too much is locked behind the skill tree
fighting on platforming elements is straight up jank and barely works, enemies were not designed to fight on small platforms or slants
The openness of some of the areas isnt designed well. its just swaths of emptiness between clumps of enemies or a random item. It doesnt intuitively lead you around while also not giving you a proper map.
Its pretty fun though, solid attempt at marring 3d platforming elements and souls combat. Will be finishing it at the very least and maybe my opinion will change the further in I get. I hope the bosses ramp up though

The controls take some getting used to, coming from FromSoft titles, but I've got it now
I like the Hollow Knight-esque equipment scheme
Bosses are challenging but the retry mechanic is merciful so you can keep slamming your head on the problem. I think lightrolling is best?
There are definitely some jank ass sections-- particularly enemies on irregular or small platforms
The differences in shells is a cool idea, with powers, kinda reminds me of Kirby The Crystal Shards
Playing up to at least the crab city is necessary to give it a fair shake, since some core mechanics are opened after that point
I played the demo during some steam next fest and it seemed okay. I might buy it for like $10. I have a vague impression that the developers are very reddit which makes me not want to play their game
I'll give it a go on gamepass because it costs me nothing, but I can't see myself being surprised particularly. I guess it wouldn't be a surprise though. Its a rough looking game.
