Yeah it was pretty bad
The gameplay is super one dimensional and boring, the story takes a nosedive after the first section
It's incredibly sad too because the fake movie they were watching on the bus at the start had an amazing premise, but it was just a throwaway cutscene
Then the underwater park section was decently engaging, and that was also thrown out the window
What an absolute waste
Incredibly simple 2D platformer
All the characters get their own anime moment where they awaken super powers that are pretty much just kirby abilities
Not even those add any depth to the gameplay as you just use them when needed with no thought required
It's made by Uchikoshi (Zero Escape), Nakazawa (Ever17), and Kodaka (Danganronpa). It's mostly about the story. It's not really the kind of game you should play if you're looking for fun puzzles and platforming.
yes completed it don't ask me why i hate myself that much, game isn't bad is even worse so for any anon reading this shit don't even waste your time watching a clip at YouTube of the game
I lost interest when I heard it was primarily an Uchikoshi game. But I enjoyed the first Somnium so maybe I’ll try this out. I did play the demo, but I know that’s not really what the whole game is like.
Danganronpa people making a PG rated kids’ story with another “MUH SUBVERSION” like all japs love to do because they can’t write a good story that stands on its own.
this shit could be better in anime/movie or live action medium, in videogame is painful, you see a long cutscene, walking 20 steps and watch another cutscene
man I completely misinterpreted the trailer. I thought it was a death game turned into group survival sim. trying to tard wrangle kids that were just trying to kill each other while figuring out what even happened
I remember playing the demo, but the gameplay and overall presentation was so basic that it was worse than just having the story slotted into your standard VN scene transitions. For whatever reason they really just tunnel visioned onto the Apple Arcade's limitations of having incredibly simple controls instead of actually making a good game. I was actually interested in the game and its designs, but it didn't seem like there was any substance.
It incorporates the worst aspects of Kodaka and Uchikoshi writing. >lol the protagonist isn't who you think >lol the player is an in-universe character
played an hour and a half. it was painfully mediocre.
what the frick were they thinking?
for me it's
Groomable.
They pull the rug on the premise, right? Yeah no thx.

I was going to, but I read some threads saying it was completely different than what the trailers showed
i watched some of it on youtube.
what even is the gameplay in here?
just walking and talking?

most successful WEC thread on Ganker ever lmao.

>that 1 hour long monologue infodump at the end
it was unironically better than ZTD at least.
the game had some fun twists. It has an identity crisis though as it dances from uchikoshi death game to japanese goonies

>finish the first(?) level or whatever
>"lmao, no one actually died, let's do this again"
Dropped it and never looked back.

I thought the world ends with (You)? Or is this something different?
I emulated it for like 1 hour.

I got it on apple arcade but i haven't bothered to play past the intro yet.
No, stop asking.
