Just finished the damn thing, and I couldn’t have hated the lengths they went through to "protect" people from being spoiled by the first game any more. Choosing to being exposed to what happened in the first is almost meaningless, much character progression from the returning characters was halted to a crawl
It was a really bizarre choice and directly made characters that saw growth before like Date, Iris, and Aiba have to be neutered. Really hope AI3 doesn't so the same since it'd be near impossible not to with Bibi's existence and simulation stuff.
Iris made the true end route much worse by being forced into the daughter slot over Mizuki and trying to get Date back with Hitomi/act like her uncle despite being a new person.
Probably my single biggest complaint about AI1 is that they made the true route the branch where you fail to help Mizuki and barely talk to her, while making her own ending on the left side by far the one with the most emotional weight.
I hated this too. You have to be an idiot to start a series on a sequel and get mad over getting spoiled, so anything that tries to cater to gays like that is annoying just by the principle, but AAI2 suffered immensely because of it. Date wearing a mask? Seriously? I'm surprised they even let him lay on Hitomi's lap like that.
So when these people hear mizuki and bibi say "awww you and tama are like a married couple" do they just memory hole that shit? Intepret him as bisexual by all means, but straight up homosexual is such a stretch
Some people are concerned with validating their headcanons only, especially those wanting more queer representation, more information that may disrupt the headcanon must be ignored.
>Amame's water footprints end at the west door >no footprints showing when she turned around to see Tearer >no footprints showing when she went back to the east side of the studio
according to Uchikoshi and Okada in the art book interview, they want to do a sequel. Uchi says he wants to because he likes the characters and Okada says he wants to expand the world of the game.
He even mentioned how in the original concept, it was going to take place in America and Tokyo (probably why Tokiko mentions the New York main Naix branch) but it was changed to just Tokyo at the end.
The first one was put on sale with the steam summer sale, woudln't think there'd be enough time for any meaningful number of people to have bought it, played it (over whatever else they bought on sale), finish it completely and be so enthralled with it that they gotta buy the 2nd one right away. my guess is its probably just people that pirated the first one and enjoyed it.
The only hard QTE is when you have to click both sticks without accidentally tilting either stick. The amount of time they give you for the rest is more than enough.
I did frick up on one of the stadium QTE-strings a couple of times and had to sit through a minute of fast-forwarding each time which is annoying.
you're gonna have to homosexual. they literally put a skip button in don't complain. I'm playing VLR and I have to sit through every route's hallway scenes and the slight alterations of dialogue. you can suffer through one more FF playthrough of AI.

999 got the skip function perfectly. hold down a button and it just skips til there's something new. VLR sucks because it's a toggle and it may stop for one line of dialogue that's different on a particular route even if everything after it is the same, so you constantly have to toggle it on to see if you're out of the new stuff yet because a lot of it is so similar with minor differences being the colors on the bracelets and what not.

Oh my god. They talked about in the first game how Aiba modeled herself in a way to suit Date's tastes, implying that he's at least somewhat attracted to Boss.
i finished the game but still don’t get what on earth date was referring to when he said he and ryuki have a “physical” relationship. what did he mean by this? am i missing something?
The context of the scene is Ryuki is being awkward because he's not sure if Date saw him escape from the warehouse after shooting Bibi the day before.and Date is being awkward because he suspects Ryuki was the guy who legged it through the window when he entered.
In JP the joke is wordplay on 舌/下(shita). Date says he wants to "touch on Ryuki's tongue" and Mizuki thinks he's saying he wants to "touch Ryuki down below" and when he clears it up she says it still sounds bad. In actuality he was just waiting for Ryuki to talk about what happened the night before.
So in JP it's a joke that comes off gay with a plot reason and in EN it's a joke that comes off gay without a plot reason. Honestly they should have made it something like "get to the bottom of" which is suggestive enough and fits the context way better.
100% chance there will be some form of hangout/date segment, either just with the scythe girl from the trailer or with whoever else makes up the cast outside of the shota, her, and the stupid looking ghost. The mystery labyrinth fantasy concept makes me think it won't be too focused on murder mystery too.

I thought that it was a TV show from the very first boot up when the studio logos are on TV screens like in DRV3. Someone linked me this post on plebbit, but is interesting
>Regarding Marco/Maruko, I believe the character is actually female like the rest of the AI-Balls. In the Chinese version, she is explicitly referred to as "她" which is a female pronoun meaning "her." Her Japanese name also includes the -ko suffix which is usually added for feminine names. In Chinese, her name is 丸子 which is the same as the Maruko from Chibi Maruko-chan - a female character. In Japanese, it's written in Hiragana instead of Kanji - マルコ (Maruko). The name is basically another pun on round objects as it basically means "ball" or "round."
>In Japanese, it's written in Hiragana instead of Kanji - マルコ (Maruko) >can't even tell apart hiragana and katakana
the chinese version saying it's a her is likely true but there's concept art of them writing it as "Marco", it might be a case of miscommunication
If we compare ZTD and DR3 as both writers' series low points, DR3 loses pretty hard since it was only fun to watch as it was airing and its main meme legacy is JUZOBOYS. ZTD is hilarious throughout and has a ton of funny shit.
>ZTD is hilarious throughout and has a ton of funny shit.
Not really. DR3 gave me more laughs that anything that year, ZTD was just immensely disappointing.
No but he gets lazier and this one is literally just a character looking dead into the camera and telling you the order you've been playing the game is wrong then it shows the literal timeline on the screen and switches it around
Ok so while I do understand the twist, I'm still a bit hazy on the details.
When Boss threatens to demote Ryuki, it's because he shot a civilian 6 years ago. So we know that threat was made in the past, and we know the HB case doesn't get solved until the present. So how is Ryuki still an ABIS member? Even if he's off-duty due to being a barely functioning Schizo Alcoholic, he still has access to ABIS facilities like the PSYNC machine. Does this ever get explained?
This might be head canon but with the loss of Date at the time maybe they rescinded the demotion since they couldnt afford to be down that many psyncers?

AI V3: Simulation Harmony >turns out that AI V3 is AI 53 and we're watching events 500 years later and it's another Date, another Mizuki and another Ryuki in the future real world investigating the creator of the simulation
No spoilers, but is there a choice early on in the game similar to the first game, where one of them is widely considered to be the better path to go down first?
The whole game is much more linear than the first. You don't have to worry about that.
No, the major branching order is pretty rigid.
The game is more linear than the last, you only have 2 real choices when it comes to play order and they're for short endings.
Compared to the first game, this game railroads you hard for the paths it wants you to take first. You really won't have to worry about going on Iris's wild ride this time around.
Nah, the branching is a bit different in this one, and I think there's only even a single lock possible.
Compared to the first game, this game railroads you hard for the paths it wants you to take first. You really won't have to worry about going on Iris's wild ride this time around.
Yeah, I really don't get why people insist it's better to go down the left paths first, you just get different information. Doing the Iris route first just clues you in on the second psync machine and if you're not a brainlet you understand that it was used on each murder victim, but you still don't know why.
The game is way more mindfricky as you play it you dont know about the second psync machine as everyone suddenly feels like a possible schizo between routes
Is ZTD worth experiencing if I already know most of the twists beforehand? I had refused to play it for the longest because I was disgusted with how the development of it was handled and the reception to justified my concerns but I've been thinking it might be time to see it for myself.
ZTD is better if you go into it knowing the memes because you aren't expecting it to bring back Alice/Clover/Kyle, branch every timeline into one, tell us what Sigma's favorite breakfast food is, if Phi dyes her pubes, etc.. It's a fine game.
I'll always say that you should play the game yourself to experience it instead of just repeating what others say. I think it's easily the worst out of the three games but it wasn't as bad as Ganker made it out to be. Plus you still get to play it for new escape room puzzles at the very least.
So does anybody feel like arresting Amame is complete bullshit, considering the shady shit ABIS always does, not to mention the free pass Date got for all the murders he committed in his past? She did nothing wrong.
Date was a renowned cop, and a great asset to ABIS, it was worthy utilizing the system’s corruption to give him a slap on the wrist, meanwhile Amame is just a random girl whom her friends love, sure it sucks what happened to her but she really isn’t worth the effort, if so then literally nobody that the cast is good friends with would ever be in danger of going to jail if they act on justified revenge.
The police department covered up the Falco assassinations because finding out a cop was working as an assassin would destroy public trust in them. But even then technically he, or at least his body, did end up getting put in jail it just so happened to be Rohan inside.
Amame's case was public knowledge and even if most people think she was being a hero they still have to prosecute her.
If Ryuki was fired and didn't have Tama there's a 100% chance he'd have killed himself before the present. Tama would probably object to being separated from him anyway.
That sounds like bullshit, but it still makes me sad that I missed it.

Yes I too want an Iris annilates everyone sequel. After finding out they gave her a brain tumor and her friends didn't tell her the truth about her real mom and dad.
only reason you'd hire a schizo is if you need a schizo around for some reason, probably why Boss just kept him on 'leave' with Tama for so long even though he was just a useless drunk for six years
and given how schizos seem to be the only ones who can see the seams in the world, him being hired in the first place may relate to Naix/the order of %
It would've all make sense if we consider that ABIS higher-ups are the members of Naix and Wadjet is their personal object of love. Think about it. Tokiko knew exactly who the frayer is. Tama is made precisely to ~~*help*~~ him. Everyone cover up for him, because his real job is to be Frayer's host. Nothing else.
Memento helix
Tama didn't upload the investigation data of theirs from 6 years ago to protect him so I guess ABIS never saw the full extent of how bad he was. Still hard to believe he didn't frick up massively again in the 6 year gap.
>Tama acting like it's weird for Ryuki to want to check the Chikara crime scene in the scene right after he dies
The shuffled timeline really is so obvious in hindsight, feels like I'm stupid for missing some of these. Past Ota being used in Gen's somnium is another big one.
vlr spoiler.
I disregarded the whole "sigma has no voice actor/ no face in any cutscenes" thing because i though the devs where too lazy to model his face...
All this considering that they specifically hired a fricking brand new VO for Kyre at the very end and Uchi said "nah disregard that". FRICK I'M STILL MAD
The stupidest thing about them hiding his voice to avoid spoiling the twist is that it means his voice sounds old, which makes the twist EVEN MORE idiotic because it means he never noticed the voice chance. Or everything but his arms being old. Or his long grey hair hanging down. Or the robot eye.
I guess it used Remember11 logic where you don't notice anything wrong even if you mindswap with someone until someone points it out because the body is accustomed to your movement, voice etc.
One that isn't mentioned so often is when Tama and Ryuki are discussing the missing persons due to the videos. Tama says that there are more people missing than usual in the present, where people are going missing for real but a few scenes later says that no more people are missing than usual in the past, where it was just a rumor that people were going missing.
The major thing that I noticed was pretty late, when Mizuki is talking to Shoma and he mentions that his father gave him something the day before, but she doesn't react.
Yeah I personally didn't really pick up on anything majorly being wrong until Shoma as well, that's the point where I said "wait didn't he die 6 years ago, something's not right here"
But I mean that's practically right before the twist reveal
The major thing that I noticed was pretty late, when Mizuki is talking to Shoma and he mentions that his father gave him something the day before, but she doesn't react.
i legitimately thought they just fricked up and got lazy and forgot their own timeline kek
The first thing I picked up was in Ryuki's route when Mama casually drops a line about a fricking test rocket being launched when Ryuki is asking about the Nirvana Initiative.
At that point, between that and the nirvana trial video being mentioned as like just having dropped in both perspectives i thought the game was just pushing the mandela effect idea at you just because the ellis island thing fricked with me so badly
The real reason they made Date keep Saito's face is because his porno mag gag wouldn't go over as well if the guy doing it was a ragged used up middle aged guy instead of a pretty boy.
There was no reason for Date to continue his porno mag gimmick since it was a result of Saito's brain. Even if as Falco he still showed parts of his perverted side like at the end of AI1 it wouldn't be overblown out of proportion.
I think direct sequels just need to tell the player to play the first game and let spoilers run free. AI1 was seven bucks when AI2 was released and consolegays could just pirate the switch version.
Pretty sure no. Even in the middle of Amame's somnium I was half expecting for the mom to come out of nowhere and be the culprit instead because she was mad at how bad her family got fricked over.
i had to look up all the answers because it was like a year and a half since i played the first one. why couldn't they just take my word for it if i said yes? don't expect westerners to remember japanese names from 40+ hour VNs that came out years prior. I bet you 90% of the people that turned the spoilers off had to look up the answers again anyway.
the mandella effect examples they used were dumb. no one gives a shit about C3POs leg you couldn't even tell it was silver in the movie. that's like a piece of trivia not mandella effect. also your heart being on the left side is literally just you misunderstanding biology, not a timeline shift.
nah indiana jones hat was smaller pre-CERN activation we definitely switched this time around. Where I come from he had a fedora, not this cat in the hat looking shit.
Congrats anon you've discovered the the Mandela effect is dumb and not real. Surprisingly the universe does not regularly restructure itself mostly around elements of pop culture like Star Wars and children's books about cartoon bears.
>children's books about cartoon bears
I still don't get why this blew up so much, the reason why people couldn't remember "Berenstain" is very simple - it's because literally nothing else is spelled "Stain", only "Stein". After the years you remember how it's pronounced, but not how it's spelled.. That's literally it.
>Tama went against protocol and withheld info that would hurt Ryuki from ABIS >watched over him for 6 years even as he spiraled into self destruction >probably was him main advocate for not being fired
They're just so cute...
You dont know what goes on in ryukis dreams. Id like to think that line from ryuki about getting tied up in tortoise bondage from tama last night was literal
pretty lucky the killer guy had a disease that only put the tumors on one half of his body haha what a lucky disease for someone who owns a "cutting people in half at the molecular level" machine to get
Not them, but the machine didn't come after the tumors. We didn't get an exact timeline on their construction, but obviously it was used to cut out organs fit transplant. This part makes little sense, because in our world transplants involving half the face are extremely difficult.
This is the timeline >Jin is born >Jin develops tumors >Chikara looks for a genetic match while experimenting with full half body replacements but it's not medically possible >Chikara finds Uru >since his full half body research lead to nothing, they take out Uru's organs the regulars way as Jin develops tumors >Chikara discovers PERGE which lets him cure Jin

I agree but the line when you look at the second machine (in the back) indicates it was used for surgery.
I'm 90% sure they say the machine was built to solve Jin's tumor problem by giving him a new half but it wasn't feasible so they started giving him Uru's organs.
Would you want a perfect waifuball if it cost you an eye and you couldn't even touch her? She would always be with you but you can never physically interact.
With all the cybernetic enhancements like X-Ray, thermal, zoom in? Of course. My left eye has been though two surgeries due to injury so it's already fricked up.
>my end of the word catalyst super villain plan to immanentize the eschaton is nearly complete but there is one more step... >should i enlist my right hand man? the one who is the only person in this organization I trust to be my second in command and keep the ship running while I'm gone? >No, better blackmail a highschooler that dresses up as a mermaid into doing all the delicate positioning of my corpse
>thinking tokiko cares about her self
All she cares about is the plan and breaking the simulation. Which makes it even fricking stupider that she'd trust it to Amame. It gets even more moronic when they try to explain why she played along after Tokiko died when they say that the second in command was watching and if the orders weren't carried out properly he'd turn Amame in. If the guy was in on the plan and knew how it had to be done what the hell is the point of blackmailing the girl into doing it? Just get the actual trained cultist who believes in the teaching of the church to do it not an outsider
the entire point of Amame's sonmium was that there were no ifs in that world, that you had to live with your choices and it happened to a character the MCs knew and cared about and with Moksha the nil number the point was that was all a bunch of bullshit, the world is fake and you can just go back and undo it all with a cheat code
>and with Moksha the nil number the point was that was all a bunch of bullshit, the world is fake and you can just go back and undo it all with a cheat code
And similar to using cheats Ryuki's good ending felt hollow and unsatisfying.
I thought there was going to be some sort of drawback at the very end of it like Ryuki going completely insane from the foreknowledge but no, it's just Ryuki remembering old fates, Tama mostly going along with it, and the Mizukis having faint memories of the previous timeline.
I mean Ryuki was never mentally altogether, and the special ending has him knowing that literally everything is a simulation but nobody really believes him. That's probably gonna take a toll over time.
>listen to interview with chris langan >he's talking about various religions and mentions Moksha
lol I had no idea that was a real thing, I feel so stupid
Thanks, maybe I'll finally get to them soon. I heard they're chock-full of occult and conspiracy stuff like Foucault's Pendulum. I've read it few years ago and very much enjoyed it, even if it wasn't """really""" about the wacky middle age conspiracy theories and more about personal obsessions.
yeah the first illuminatus book is literally just a bunch of people undcovering illuminati conspiracies and also all the nonsense fugazi conspiracies that pop up around the illuminati to cloud things up and obfuscate things. A large chunk of the first one is a detective going through the notes of a journalist that was researching the original bavarian illuminati and tracing it through to modern times. also lots of drugs and sex and talking dolphins.
Tokiko, Delta, and Akane would have some interesting conversations. All part of the "kill a ton of people and myself to make a timeline nobody dies" club.
I think marrying Akane would suck because of her crazy powers getting in the way. Tokiko at least doesn't seem so bad if you can get her to shut up about simulations.
>I think marrying Akane would suck because of her crazy powers getting in the way.
How kind of you not to mention that she's a b***h and the worst girl
Depending on where in the ZE timeline you're marrying Akane she'd be completely incapable of a real human relationship due to how fricked up her perception of timelines are.
He probably gets in at the last moment where she can be a normal person(with some work). Anywhere after a non-true ending of ZTD be it the timeline that leads to VLR or the one where she escapes and leaves Diana/Sigma stranded she's a lost cause.

She's already fricked in ZTD. He should've let her die. Fricking Santa, I will never forgive him.
Delta is a good twist and people overexaggerate >omg le old man outside of every shot
Because they want to fit in and act like it's the worst story ever written. He's only there on Q team's scenes and is foreshadowed perfectly well with things like Q not having an image on the status screen or Mira shooting twice in the standoff.
ZTD's writing problems come from elsewhere in Q team(looking at you Mira) and the alien fax machine being just too silly in general.
Because they needed to be in the corpse so Uchi's twist could work. In canon, Jin's killing was a passion killing and not premeditated like the other ones
>Why didn't Uru gets Jins organs transplanted back into himself?
Wouldn't he have needed Chikara to perform the procedure? I don't think he would have agreed.
Those videos seem to have a few ideas that belong in the second game. There was a game delay, so I'm thinking story the story was cut in the first game.
>I love my sister and I don't want to be a burden on her! I wish that she didn't have to work all the time just to support me! >*refuses to move back in with his mom and sister and makes her foot the rent bill*
Do you think Aiba would have been more receptive to Date's dumb and perverted thoughts if any of them were directed towards her? She made a fancy new body that was quite literally crafted to his exact tastes and he calls her a flat shrimp for it.
Remember when he calls her cute in Mizuki's somnium and she doesn't know how to react? Small compliments were all he needed to defang her.
It's a neat narrative trick, but I do also think it's sort of an unsatisfying solution to the bizarre serial killings. It turns out that the mystery behind the murders... isn't really much of a mystery at all, it just looked like one because the player was being fricked with.
In that respect, I liked the New Cyclops killings a lot more than the HB ones.
I don't like the New Cyclops Killings because unlike the Half Body Killings, they have to sweep it under the rug and come up with a bullshit excuse to the public
999 had a perfect style and they ruined it. AND FOR WHAT?

my guess would be the 3ds gimmick. would defeat the purpose if they were just drawings popping out

999 was considered a flop in Japan so the dev team didn't have the funds to use more expensive sprites
VLR was considered a flop in Japan and got ZTD cancelled, when it was revived the budget was even lower so it looked like it did
Guess they gave him more money for AI1 cause they realized the western market was lucrative too.

So who told Uchi that westerns like animu in 3d?
Anonymous
At this point it's just cheaper and easier to do anime in 3d. They're close enough that it looks passingly like 2D and when it doesn't look like 2D they just don't give a frick cause it's anime. Just look at the new dragon ball movie lol. It looks like a feature length cutscene from kakarot.
the 3D models are so fricking bad for VLR. ZTD is also ugly as frick but it scales a lot better than the 3DS models from VLR. Looks ridiculous on modern consoles/PC. The scene with K laying down in the lounge looks hilarious.
I dunno about twins, but I think Phi being Sigma's daughter was decided even then. Uchikoshi was pretty clear that Phi and Sigma would NEVER get together, and so considering they are father and daughter by the end, sounds like that at least was planned out.
So I suppose Uchi is simply into incest, considering what he did with Date and Iris in AI1.

I mean by the end of the game, there's clearly nothing going on between them. Mama (I think) asks Iris if she's still into Date, and she says not at all. And I don't think Date ever was interested in Iris that way, partially since he's into older women.

Did you forget he got excited when he thought Iris was about to kiss him?
they probably had to do that in the first place in order to get the people to go to ABIS (police station) and get them drugged
999 was considered a flop in Japan so the dev team didn't have the funds to use more expensive sprites

Spike Chunsoft actually jumped onto the PC bandwagon early (by japanese standards) and even ported rubbish that no one cared about like Conception II
I do agree that Saito's appearance is more memorable than Falco's, but I still liked the swap at the end and I'm disappointed they hid it completely just to avoid spoilers.
You know, I bet if the first one had done better, they wouldn't have bothered with that whole song and dance. I expect they are hoping a new group of players play this one then go back to the first one.
i don't believe it's just to avoid spoilers, that's just an excuse that makes sense. if they want to franchise this series and build its characters up it makes sense to keep original date that you play as for 99% of the first game.
but i don't think they want falco date to be date at all. it's like an episode of a cartoon or something where everything gets resolved at the end of the day and they're back to square one for the next episode. I honestly never expected him to be falco at all because when I think Date I think of the So version.
Yeah the more likely reason is that people just prefer his original face/voice. I never really felt like true end Date's appearance fit with his personality after 6 years in Saito's body.
I kinda felt robbed of Falco!Date, Iris, and Hitomi doing cute family things. Even the lap pillow scene right before the ending leaves a bad taste in my mouth due to how he still has the mask on.
To say nothing of how AI2 retroactively puts Date's happy ending from the first game on hold for ANOTHER six years.
Delta knew about the terrorist because of his mind hack powers, implying that he has read the mind of several shitters who travelled from the world's end back to an unknown point in their past lives. AI3 will be the game that shows the terrorist in action and it will be set in New York, same place where Elgorg (Wadjet System creator company) is located and it will explain the quantum computer from Dcom too
I forget, does Date actually remember his time as Falco by the end of AI1? Not just knowing it happened and being told about it from a 3rd part, but as a natural memory the way he remembers working for ABIS.
Won't forgive AI2 for throwing out the obvious Date/Aiba teasing and putting him right back with Hitomi, with almost no good AIba/Date interaction all game.
Possibly because his memories involve A:him being a serial hitman, B:him shooting his girlfriend by accident and C:his body really being the body of the one responsible for everything
I love Bibi so much.
Just finished the damn thing, and I couldn’t have hated the lengths they went through to "protect" people from being spoiled by the first game any more. Choosing to being exposed to what happened in the first is almost meaningless, much character progression from the returning characters was halted to a crawl
This. Really hope they don't do this shit again in AI3
SOURCE
It was a really bizarre choice and directly made characters that saw growth before like Date, Iris, and Aiba have to be neutered. Really hope AI3 doesn't so the same since it'd be near impossible not to with Bibi's existence and simulation stuff.
>directly made characters that saw growth before like Date, Iris, and Aiba
>iris
This is a good thing. The less iris the better
How can you not like Iris? She was the first game and it was a damn good game.
She was the worst thing about the first game.
The best parts about Iris in AI1 were the times someone else was driving around her body and the brain tumor reveal for the real one.
>Iris made the true end route much worse by being forced into the daughter slot
She was in that slot years before the game even begins.
Mizuki was a c**t in the first game every time you tried to talk to her.
In a funny way that develops her relationship and banter with Date well.
Well it annoyed me and I focused on my Iris love interest. But I see for those that didn't like Iris then the Mizuki ending is all you got. Sad.
>AAI2
Ace Attorney Investigations 2?

More cute blobs for me then
AIBUH
Love this lil hampster like you wouldn't believe.
Why the frick did I even search AI on Twitter?
Now my feed kept giving me shit like this.
its the target audience what did you expect
You can search but don't like anything
>he doesn't have Twitter on chronological mode
It's become much more bearable since I've done it 3 years ago.
>Amame's water footprints end at the west door
>no footprints showing when she turned around to see Tearer
>no footprints showing when she went back to the east side of the studio
another tearer did it
according to Uchikoshi and Okada in the art book interview, they want to do a sequel. Uchi says he wants to because he likes the characters and Okada says he wants to expand the world of the game.
He even mentioned how in the original concept, it was going to take place in America and Tokyo (probably why Tokiko mentions the New York main Naix branch) but it was changed to just Tokyo at the end.
is that why they reused so many locations in AI2? cuz they had completely different ones in America in mind when making the story?
aiba is flat
Tama is not.
therefore, tama is better than aiba
it's simple math
do not frick the ai balls
Coward.
There should be a non canon scene between saito, uru, iris, and so having dinner together.
do you think this game is selling well because of the first game being on gamepass/seven dollars on steam?
no
The first one was put on sale with the steam summer sale, woudln't think there'd be enough time for any meaningful number of people to have bought it, played it (over whatever else they bought on sale), finish it completely and be so enthralled with it that they gotta buy the 2nd one right away. my guess is its probably just people that pirated the first one and enjoyed it.
I love all of them so much.
gorls
Why is fridge from Hitomi's house there?
Damn, I think my reflexes have completely deteriorated in my thirties, I had to retry more QTE sequences more so than any Somnium.
The only hard QTE is when you have to click both sticks without accidentally tilting either stick. The amount of time they give you for the rest is more than enough.
I did frick up on one of the stadium QTE-strings a couple of times and had to sit through a minute of fast-forwarding each time which is annoying.
That sounds like way more effort than any of the PC QTEs. I only failed one and that's because I accidentally tabbed out at a bad time.
on controller, the "move cursor over the three bad guys and press button" at the harbor on the Komeji split is absurdly difficult
I had a PS4 controller but the game was displaying XBOX inputs so I fricked up pretty often lol
What was the point of twist anyway? It was entirely meta, unrelated to the actual plot, and also stupid (but that one is all of the hack's twists).
For fun.
it was related to the actual plot. did you even put in the nil number?
I have just finished the game and damn Ryuki alt route is chilling
Arguing that the real ending is the one that retcons the other 99% of the game isn't much better.
Nor do they need timeline bullshit for "get code at end of game, put it in at start of game to unlock cutscene".
post iris lewds
huh
Can somebody upload a 100% gallery save file? I don't want to replay the game again on pc just to get higher res pictures.
you're gonna have to homosexual. they literally put a skip button in don't complain. I'm playing VLR and I have to sit through every route's hallway scenes and the slight alterations of dialogue. you can suffer through one more FF playthrough of AI.
literally just skip
there's a setting that let's you skip unseen dialogue and you can change it from a fast forward to a full skip
Sell me on these games
No. I don't care if you play them or not.
Please?
Pirate it and play it, you moron.
Just the first game though, this one sucks ass.

AI The Somnium Files reboot
Lgbt love!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN
Aiba is cuter than Tama
>Aiba and Tama are twin children of Boss and Date born in a distant, parallel world, reborn as AI
There you have it AI3
UCHIKOSHIIIIIIII
Cursed bloodline Date or F-Date?
They're never going to let Saito Date go, everyone loves him too much.
>twin grandchildren of So
God save us all
Neither, L-Date (Delta)
>L-Date (Delta)
This is so stupid Uchikoshi would've fricking love it.
The L stands for Left btw. Now, if we only knew who Right was
If Amame was real I would become her paypig.
Even if she fricks her little brother?
Well she wouldn't tell me about it if she was
She would probably tease you about it
That's kind of hot
She takes her brother's tiny, immature dick every night while yours will never even get close to her
I would love it if she teased and humiliated me like that while taking my money
She canonically works the night shift pleasing old Sea Kings for money.
>pleasing
She doesn't even touch them. She only looks while they please themselves
Hot
She would look at you like utter garbage but her voice would be fake nice. She wouldn't be able to hide to disgust in her eyes while she tells you to hurry up.
The money I would spend for this service would have kept Andes Komeji alive.
Nah, you'd have to pay much more than just that to keep her dad afloat. Especially since you pay only half because of the early finisher discount.
I wonder what else she charges for
Imaginary sex where you close your eyes and she gives you an indirect handjob with an onahole
That one food she kisses the customer after they both finish eating each side. Speaking of which I feel as though I need to go to a maid Cafe.
remember when her game 1 profile was a bunch of onomatopoeia
No, not at all actually.
>Likes: ratatat, bang bang
It actually looks like cut content they put in the sequel, hiding her likes here.
I wonder if Komeji is the type of Sea King to just order a coffee when he visits there to see her.
that was the biggest one I noticed and probably the only one until the warehouse, because of how they made a point of Ota not cutting his hair
>Amame hates Left
Was Amame Left's killer? Did she use her influence at ABIS to get them to cover up the murder?
her motives are complex
How deep does this rabbit hole go?
spoiled lines:
>when Delta was 16, his "brother" (Left) died
>when Ryuki was in high school, his younger brother died
Additionally, Ryuki was 16 in 2011 or 2012 and 2011 is the year in which snail fricked the world.
I honestly think it would be kinda hilarious of that was how they tied 999 and AI together.
>Left (Side)
RIGHT SIDE
>Amame supports the Liberal Democratic Party
Bros...
it'd be funny to hit up Uchikoshi with this but he might take it too seriously
It's le prosopagnosia man's fault
meant for
>a fricking snail
HA O MUKIDASHITE
PA PA PA
TEREKUSAI NE
why are the women in this game so fricking attractive
Because they didn't use the shit tier artist from ZTD.
Oh my god. They talked about in the first game how Aiba modeled herself in a way to suit Date's tastes, implying that he's at least somewhat attracted to Boss.
I guess Ryuki is really gay for Date.
Fujo go back to your containment sites.
i finished the game but still don’t get what on earth date was referring to when he said he and ryuki have a “physical” relationship. what did he mean by this? am i missing something?
They're JO bros
This line made me think Ryuki was a clone of Date
i thought it was gonna be something like that too. so it was never explained?
Do you even MINDHACC? Morphogenetic field, b***h.
Honestly they should have made it something like "get to the bottom of" which is suggestive enough and fits the context way better.
thank you. i figured it had something to do with awkward localization.
do you guys think that Enigma Archives: Rain Code will be like AI but more focused on solving murders?
Kodaka is the worse writer of the two so probably not
Duality of man
it might be like Danganronpa without trials and daily life segments with some replacement for the trials. It seems like it's fully 3D too
D E S P A I R M E M E B R A I N W A S H I N G V I D E O
100% chance there will be some form of hangout/date segment, either just with the scythe girl from the trailer or with whoever else makes up the cast outside of the shota, her, and the stupid looking ghost. The mystery labyrinth fantasy concept makes me think it won't be too focused on murder mystery too.
It's written by Kohacca, but he still writes better than Uchi.
t. hasn't watched DR3
DR3 was kino, better than thousand ARGs. The memes are still legendary.
>not only was DR3 a bad continuation of DR2, it also retroactively made DR2's ending worse
>Chiaki's entire character from DR2 ruined
>Ultimate Despairs also retconned and ruined
>KILLING GAME WHERE ANYONE CAN DIE, EVEN THE DR1 CAST
>no one in DR1's cast dies, only the new characters
>Chiaki's entire character from DR2 ruined
>KILLING GAME WHERE ANYONE CAN DIE, EVEN THE DR1 CAST
>no one in DR1's cast dies, only the new characters
these were the worst parts of DR3. I just ignore it. Even V3 barely mentions it, only showing one single logo
Well V3 doesn't have to mention it since they're just FICTION
>watching DR3 for plot
Highway to despair, my man
's entire character from DR2 ruined
literally how?
"she wasn't a member of Hope's Peak
"she was a program meant to watch us"
"she isn't real"
"she got close to us and became a real friend even though she was a program"
ACTUALLY SHE WAS A MEMBER OF HOPES PEAK, SHE WAS PART OF OUR CLASS AND SHE WAS REAL AND WAS OUR FRIEND THE WHOLE TIME
But AI Chiaki wasn't a member of Hope's Peak, was a program, and isn't real. Real Chiaki had a completely different personality. They could be 2 different characters and nothing would change
>here's a list of ALL the students in our class
>except Chiaki for some reason even though it was a list of EVERYONE in that class
"CHIAKI CAME TO THE GAME WORLD CUZ YOU ALL WANTED TO SEE HER AGAIN MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE"
Awful.
>"CHIAKI CAME TO THE GAME WORLD CUZ YOU ALL WANTED TO SEE HER AGAIN MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE"
o-oh except for the student ledger that listed every student of course, that didn't include her for some reason and was the entire driving force behind the fifth chapter
>o-oh except for the student ledger that listed every student of course, that didn't include her for some reason and was the entire driving force behind the fifth chapter
the frick are you talking about
the thing Nagito was awarded by Monokuma that proved that Chiaki wasn't real and no one at Chiaki went to Hopes Peak that caused him to try to get her to escape.
>the thing Nagito was awarded by Monokuma that proved that Chiaki wasn't real and no one at Chiaki went to Hopes Peak that caused him to try to get her to escape.
Anon, you may need to replay DR2 because you have no fricking clue what happened there. What the do you think the twist in the chapter 5 trial was about?
who here thought that the Nirvana videos were going to be a DR3 ripoff please raise their hands
I thought that it was a TV show from the very first boot up when the studio logos are on TV screens like in DRV3. Then the cop whos name everyone forgets (which ironically I'm now blanking on too, kogami?) says something like "arent the fans at home going to get tired of this gag soon?". Then there's the whole VR camera/filming thing.
But nope. Timelines were just crisscrossed. 🙂
no, anon, I don't mean V3, I meant the anime, the ones with the fricking mind hack video
i know what you meant, I was just saying that I thought it was gonna rip off the v3 twist from the very start
I'll admit I did think something was suspicious with the way they made you turn on spoilers from the first game
>In Japanese, it's written in Hiragana instead of Kanji - マルコ (Maruko)
>can't even tell apart hiragana and katakana
the chinese version saying it's a her is likely true but there's concept art of them writing it as "Marco", it might be a case of miscommunication
DR3 is worse than anything Kodaka made. Anyone who wrote that can't be considered even a competant writer
>kodaka is worse than anything kodaka made
that rain code game is just gonna be a stealth DR spinoff and at the end the ebin meme twist will be junko again
>morons arguing over fictional fiction
Nothing in DR matters spergs who cares
AI is also fiction though
Simulation theory being real is more akin to the DR2 twist than the V3 one

Delta's motives do make sense though. Him just saying they're "complex" instead of explaining is what's stupid.
that is still the worst part of Danganronpa's story. the stupid tragedy bullshit
A single solitary Junko... life is simply despair, don't you think?
troony game. Nuke japan
Does Uchikoshi reuse the same twists? If he doesn't I might actually pick up the game.
Yes but you will still fall for some even if you know what they are.
No but he gets lazier and this one is literally just a character looking dead into the camera and telling you the order you've been playing the game is wrong then it shows the literal timeline on the screen and switches it around
The only good part of DR3 Chiaki was her execution
dumb flat aiba forgot to press record
what would Date's film dynamic with Marco be like
Nonexistent. Marco just stares at him intently and Date has no idea whether he's even recording or not.
Marco trying to remain professional and getting an accurate re-enactment while Date ad-libs the frick out of it.
Hell in general I'd imagine their interactions to be "shy and serious brand-new AI gets corrupted through being exposed to Date"
>jumpscare someone so hard they have a seizure and start autistically shrieking
If only we could see it from her side

Ok so while I do understand the twist, I'm still a bit hazy on the details.
When Boss threatens to demote Ryuki, it's because he shot a civilian 6 years ago. So we know that threat was made in the past, and we know the HB case doesn't get solved until the present. So how is Ryuki still an ABIS member? Even if he's off-duty due to being a barely functioning Schizo Alcoholic, he still has access to ABIS facilities like the PSYNC machine. Does this ever get explained?
wasn't the civilian shooting in the present
No it was right after Chikara died which was in the past.
he does say "good thing boss and Pewter aren't here" when he psyncs with Amame so I guess he snaked in
he was probably on thin ice at that point
This might be head canon but with the loss of Date at the time maybe they rescinded the demotion since they couldnt afford to be down that many psyncers?
It is also 100% wrong
Interesting. Can't someone poke Uchi on twitter or something?
He'll start answering spoilery questions in a few days
I think there's something about him not answering spoilerish stuff yet due to the delay for consolegays
Marco's entire existence is a pretty huge spoiler

What did Saito mean by that?
AI V3: Simulation Harmony
>turns out that AI V3 is AI 53 and we're watching events 500 years later and it's another Date, another Mizuki and another Ryuki in the future real world investigating the creator of the simulation
>not AI V0
One job
No spoilers, but is there a choice early on in the game similar to the first game, where one of them is widely considered to be the better path to go down first?
No
Thank u fweinds
The whole game is much more linear than the first. You don't have to worry about that.
No, the major branching order is pretty rigid.
The game is more linear than the last, you only have 2 real choices when it comes to play order and they're for short endings.
Compared to the first game, this game railroads you hard for the paths it wants you to take first. You really won't have to worry about going on Iris's wild ride this time around.
Iris route first playthrough is the funniest way to experience AI1
Yeah, I really don't get why people insist it's better to go down the left paths first, you just get different information. Doing the Iris route first just clues you in on the second psync machine and if you're not a brainlet you understand that it was used on each murder victim, but you still don't know why.
The game is way more mindfricky as you play it you dont know about the second psync machine as everyone suddenly feels like a possible schizo between routes
Nah, the branching is a bit different in this one, and I think there's only even a single lock possible.
There's only the 1 hard lock but not knowing Dahlia Boat or Almighty are both basically locks.

Is ZTD worth experiencing if I already know most of the twists beforehand? I had refused to play it for the longest because I was disgusted with how the development of it was handled and the reception to justified my concerns but I've been thinking it might be time to see it for myself.
I played it even after knowing about a lot of the twists through memes and it was still alright.
ZTD is better if you go into it knowing the memes because you aren't expecting it to bring back Alice/Clover/Kyle, branch every timeline into one, tell us what Sigma's favorite breakfast food is, if Phi dyes her pubes, etc.. It's a fine game.
I personally didn't like the art style, but if you haven't played VLR in years I'd give it a go.
I'll always say that you should play the game yourself to experience it instead of just repeating what others say. I think it's easily the worst out of the three games but it wasn't as bad as Ganker made it out to be. Plus you still get to play it for new escape room puzzles at the very least.
So my fellow simulations. How do we noclip our world?

Wait is the nil number generated uniquely between copies? Cause that sure as frick wasnt mine
Yes.
yes
Yes
There is actually a master nill number that works in all games, but one is generated each game.
This one?
In time you will know the truth.
Shit i kinda want to look through the archives for that topic
That image is exactly how we found out that it's unique for everyone kek.
>larping
Everyone has admin priv dipshit, it came free with your fricking conception.
What is the Nil number?
So does anybody feel like arresting Amame is complete bullshit, considering the shady shit ABIS always does, not to mention the free pass Date got for all the murders he committed in his past? She did nothing wrong.
>wasting your blackmail capital on saving a dumb b***h from jail time
Date was a renowned cop, and a great asset to ABIS, it was worthy utilizing the system’s corruption to give him a slap on the wrist, meanwhile Amame is just a random girl whom her friends love, sure it sucks what happened to her but she really isn’t worth the effort, if so then literally nobody that the cast is good friends with would ever be in danger of going to jail if they act on justified revenge.
counterpoint: Boss really wants to frick Date/Falco, whereas she does not want to frick Amame
whether you agree with her or not, that's how it works
The police department covered up the Falco assassinations because finding out a cop was working as an assassin would destroy public trust in them. But even then technically he, or at least his body, did end up getting put in jail it just so happened to be Rohan inside.
Amame's case was public knowledge and even if most people think she was being a hero they still have to prosecute her.
More importantly, why the FRICK is Ryuki still not fired and has his AI-ballfu?
The rest of ABIS think his schizo antics are hilarious so just leave him there. Like a pet.
If Ryuki was fired and didn't have Tama there's a 100% chance he'd have killed himself before the present. Tama would probably object to being separated from him anyway.
>there's a 100% chance he'd have killed himself before the present
And?
And you got me. I don't care about any of these characters. All meat for the grinder.
Amame had to lie about her age to work, surely the financial circumstances would affect her mother
whoops
Why did they both look so hot in this scene?
Check the nudes
I was sad when I couldn't x-ray Iris.
you can x-ray Amame and turn the camera to Iris
That sounds like bullshit, but it still makes me sad that I missed it.
because Iris x Amame is the ultimate end ship, even with Iris clearly setting up that to call Amame just at the right time to prevent her from seeing her dad and ultimately causing his death
nothing's more important then A-Set! You Bet! Stopped you from seeing your dad and know you're filled with regret! (Also known as Tesa)
Yes I too want an Iris annilates everyone sequel. After finding out they gave her a brain tumor and her friends didn't tell her the truth about her real mom and dad.
I wish I was the chair
Ryuki, stop!
only reason you'd hire a schizo is if you need a schizo around for some reason, probably why Boss just kept him on 'leave' with Tama for so long even though he was just a useless drunk for six years
and given how schizos seem to be the only ones who can see the seams in the world, him being hired in the first place may relate to Naix/the order of %
It would've all make sense if we consider that ABIS higher-ups are the members of Naix and Wadjet is their personal object of love. Think about it. Tokiko knew exactly who the frayer is. Tama is made precisely to ~~*help*~~ him. Everyone cover up for him, because his real job is to be Frayer's host. Nothing else.
Memento helix
We never should have cured that tumor
Fray to free the soul of Y
aiba with glasses makes me feel things
I thought the reason was that Pshyncers are really hard to come by. You have to be compatible with AI balls enough to operate in somnias.
Tama didn't upload the investigation data of theirs from 6 years ago to protect him so I guess ABIS never saw the full extent of how bad he was. Still hard to believe he didn't frick up massively again in the 6 year gap.
I want more Adorabbit lore
Mizuki refusing to throw it away and hugging it instead in Date's somnium was the cutest thing ever
They gave you some saying that Shomos doll was I think the rabbits manager in the restaurant they both worked.
the english voice director of AI and Mizuki's VA still gets comments and emails about how they think past Mizuki was voiced by an actual kid.
Mizuki in the first game is probably one of the most realistic depictions of a 12 year old I've ever seen, minus the super stregth.
If it was that realistic Date would be in her bed every night.
Date likes milfs only
Yeah, well he certainly wanted in Iris' pants.
>Has seen most of his friends' buttholes
I think date just likes sex in general
>Tama acting like it's weird for Ryuki to want to check the Chikara crime scene in the scene right after he dies
The shuffled timeline really is so obvious in hindsight, feels like I'm stupid for missing some of these. Past Ota being used in Gen's somnium is another big one.
>Past Ota being used in Gen's somnium is another big one.
I thought it was just the game being shitty
vlr spoiler.
Well one thing we learned from covid is humans touch their faces like 5 times a minute, so he had to realize his face is wrong.
Its not to hide but its a visual novel trope where most mc are silent for self insert
junpei wasn't silent tho.
I guess it used Remember11 logic where you don't notice anything wrong even if you mindswap with someone until someone points it out because the body is accustomed to your movement, voice etc.
>Past Ota being used in Gen's somnium is another big one.
God damn I never even picked up on that.
Yeah I personally didn't really pick up on anything majorly being wrong until Shoma as well, that's the point where I said "wait didn't he die 6 years ago, something's not right here"
But I mean that's practically right before the twist reveal
i legitimately thought they just fricked up and got lazy and forgot their own timeline kek
That was my problem too. I'm so used to Uchi's plotholes that I pay >bugs zero attention. The only thing I caught was "you're so alike" from Date.
I remember first time when I saw some screenshots or footages of AI1 my first thought about Date was "is that girl is a protag?"
TRAPPED/10
You may be moronic
There was no reason for Date to continue his porno mag gimmick since it was a result of Saito's brain. Even if as Falco he still showed parts of his perverted side like at the end of AI1 it wouldn't be overblown out of proportion.
I think direct sequels just need to tell the player to play the first game and let spoilers run free. AI1 was seven bucks when AI2 was released and consolegays could just pirate the switch version.
>The real reason they made Date keep Saito's face is because
If they used the original it would spoil the first game
Frick lategays. If you play the sequel to a mystery VN three years later without having played the original game first, you deserve to get spoiled.
I would like Komeji more if he didn't have that dot perfectly in the center of his head.
Can you use carbon nanotubes to cut some one at the molecular level?
Shoma and Amame's mom must be having a rough time after all this.
I'm just shocked she never came up in all of this, given how relevant the rest of the family was in this case. Do we even know what she looks like?
Pretty sure no. Even in the middle of Amame's somnium I was half expecting for the mom to come out of nowhere and be the culprit instead because she was mad at how bad her family got fricked over.
Why? After the time change the only thing different is she has a long lived son.
Any good lets players or whatever? I don't have friends to watch react to this game sadly
SPITROASTING BIBI AND MEZOOKI
Yes I also had to look up how to spell Mizuki when it asked me if I played the first game.
i had to look up all the answers because it was like a year and a half since i played the first one. why couldn't they just take my word for it if i said yes? don't expect westerners to remember japanese names from 40+ hour VNs that came out years prior. I bet you 90% of the people that turned the spoilers off had to look up the answers again anyway.
sorry about your brain damage
Iris Thighs Crushing My Head Like A Watermelon, Please.
the mandella effect examples they used were dumb. no one gives a shit about C3POs leg you couldn't even tell it was silver in the movie. that's like a piece of trivia not mandella effect. also your heart being on the left side is literally just you misunderstanding biology, not a timeline shift.
The entirety of the mandela effect is dumb, there are no smart examples
nah indiana jones hat was smaller pre-CERN activation we definitely switched this time around. Where I come from he had a fedora, not this cat in the hat looking shit.
What the frick
But anon, the mandella effect IS dumb. Ellis Island btw
>Tama went against protocol and withheld info that would hurt Ryuki from ABIS
>watched over him for 6 years even as he spiraled into self destruction
>probably was him main advocate for not being fired
They're just so cute...
No girl has ever earned the dick this hard and he can't even give it to her. Tragic.
You dont know what goes on in ryukis dreams. Id like to think that line from ryuki about getting tied up in tortoise bondage from tama last night was literal
I mean I'm pretty sure that was meant to be literal.
I would tell her to sit on my face for the entire dream
pretty lucky the killer guy had a disease that only put the tumors on one half of his body haha what a lucky disease for someone who owns a "cutting people in half at the molecular level" machine to get
speedreader
Are you moronic?
The machine came after the tumors and also it's not his machine it's Chikara's.
Not them, but the machine didn't come after the tumors. We didn't get an exact timeline on their construction, but obviously it was used to cut out organs fit transplant. This part makes little sense, because in our world transplants involving half the face are extremely difficult.
The answer is yes you are moronic
They literally said they needed two machines to cut from one person and add to the other.
This is the timeline
>Jin is born
>Jin develops tumors
>Chikara looks for a genetic match while experimenting with full half body replacements but it's not medically possible
>Chikara finds Uru
>since his full half body research lead to nothing, they take out Uru's organs the regulars way as Jin develops tumors
>Chikara discovers PERGE which lets him cure Jin
I don't get why he went through all that trouble for Jin and then just didn't care when he died
in the end he really only cared about the eternal life thing, Jin was just means to an end
Having Jin lead to him discovering PERGE so Jin already played his part in Chikara's world
because anon, chikara belonged to a super secret cult that wasn't naix but also believed basically the same thing as naix and it just so happened that the logo of that cult looked like jin's birthmark even though it's barely mentioned and makes no sense
I agree but the line when you look at the second machine (in the back) indicates it was used for surgery.
I'm 90% sure they say the machine was built to solve Jin's tumor problem by giving him a new half but it wasn't feasible so they started giving him Uru's organs.
They said that in addition to what I said.
Would you want a perfect waifuball if it cost you an eye and you couldn't even touch her? She would always be with you but you can never physically interact.
If she was as perfect as Aiba or Tama yes.
Does it really matter that you lose an eye when the replacement can do things like read minds and VR re-create anything you saw?
Well, you're real eye wouldn't run away if she got into a fight with you
With all the cybernetic enhancements like X-Ray, thermal, zoom in? Of course. My left eye has been though two surgeries due to injury so it's already fricked up.
gimme two
>your two AI wives hate each other and they both leave
>you're blind now
i wanna finger iris
>my end of the word catalyst super villain plan to immanentize the eschaton is nearly complete but there is one more step...
>should i enlist my right hand man? the one who is the only person in this organization I trust to be my second in command and keep the ship running while I'm gone?
>No, better blackmail a highschooler that dresses up as a mermaid into doing all the delicate positioning of my corpse
Tokiko's motives are complex
Also her plan was to give the nill number to the two Mizuki despite her son saying he was going to kill them.
she knew he would fail. I'm pretty sure she knew he was doomed
>thinking that Tokiko cares about anyone but herself
Lol
>thinking tokiko cares about her self
All she cares about is the plan and breaking the simulation. Which makes it even fricking stupider that she'd trust it to Amame. It gets even more moronic when they try to explain why she played along after Tokiko died when they say that the second in command was watching and if the orders weren't carried out properly he'd turn Amame in. If the guy was in on the plan and knew how it had to be done what the hell is the point of blackmailing the girl into doing it? Just get the actual trained cultist who believes in the teaching of the church to do it not an outsider
Something something breaking the fabric of reality and showing it to the frayer etc
COMPLEX
the entire point of Amame's sonmium was that there were no ifs in that world, that you had to live with your choices and it happened to a character the MCs knew and cared about and with Moksha the nil number the point was that was all a bunch of bullshit, the world is fake and you can just go back and undo it all with a cheat code
get frayed on
>and with Moksha the nil number the point was that was all a bunch of bullshit, the world is fake and you can just go back and undo it all with a cheat code
That's probably gonna take a toll over time.
>listen to interview with chris langan
>he's talking about various religions and mentions Moksha
lol I had no idea that was a real thing, I feel so stupid
picrel
>immanentize the eschaton
I really need to read Illuminatus books
they're based. they're actually a bit like one of this hack's games except actually funny and interesting
>Tokiko, Delta, and Akane
Do frick marry kill
That is a hard one.
Frick Akane
Marry Tokiko
Kill Delta
I think marrying Akane would suck because of her crazy powers getting in the way. Tokiko at least doesn't seem so bad if you can get her to shut up about simulations.
>I think marrying Akane would suck because of her crazy powers getting in the way.
How kind of you not to mention that she's a b***h and the worst girl
Depending on where in the ZE timeline you're marrying Akane she'd be completely incapable of a real human relationship due to how fricked up her perception of timelines are.
So frick, don't marry. Got you.
Junpei is such a fricking moron
He probably gets in at the last moment where she can be a normal person(with some work). Anywhere after a non-true ending of ZTD be it the timeline that leads to VLR or the one where she escapes and leaves Diana/Sigma stranded she's a lost cause.
She's already fricked in ZTD. He should've let her die. Fricking Santa, I will never forgive him.
What's the best way to replay it? Follow the character or follow the timeline
Correct chronlogical for sure
Just finished ZTD.
I thought you frickers were lying about the Delta twist. WHAT THE FRICK.
Welcome to the family son
Delta is a good twist and people overexaggerate
>omg le old man outside of every shot
Because they want to fit in and act like it's the worst story ever written. He's only there on Q team's scenes and is foreshadowed perfectly well with things like Q not having an image on the status screen or Mira shooting twice in the standoff.
ZTD's writing problems come from elsewhere in Q team(looking at you Mira) and the alien fax machine being just too silly in general.
Would you rather be Jin or Uru?
I'm so glad that the snail thing became a meme
I feel like Nirvana had its moments, but now that I've had time to think about it, it really doesn't compare to the first game for me.
dub>sub
Aiba saying big tiddy is the best thing to come out of AINI
How much medication does Tama need to pump into Ryuki on a daily basis?
Why didn't Uru gets Jins organs transplanted back into himself?
Uru was a lab rat that they discarded
I'm talking after he escaped.
because they were full of tumors?
Okay so you think the tumors came back after the surgies? I was thinking they didn't because they slowly took half his organs.
SHE'S IN
Whos the blockhead?
Best girl.
>Best girl
There’s a problem with your link, It isn’t about Aiba. I only see the hell spawn of Belle Daphine and Alex Jones.
That fluorescent shrimp of a wiener block can self destruct herself again when the servers are offline.
>2:05
Tama = Tama confirmed
Play 428
Those videos seem to have a few ideas that belong in the second game. There was a game delay, so I'm thinking story the story was cut in the first game.
>I love my sister and I don't want to be a burden on her! I wish that she didn't have to work all the time just to support me!
>*refuses to move back in with his mom and sister and makes her foot the rent bill*
he's a gamer
Would you eat a shrimp-flavoured hot dog?
would you eat a hot dog flavored shrimp>
Yes, but it needs a vegetable to balance things out.
Small compliments were all he needed to defang her.
who here in the thread has prosopagnosia and is also the CEO of a pharmaceutical company?
me
Let's, just for the sake of this conversation, pretend I was the one. What do you need?
Join my cult and kidnap some kids
Okay
having played 999 made me correctly guess the twist in the final case of Ace Attorney 6 ahead of time
I still stand by my opinion that the twist was stupid as frick
>Btw the timelines are convoluted got you good
>why are they convoluted
>lmao DNA
It's a neat narrative trick, but I do also think it's sort of an unsatisfying solution to the bizarre serial killings. It turns out that the mystery behind the murders... isn't really much of a mystery at all, it just looked like one because the player was being fricked with.
In that respect, I liked the New Cyclops killings a lot more than the HB ones.
I don't like the New Cyclops Killings because unlike the Half Body Killings, they have to sweep it under the rug and come up with a bullshit excuse to the public
Santa is in this thread
Here's your Santa anon.
phi in art
>cute
phi in-game
>ugly
why bros why
Blame sovlless 3d. At least AI's 3d is pretty good.
because Uchikoshi was given more than 10 dollars and a paperclip for AI
AI is also not on 3DS
999 had a perfect style and they ruined it. AND FOR WHAT?
my guess would be the 3ds gimmick. would defeat the purpose if they were just drawings popping out
999 was considered a flop in Japan so the dev team didn't have the funds to use more expensive sprites
VLR was considered a flop in Japan and got ZTD cancelled, when it was revived the budget was even lower so it looked like it did
Guess they gave him more money for AI1 cause they realized the western market was lucrative too.
So who told Uchi that westerns like animu in 3d?
At this point it's just cheaper and easier to do anime in 3d. They're close enough that it looks passingly like 2D and when it doesn't look like 2D they just don't give a frick cause it's anime. Just look at the new dragon ball movie lol. It looks like a feature length cutscene from kakarot.
the 3D models are so fricking bad for VLR. ZTD is also ugly as frick but it scales a lot better than the 3DS models from VLR. Looks ridiculous on modern consoles/PC. The scene with K laying down in the lounge looks hilarious.
ZTD models look okay-ish in static but godawful in motion. Terrible camera angles don't help either.
yes but it's lightyears ahead of VLR in motion lmao
She looks so ugly in the 3rd game.
>suddenly has orange eyebrows
Gee, I wonder what this means
>thirsts after her 60 year old dad's 12 incher
I can't fix her
Considering how Uchi works, I wonder if the whole TWINSU twist was even implied in VLR.
I remember theories around that time, yeah. Mostly because they both had Greek letters for names.
Actually, I'm Santa.
More than half of Somniums could've been avoided if only Mizuki exercised her authority as a police officer.
they probably had to do that in the first place in order to get the people to go to ABIS (police station) and get them drugged
Spike Chunsoft actually jumped onto the PC bandwagon early (by japanese standards) and even ported rubbish that no one cared about like Conception II
>A-Set
OH MY GOOOOOOD
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
ai balls can detect biological signature from a mile away (the stadium), can't figure out this wasn't a studio prop
six-month-old AIs are just really moronic, please understand
holy shit
date keeping his look is based. so's design > falcos design
I still think it's all a big ruse, I refuse to believe that >silicon mask is real.
I believe they should've never swapped in the first game at the end. The Date/Sato design is just so much better.
i don't believe it's just to avoid spoilers, that's just an excuse that makes sense. if they want to franchise this series and build its characters up it makes sense to keep original date that you play as for 99% of the first game.
I think they could have just had the spoiler switch make saito!Date turn into falco!Date.
But then they'd have to pay for DC douglas to do all the lines as well, and I'm sure this probably wasn't a game with excessive budget to spare.
Wait, Falco is voiced by DC Douglas in en dub? Holy kek, I have to hear this.
>playing with JP voices
moron
Here's all the epilogue stuff with him
Yeah, just checked it. Surprisingly godawful, the dub really ruins it. Just check out how JP actors play "tell me a lie" moment.
?t=5610
ok weeb
cringe holy shit
>those comments
>check channel
>guy has a playlist called "porn video"
>it's 1 video of a bunch of children getting presents from santa at some get together thing
thats so gay
>six minutes... six minutes is all that-
>SHUT UP
Damn, that would've been pure gold
but i don't think they want falco date to be date at all. it's like an episode of a cartoon or something where everything gets resolved at the end of the day and they're back to square one for the next episode. I honestly never expected him to be falco at all because when I think Date I think of the So version.
Yeah the more likely reason is that people just prefer his original face/voice. I never really felt like true end Date's appearance fit with his personality after 6 years in Saito's body.
Personally I kinda enjoyed the contrast. And I feel like we still got a sense of Date's personality even with the different voice.
Yeah. Hopefully if they do another sequel we get more family time between them and Mizuki.
>saves your day
You're welcome
why did they ruin the A set rhymes
It's supposed to all rhyme with set
because doing Tesa is easier
How does Uchi make the most Japanese looking western games ever?
I do think the Ai games' tone is pretty facinating. I can't imagine a product with this schizophrenic of a tone getting made anywhere else.
*cough* cloning *cough*
Delta knew about the terrorist because of his mind hack powers, implying that he has read the mind of several shitters who travelled from the world's end back to an unknown point in their past lives. AI3 will be the game that shows the terrorist in action and it will be set in New York, same place where Elgorg (Wadjet System creator company) is located and it will explain the quantum computer from Dcom too
>JP player struggling to be relevant again
we get it, you're lonely and depressed
I forget, does Date actually remember his time as Falco by the end of AI1? Not just knowing it happened and being told about it from a 3rd part, but as a natural memory the way he remembers working for ABIS.
Won't forgive AI2 for throwing out the obvious Date/Aiba teasing and putting him right back with Hitomi, with almost no good AIba/Date interaction all game.
Anon, he's there for free laps only. Hitomi is never going to Atami.
They pretty clearly say that the two are flirting in the trivia scroll during that scene.
>Reiko was Hitomi this whole time
Now THAT would be a twist
>the real reason Aiba switched partners is because she couldn't put up with being a cuckquean
>still has ciphered "Date" in her Likes
Not gonna make it
Uhm, why did Boss not tell Date his identity after he lost his memory again? Did she just want a free pawn or what?
Possibly because his memories involve A:him being a serial hitman, B:him shooting his girlfriend by accident and C:his body really being the body of the one responsible for everything
And the reason not to tell him that is...?
Probably not a great thing to know, especially without the context of the rest of your memories
Not a great thing to keep as a secret either
