dsx on steam, it's like 3 bucks and lets you use profile and use adaptative triggers outside of playstation games. Is pretty convenient
Unironically I like DS4Windows way better than I like even native drivers with the Xbone controller because Microsoft did basically fricking nothing in giving user options for it while in DS4Windows I can customize fricking everything about the controller. My beat up DS4 that had the stick drift problem lasted years past its due date by simply adjusting the dead zone to compensate for the drift. Something MS can't even dream of doing.
my pattern recognition must be mindbroken, I saw vidya butts from this thumbnail
Go into the steam controller options and tell Steam to emulate your DualSense as an a xbox controller. You can select this option on a game-by-game basis so that it does it only for your specific games that don't have native dualsense support.
My mistake, ds4windows didn't work Metro Exodus and I had to use DualSenseX. The free version off the web not the stupid paid version on the steam store.
DS4Windows is designed for it as well
Though if you play pirated games (or games outside steam) with Dualsense support, I'd recommend not using it so it gets actually detected as a dualsense. Unless you give zero shits about haptic feedback or whatever gimmicks
DS4 does both, and in fact, there is no huge different between the DS4 and DS5, I think you can even bring your DS4 to the PS5 and it doesn't give a single shit
should i get a dualsense or a DS4 v2? im not gonna play shooters or anything, but just for emulation stuff (also has as a gyro). im not going to believe its going to drift or have the sticks rubber fall apart since it took my old x360 controllers years to reach that part from daily abuse of playing shooters. also iirc the ds4 v2 can be overclocked to 1000hz polling rate with ds4 manually if you have BT, so you dont have to get the official dongle.
It's plug and play with Steam. It unironically works better with a BT dongle than the Xbox controller. Never had any issues so far other than the dogshit battery life.
At least with DS4Windows you can completely shut off the LED on the controller. Same thing can be done with the Dualsense but I find it messes up controller configs on a per game basis.
it depends on what you like. it's nice and heavy, and responsive. you can add hacked games in your library, and have try ability to use the switch pro. I did it castlevania revamped
I really like the switch controller, but I much prefer symmetrical sticks. The 8bitdo pro 2 has been my go to for this reason. There's even an official xbox one, but that one doesn't have gyro. I like the dualsense but it's a tad too fat for me. I don't know why they made it so big.
Recently it just stopped working properly on Steam and I had to get HidHide Configuration and DS4Windows to get Steam to recognize my Dualsense. Literally just updated Windows once a couple of weeks ago and it caused it
i've been using DS4windows for several years and it works fine, just make sure exclusive mode is working, there's an icon in the controller list showing whether it is.
steam controller configuration also works, but why you would want your controller working tied to a shitty bloated chrome app is a mystery to me.
I'm pretty sure I remember using DS4Windows with my DS5 while I had it but I sold my PS5 for a profit like 2 weeks after getting it near launch.e
Internet tells me it should work natively via steam api
It works with steam but some older games are a bit finicky with it and prefer xbox inputs, which is where you’re obviously better off using DS4windows
dsx on steam, it's like 3 bucks and lets you use profile and use adaptative triggers outside of playstation games. Is pretty convenient
DS4 is free and is piss-easy to set up. Also I don’t give a shit about adaptive triggers, even on my PS5 I’ve never used them
Unironically I like DS4Windows way better than I like even native drivers with the Xbone controller because Microsoft did basically fricking nothing in giving user options for it while in DS4Windows I can customize fricking everything about the controller. My beat up DS4 that had the stick drift problem lasted years past its due date by simply adjusting the dead zone to compensate for the drift. Something MS can't even dream of doing.
I see it, holy shit hahah
Why. Just use ds4windows.
Go into the steam controller options and tell Steam to emulate your DualSense as an a xbox controller. You can select this option on a game-by-game basis so that it does it only for your specific games that don't have native dualsense support.
well I’ll be, thanks anon
works the exact same
If you use it wires it just werks
Yes it works and for some games like Metro Exodus it's even required. 95% of the time steam works.
My mistake, ds4windows didn't work Metro Exodus and I had to use DualSenseX. The free version off the web not the stupid paid version on the steam store.
Yeah am using it wired
Just booted up cod mw2
Man adaptive triggers feels nifty
DS4Windows is designed for it as well
Though if you play pirated games (or games outside steam) with Dualsense support, I'd recommend not using it so it gets actually detected as a dualsense. Unless you give zero shits about haptic feedback or whatever gimmicks
It just works through steam thanks to steam input or get dsx or dsadvance
Is it even safe to charge your PS5 controller on a p c?
why wouldn’t it be?
So it's safe to charge it in a outlet with my phone charger?
it didn't work with my nokia 3310 charger
Just be sure it's a normal one, not like a fast charging samsung usb C one. 5V whatever. 1.5A or more ideally.
PC ports are as standard (and slow charging) as they get, so not really
Literally the same USB current standard...
I have a better idea. put all your games on steam, and use the switch pro controller. problem solved.
can freely put your games into your steam list and use the overlay to use different controllers.
>how do I use a switch pro controller
steam
Its not called "Dualshock4Windows". It's now called "Dualsense4Windows"

Doesn't the latest windows just recognize the DS5 controller?
>Microsoft plug and play
these fricking homosexuals only recognize micro wiener, and their shitty hardware
dualsense works natively on mac os and ios as well
It's plug and play with Steam. It unironically works better with a BT dongle than the Xbox controller. Never had any issues so far other than the dogshit battery life.
>the dogshit battery life.
even with vibration and adaptive triggers off it’s fricking godawful. the DS4 had the same problem
At least with DS4Windows you can completely shut off the LED on the controller. Same thing can be done with the Dualsense but I find it messes up controller configs on a per game basis.
the amount of watt hours it uses is so insignificant your better off turning off the gyro.
Japanese made controllers are damn good. I use my switch, and never had a problem with it
>on steam
>perfect controller steam
>the new 360
Is it actually good?
it depends on what you like. it's nice and heavy, and responsive. you can add hacked games in your library, and have try ability to use the switch pro. I did it castlevania revamped
>you can add games in your library to allow your switch pro remote to work
No its trash. Especially the dpad
Sticks are also in the wrong position.
I really like the switch controller, but I much prefer symmetrical sticks. The 8bitdo pro 2 has been my go to for this reason. There's even an official xbox one, but that one doesn't have gyro. I like the dualsense but it's a tad too fat for me. I don't know why they made it so big.
SNES controller is the last decent nintendo controller
now go back
From that angle it looks like the controller has a black tank top and the sticks are boobs/nipples.
just use the superior xbox controller
The current one's haven't been that good. I haven't tried the elites yet, but I would imagine it isn't too far off.
if your using it legit works with about 95% of steam games. Even if its pirated or GoG add it as a non-steam game.
Recently it just stopped working properly on Steam and I had to get HidHide Configuration and DS4Windows to get Steam to recognize my Dualsense. Literally just updated Windows once a couple of weeks ago and it caused it
DS4windows works with Dualsense
Dualsense also works natively with steam so it's redundant
Unless you specifically want to play non-steam games
stream support for PS controllers is kind of wonky, ds4w has better drivers
Never noticed many significant issues using dualsense for steam
Other than the UI feeling janky because I was used to the old UI
This I had no issues with steam input using the dual sense it all works flawlessly
Is that your own made up head canon? your feels?
>Is that your own made up head canon? your feels?
Did someone hurt you?
Nah I'm just calling out your bullshit
Its not bullshit if its true, Anon.
