Even if you remove the FMV, PSX games were 50-100 MB, which was larger than the largest carts available which were also obscenely expensive. FF7's world is approximately 400MB if you remove the FMV

In hindsight, N64 did have a lot of really obtuse design decisions, but to me it will always be *the* video game console. Funny that such a wonky console would have a lot of the most phenomenal games ever made.
