Are fighting game tournaments rigged?

Are these fricking things rigged?

Every time I watch one it ends with a 2 - 2 game, 1 - 1 round match.

This happens in a tennis match were both players are very even in skill it's not going to be a blow out. It's the same with fighting games when you're up a game you're going to take bigger risks to win while your opponent will be more cautious plus they've began to download your game plan and will attempt to counter it making it more like for them to even the score if they're just as good as you.

Almost like if you got to that point in the tournament you're both undoubtedly very solid players capable of adjusting on the spot

They rig the brackets so that the finals aren't a shitshow
The high ranking players also tend to split their earnings among themselves so that 2nd place doesn't go home with a crumpled $50 bill and a pat on the back
Actual match fixing supposedly doesn't happen, but they tend to place loners or guys that aren't part of the clique against tournament favorites so they can go away and they can keep their ''1337 srs bsns" club in the higher positions

It's only natural since both players are getting a feel for their playstyles and constantly one upping each other.
