I think its because the amount of effort put into Hades is staggering, all the unique voicelines and dialogue adds so much flavor and replayability, that even if you dont like the core gameplay you can at least respect the amount of variety there is purely from a narrative perspective.
I appreciate a game thats built around picking it up and putting it down. Unless you're dragging ass you can clear the game in 20-30 minutes. Theres enough rng in the levels and build variety that you have plenty of opportunity to do something else.
i just played this finally, I did a few runs after the credits but stopped there. Is it worth going through the game to finish the relationships?
I'm a bit curious about persephone's plan to contact the gods, but i don't know how much i'll have to play to reach that point.
I reached the feast with Olympus on my 85th run.
There's dialogue about it with every god when you meet them during the game later.
It's not that hard, you can invite every god in just 2 runs.
That's hilarious.
I always tried giving at least 1 nectar per run in the early game.
Then 2 or 3 mid game.
Then to everyone I meet whenever I have stock.
Don't you find it fun to go around bribing everyone and making everyone like you?
I'm always running out of nectar even without giving any of it to the gods. it's not like i'm hoarding it.
i'm also pretty bad at the game so maybe i just don't get a lot of nectar.
You just need to get into the rhythm of it to not take damage so much.
Think about the fight, activate your brain a bit, Hades does not require god tier reflexes to beat, you just have to react to what the enemies are doing and think about what you are doing.
Also you should be figuring out the metagame by YOURSELF while you play it, try to notice patterns and see how the rng systems work so you can make them work for you.
It's ok to suck at first, at the start I just farmed darkness by playing with whichever weapon was blessed.
Just pay attention, your sluggishness is caused by the top down perspective, focus!
I've just started playing this game too since last week and I've done the same
I just gave everybody 1 nectar to see what happens and after that I've just been keeping them
Right now I'm focusing on getting all the work order renovations as I've already gotten everything I want from the mirror
and also just doing runs on heat so I can get more blood to unlock weapon aspects and improve them
I've been wondering if there's any point in doing the nectar thing that affects gameplay but I'm too lazy to check right now
Young, sheltered, lacks experience, lacks drive.
Achilles got him into shape and he's already dangerous, imagine if he had a lot of experience.
Remember, most Zagreus aspects are about speed/dodge/critical, he's a dex character, but he doesn't hit like one.
If he learned to really be the god of blood or whatever, and harness the potential of manipulating it, he could be deadly, you can see all the shit he does with it when others bless his cast.
>roguelite
not a term, anon
It's called RNG Progression game
Please use the correct terms.
GAY SEX WITH THANATOS

>Dusa best girl
But it's just a head
because Supergiant finally made a game that has gameplay to match their presentation
I can no longer stand games like this. Replay the same shit over and over again

>Hades was released 3 years ago
I remember seeing trailers & demos for this game and then forgetting about it.
What the frick happened?
It was a timed epic exclusive.
It got some decent traction on the board once it hit all platforms.
You should play it - it's good.
Darkness is actually Nyx's titty milk by the way
Risk of Rain Returns came out just a few weeks ago
It's the story and gameplay loop that separates it from the rest.
Why is every god a Black person
>WE
>sequel is about Zagreus' sister
>it's greek mythology we're talking about, choke full of incest
How spicy it's going to be?
Do you think Super Giant has the guts to make it incestious spicy?
>Zagreus randomly shows up as a superboss using top tier builds from the first game
>fricks up all enemies
>fricks his sister
>leaves

i need to befriend them first, i only gave 1 nectar to most of them
That's hilarious.

if you're still having fun you might as well keep going
there's still plenty of story left after the credits
I liked Artemis
Why is Zagreus so weak if he's a God?

Unfortunately I used god mode
I didn’t beat the game.
This is the only game on Steam where I completed all the achievements like an autist.
