70% of their revenue comes from their sports games. Ubisoft doesn't have that so they haven't had a profit in years and will actually die.

No, most problems with gaming are with too much regulation, specifically too much copyright laws and government funded diversity initiatives. Most big AAA companies have nothing else going for them besides recognizable branding/IPs and mountains of cash from when they were more decent, anyhow. If they didn't have those, they'd all be cannibalized by better upstarts already

                >"that's why capitalism creates nothing. Its only concern is how much money can be made from something someone else made"
Nobody uses the word that way. If someone says "X was created under capitalism" then the implication is that it was created either in a country running on a capitalist system or that its creation hinged on capitalist ideas or systems, like getting funding form venture capitalists.

      This I don't mind, non-intrusive
What people are worrying about is the game being like Youtube and it makes you sit through an actual video ad before you load a match

        >and it makes you sit through an actual video ad before you load a match
and what's wrong with that? Matches take a good minute or so to start up while waiting on matchmaking and other players to join. You're doing literally frick all but staring at a screen waiting, might as well be productive with that waiting by watching an ad (that would more often that not end before the match is even close to queuing up) so the developers can more easily afford to keep the servers up longer.

Why can't they just put up a quick minigame in between matches instead of an ad then

Because they did in CoD Black Ops Cold War but no one cared about playing a bunch of ancient boomer Atari games while waiting in que. Waste of effort.

Customer is always right in matters of taste. I am not paying for those games and never will. I am not buying any game that requires me to use another launcher or create an account either. Just don't buy it and let those who are willing to consume it do so, it's not a game created for you or me anyway.

Ad slopers will say something like:
"It's ok, they only sell the game for 70 where it should cost 100. If anything i welcome ads, we should be thankful we are getting these awesome games made"
Then continue happily eating shit. Cattle people are very predictable anon

It wouldn't be that difficult really.
    They make football(soccer) games yearly
Football on the TV has adverts at half time.
Why not just have actual ad breaks in the halftime ingame?

Pretty sure alot of companies would pay a weekly/monthly sum to have millions of people see their shit at the halftime of every game they play.

I don't care if they do it, normies deserve to get milked.

      was meant for

      >Without capitalism you wouldn’t have any video games!
      >Really? I didn’t know that. Did capitalists program the game?
      >Well, no, workers did that.
      >Did capitalists design the game?
      >No, workers did that too.
      >So they must’ve been in charge of the game’s aesthetics. Story, art, music?
      >Also workers.
      >Must have been more about logistics, then. Did they manufacture the discs the game came on?
      >No, workers did that.
      >Did they ship the game out?
      >Still workers.
      >I got it! They sold me the game. Surely they must have done that. That guy behind the counter at GameStop, was he a capitalist?
      >No, he was a worker.
      >Then what did the capitalists do?
      >They took money from all the workers who made the game, of course! Nobody else could have done that!

There have been ads in games for decades already. Every sports game has ads all over the place, but nobody complains because that’s how sports are. Burnout Paradise had ads on billboards and shit, I’m pretty sure they even shilled for Obama with those at one point. Ads in games, especially EA games, are nothing new or worth getting mad about.

This is already the case in Street Fighter 6. It also has battle passes and microtransactions. But it's Capcom, so everyone gives them a pass.
