairly annoying for sometime with only Alph but once you get the hold attack to charge and additional party members things picked up fast. Gotta learn to appreciate the games you can and stop wasting time trying to see what others liked so much.

Good? Never. Once you get and turn on the artifact that doubles all damage though, it becomes tolerable.
the same recolored 5-6 weapons and enemies really killed this game for me as did the boring cast and predictable stories
