I don't really agree for a few reasons, but I don't have a problem with people who want to do it either. Realistically though, it would probably require laws regarding marriage to be rewritten, especially in regards to how taxes are done, so it's not gonna happen at least until society collapses again because nobody who writes laws likes to write new laws, just add a few shitty amendments to make existing laws worse when their lobbyists pay them to do it. And whenever civilization does dip itself into the toilet bowl again, people probably won't be too happy with a few men having more wives than them, like the issue where young men are left without women because older men keep taking them, but way worse because those same men keep going back and taking more. If there was ever a scenario where a greater ratio of women were being born than men, like at least 2 women for every 1 man, then I could see it. As that ratio of women becomes higher, such as 4 or 5 women to 1 man, it would become increasingly more likely to happen.
As far as taxes go for the world we live in now, assuming someone wanted to legalize polygamy, having one wife would probably have to include an incentive while having more than one would lead to higher taxes instead to discourage the practice from becoming too common and causing a drought of women.

Xenoblade has a totally different genre from the shows that tend to have these endings. I don't think Naruto ended with Naruto having a threesome with Sakura and Hinata for example.
