They're okay, I have baby hands so probably don't get it if you have average-big hands it's a lot tinier in person.
I want one but it not being OLED plus the fact that it wouldn't sync saves with my other switch means it's not worth it even as a novelty
Someone is apparently working on an OLED mod for the Lite with HDMI out which sounds interesting. Hope something comes of it.
It's not worth it if you already have an original unless you have no friends and just want a cheaper way to trade with yourself in Pokemon or exclusively use it for VNs. It's the low budget kids version and unless you have baby hands it'll become uncomfortable after a while.
It's OK but sucks for fps and open world games.
I switched to an odin 2 and never looked back. Frick tendies and frick their cum dripping trash tier hardware. Imagine buying this shit in 2024
I'm buying another one just to spit at (You)
>buying a new switch in September when switch 2.0 is coming out next year
>switch 2.0 is coming out next year
lol
I do not think there's a single industry professional that disputes this.
the same """"""""""""""""industry professionals"""""""""""""" that said the Switch 2/Pro was coming out in 2021/2022/2023/2024?
Well they become increasingly more likely to be correct every year.
>just keep moving goalposts maybe it'll be right somewhere
this is a very brain cell killing philosophy
Every year Nintendo doesn't release a device makes the chance they will the next year higher.
They literally announced that they'll be revealing the switch 2 this fiscal year.

They sure took their time this generation. Switch 1 was rushed out with nothing worthwhile but Zelda because they wanted to move away from the Wii U ASAP. I'll be disappointed if Switch 2 doesn't have the same level of launch titles as the PS2, given how long they've delayed it.
The d-pad feels better than the separate buttons and is more portable but besides that, there's no point in buying a console whose name doesn't reflect its features.
Good alternative for those who don't care about wagglan gaems or seeing a stretched 720p game on a 32 inch screen
I regret not buying a Switch Lite. My original Switch is too bulky and heavy, and I've never connected it to the TV. There's really no reason for me to have this model. I also don't get why Deckgays keep saying their console is the peak handheld. Both the Switch and the Deck are barely portable.
My gf has the lite and it’s pretty neat if you just want a handheld and don’t plan on playing docked. To me the sticks feel much sturdier than the joycons.
I don't know why I would ever get one because I use my Switch docked 90% of the time.
When this thing inevitably starts drifting you're fricked.
>le drift maymay
I really like playing on my Lite, in many ways I prefer it to the original model due to its reduced size, uniform form factor and lighter weight.
I bought a Lite to be my "best games" Switch, AKA the absolute favorite ones I have since in general Switch has so many curiosity buys that I kind of wanted to keep my original model as the one that houses all of them, and only the very best ones get to be on my Lite and the top eight physical games are the ones inside the carrying case. I also do not use a memory card just to limit the amount of digital stuff I'd get, the truly awesome digital games are the ones that don't take a fugton of space and have been made with rock-solid performance. Playing stuff like Short Hike and One Way Heroics Plus on Lite is absolute bliss.
The lack of TV mode is just a big NO for me. Wish regular switch were this size tho...
mines pretty nice, but when your first launch a game the fan kicks on and it's pretty loud for like 5 minutes.
I use it more than my regular one.
But only because I own both. The cloud save shits annoying, having to keep a pokemon save on one but not the other is kinda shitty but pokemon feels best on a handheld device anyway
I just wish there was an oled version with haptics
guys where do i pre order that switch lite. I have a gray one and its great. its the modern gameboy advance.
I don't think it's up for pre-order yet in the US
