About to boot PREY an immersive sim by Arkane Studios for the first time, originally released back in 2017. The project was quite controversial due to its title which caused a rift between fans of the original game developed by Human Head Studios and newcomers.

The game was a financial dud despite of its metascore of 82.
Let's find out if it's good or not.

It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14

UFOs Are A Psyop Shirt $21.68

I feel bad for you not getting replies.
Here's some charity, and never underestimate what paths a pistol and a tank of oxygen can open for you.

its such a shame, would have loved to see what kind of game they would have developed had this been a success and they had even better budget to work with

Still to this day the worst game I ever wasted my time and money on. I unironically give it a 0/10.

Then you're a complete moron. The game is one of the best games I've ever played. Giving it a 0/10 makes no sense.

      Pretty gay opinion, moron.

It was the most "okay" game I have ever played.
    >the interface when using computer screens and such was inconvenient
    >combat was a chore and enemies were boring
    >difficulty drops a cliff once you get some equipment, until then, it's a matter of just holding on
    >some upgrades were worthless
    >the time it takes to just grab heavy items made throwing stuff around not enjoyable.
    >all of the characters were boring

      >some upgrades were worthless
      which ones?
i didn't do much with the typhon powers but most upgrades seemed useful and viable at least
      >the time it takes to just grab heavy items made throwing stuff around not enjoyable.
fair, though I feel like it was like this to make the combat with the power more 'methodical' there is so much shit laying around if you could just grab and toss the heavy shit with no delay it would trivialize the combat, tho its not like its particularly challenging with most combat upgrades

Yeah I agree with pretty much all that, but I never had trouble with the computer screens. Thought the way it was done was pretty good.
As soon as you max out wrench and running without being heard, it's easy, but still fun I thought.

Agreed 100%, with the side note that playing the DLC has everything worthwhile in the game without being so tedious.
I don't know who you are OP and why you're trying so hard to push this as a good game, let alone an 'immersive sim', but all you're doing is setting expectations way too high.

      Immersive sims are very niche.

unironic paid shill, nobody talks about video games like this

No, he's just posting in an exaggeratedly autistic manner for attention. Shill OPs are the ones that say something along the lines of "What feature of (upcoming game) are you most excited about?" - open ended questions designed to effortlessly generate conversation, with no indication given as to why the OP is interested in this information.

Was this that really bad bioshock ripoff? So many people wish they were Ken Levine it's sickening. Should've just stuck to prey 2.

      >Was this that really bad bioshock ripoff?
It's nothing like BioShock. It's essentially System Shock 3, aka a real game made for adults instead of the dumbed down travesty that was BioShock.

Prey is incredibly dumbed down compared to System Shock 2.

For me, it's the best game since Bloodborne.

It's great and I fricking love it. Immersive Sims are just the cursed genre, is all.

divergent skill trees mean you need to do two playthroughs to experience everything in the game but there's not really anything story-wise to bring you back to it after beating it once

5/10 usually and 9/10 on occasion

    >Let's find out if it's good or not.
I'll save you the trouble. It's fricking garbage. Story, protagonist, NPCs, enemy design, world design, gunplay, powers, music etc etc. Everything is pure trash.
