You're probably better off playing something else but if you really want to try it, make sure to spend your starting platinum on things like character and weapon slots. Shotguns like the hek and the tigris are top tier and will also carry you through most of the game if you build them right. Get ready to grind a shit ton for resources and prime parts to sell for platinum too, because that's pretty much all you'll ever be doing outside the story quests, most of which are dogshit and boring at the start.
Bullet jumping is your best friend. Also, elemental mods are of utmost importance, you will need to know what's what to get through some of the later armour.
Your starter plat is best used on slots
don't sell or get rid of/recraft any gear that isn't level 30 yet
focus on completing the solar system early on, a lot of side content branches from here but you'll run into roadblocks if you haven't finished it
It's usually not too bad to grind for a particular weapon/frame/gear (there are a few big exceptions to this) assuming you have the loadout for it but lots of veteran players are on the "grind for the sake of grind" treadmill partially because you can sell loot to other players for premium currency
get in the general thread if you want up to date info
I used to play this game a lot but got sort of burned out by open world content and just check on things occasionally now. It's kind of cool to be able to hop into a mission and see other players using new stuff I've never seen while I can still shred shit with some antique that was part of a vintage meta from 2014
Probably not worth starting tbh
You should delete this game as soon as possible, thats how you beat it

The grind is endless and the fun is fleeting.
run while you can, this is not a game, its a shiny skinner box designed to get you hooked on random rewards and waste your free time
Don't. Run away now. The game even tries to save you by giving you a horrible starting impression. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN.
kill enemies to gain xp and loot

You'll be addicted for a month or two and then cry at the devs for being lazy, incompetent shits. Do the star chart and story quests.

It's not by any stretch a stealth game. The early-game hints that it might be are leftover from before it was turned into zoom zoom bait.
Don't do it.
No, seriously.

Game is slightly above average until you realize there's like 6 real story quests and nothing to do aside from grind for MR.
