Blizzard will get dropped or dissolved by Activision before the end of the decade.

This, they're going to be gutted soon. Higher ups can already see the writing on the wall, hence the mass exodus.

The problem is, because of all of their moronic nonsense, the entire Blizzard brand is completely fricked.

No one believes diablo is going to be even remotely good after the bullshit that was Diablo Immoral and Blizzards reaction towards it, along with the fact how hastily they shat out a demo for Diablo 4.

Starcraft 2 was abysmal in terms of story which pissed off the actual fans of it. Then with the terrible decisions that ruined the balance of the game, along with the dumb ass shit that was making a MOBA game out of the base game to appeal to morons who like that trash. Then, add the fact they made it where you dont even own the rights to the mods you make for the game.

WoW has been taking a nose dive in terms of quality since BC was released and it only spiraled faster with each expansion, until we are where we are today with it.

HoTS was shit, because MOBAs are shit.

Overwatch would've been fine if they just shut their god damn mouths and stopped trying to appeal to twitterhomosexuals and hamplanets. It would've just been a sub-par tf2 clone. But no, they began banning people for wanting to treat the game like an online shooter and make fun of each other.

Then Warcraft Refunded happened. And all of the shit that happened. No one liked it and they even tore the throat out of the original meaning you couldn't even play the game on the original servers. Just that you had to play on the updated servers with the murderfricked coding of the remake.

Then between all of this, they banned a dude for daring to support hong kong's independence and robbed him of his winnings. Which just pissed off everyone who wasn't still a fanboi homosexual who still defend these c**ts.

And while diablo 2 remake looks like it might be fine, they've done the exact same moronic bullshit they did with Warcrafts remake and shit the bed with the servers and the coding. I loved Diablo 2 and still replay it from time to time, but I refuse to give them anymore money for any reason.

The studio is worthless, the IP is what holds the value. If they're going the route you said they would just fire blizzard, sell off the assets, and either sell the IP for a metric frickload of money or have one of their dime-a-dozen developers start churning out garbage with WoW and Starcraft characters

Yes, hence what I said about how activision would replace every employee before retiring the Blizzard brand.

IP means intellectual property, meaning the actual games (WoW, Diablo etc) not Blizzard. Blizzard has no good will left with their players, and the people they've been spending PR money on recently don't play their games.
If anything Blizzard is driving the value of the brands down.

Blizzard is an intellectual property too you fricking moron.
              >Blizzard has no good will left with their players
Yet their games and brand still print money. Sounds like something Activision would want to preserve at great cost.

overwatch 2 will be make or break for blizzard. if they don't sell another 45 million copies like the first game, bobby kotick will squeeze them just like he squeezed treyarch/infinity ward/toys for bob. they will have zero creative autonomy, every game they make will have to be approved by activision shareholders.

When a literal Diablo 3 EDITOR becomes senior WARCRAFT NARRATIVE DESIGNER you might want to ask yourself a few questions why a woman that is a stripper and a pajeeta suddenly got a position of leading the Warcraft storyline without having any history in the IP, nor even having a background in writing fantasy.
she was also besties with that madeleine roux b***h.

Activision isn't necessarily going to kill Blizzard. They're going to keep reducing Blizzard's autonomy until they're nothing more than just another studio under Activision's belt. This has been an ongoing process for a long time, mind you, but the recent shit is going to accelerate things further. The leadership changes were also a major step in this direction. I think Activision will just gut whatever elements aren't willing to comply with Activision at any or all levels and will replace them with employees that are either more loyal or at least braindead enough to go along with orders from above.
Whatever Activision does at that point, though, is not entirely certain, but I guess either they keep Blizzard the way they are now in general which is mostly maintenance mode on most games, restructure Blizzard to be more conducive with pumping out games and updates, or just make them a support studio for other Activision games. I would imagine Activision has some long term plan for Blizzard, because otherwise they would not go through this effort to replace the upper echelons with yesmen and keep the studio intact this long in general.

I suggest you play World of Warcraft. You should join the subreddit. We will be planning a revival of the game on the 1st of October, so the developers can see that this game is still alive and fun. We welcome the new changes that removed sexims Blizzard made recently. Bigotry has no place here, we are a diverse bunch and can agree to disagree, and be a positive influence for younger gamers in the world so that they can discover their sexuality. Blizzard is a great company, we should be proud of this game. And the game is very fun, you can kill mobs and buy loot from shops. It doesn't need updates every year. The game is fun as it is. The community is very friendly and will be there for you for support. I have a lot of fun killing mobs and playing the game, I suggest you do the same. Let's make new memes! We will be doing a meet up, and meeting up with the community to go to BlizzCon in Anaheim on the 21st of October. This is a wonderful time of year to be alive! So please play the game.
