From what little dialogue we have seen from Avowed, it looks to be about as shit as their other recent WRPG and CRPG offerings. Combat looks like it might have some interesting mechanics, but also looks like it lacks any impact and the enemy AI seems patently braindead. I have little faith but will be keeping an eye on it to see if it defies all expectations.

Personally I liked Sawyer's autistic history lesson in VN format, for the most part. Also this track from the OST stuck with me: https://youtube.com/watch?v=NCffBBr55QA

    >Set in the pillars universe.
    No, not remotely.
They're lucky that immsersive sims like TES games are so goddamn rare within the first person RPG market because otherwise nobody would really think about it.
Even then, waiting for Tainted Grail more than I am Avowed.

God, Tyranny was so fricking good. I wish they went with that setting instead of Eora.

tyranny was a great 1/3rd of a game, then they dipped when it was starting to get interesting

    not really
I mean I still have mild interest in it because I like the genre, but the gameplay they've shown did not look promising.

Even blacks have a concept of 'good hair' so why don't video game developers? If black women were capable of making video games they would never give scraggly hair for the characters. So what gives? Why is this happening, this ugly worship?

Nah, but I think it'll be alright. Probably have surpassed Bethesda now since Outer worlds was better than Shitfield.

      Why?
Anyone with the smallest amount of self respect would distance themselves from it considering it went from a cRPG to a Skyrim clone for mass appeal

        >considering it went from a cRPG to a Skyrim clone for mass appeal
Thanks to garbage like BG3, cRPGs are now the "mass appeal." Nobody has successfully made a proper Skyrim clone with all its freedoms, exploration, and character options to this day. And no, making a first person RPG sandbox isn't a "Skyrim clone."

          >Thanks to garbage like BG3, cRPGs are now the "mass appeal."
          They are not.
If a game like Pillars of Eternity 1&2 was released nowadays, it might sell slightly higher but the fact is the lack of presentation aka useless things for a cRPG like amazing graphics & full voice acting, plus the heavy focus on dialogue, more complex character building etc. would still filter most normies that liked BG3.

New Vegas and Disco Elysium are loved by normal gays, CRPGs are mainstream, dilate.

Lol crpgs still don't have mass appeal. Bg3 was a high presentation bisexual dating simulator first and a crpg distant second. You could re-release every other crpg of the last 20 years tomorrow and not a single one would reach half of what bg3 did by simply trying its best not to appeal to people that like crpgs.

Nah, not anymore. I was keen on the original pitch where it seemed like someone might finally be taking Bethesda to task and making a first person fantasy immersive sim. Now that it's known that they've drastically scaled back that ambition and are working on garbage in the vein of The Outer Worlds, I could not possibly care less.

Safe diversity for the white women designing them. They can still claim feminism as a shared victimhood umbrella and don't have to worry about Asian women complaining about racist caricatures/depictions or Hispanic women just not caring/taking the race bait.
