      50. It’s stand alone DLC for Valhalla that got expanded into a full game.

        kinda cool if true
that magic space ninja autokill power they showed off was fricking stupid though

It’s true. And I agree too, that was really stupid. I don’t think super powers outside of Eagle Vision and PoE belong in an AC game. It feels like they wanted to ape Bamham’s Fear Takedowns, when throwing knives would’ve been better.

The death of a company, squeezing every last drop outta their cash cow. How utterly sad and pathetic. I'd sue these guys into the dirt if I were Singapore Govt.

Hexe is supposed to be about the Holy Roman Empire Witch Trials, so maybe I’ll check that out, and if the multiplayer games actually bring back the multiplayer that started with Brotherhood, I’ll give it a shot. I’m dreading the Black Flag remake the most.

      >what is basically a remake of AC1
Not only does Mirage wish it was an AC1 remake, the fact you can look at it and think it's similar to AC1 makes you a moron as well

AC3 was a proof of concept for AC4. Ubisoft outright said this was just DLC at first.

The 2009 version makes better use of light/darkness composition. That play on sharp contrast gives "assassin" vibes.

      >appealing to nostalgia is... le bad

        Anonymous

It is bad in this case, yes, because they clearly have no faith in this title (confirmed by the very next AC game returning to open-world RPG slop) and are just relying on their appeal to nostalgia. They are very obviously not serious about the whole "returning to roots" thing other than using it to market the game to older AC fans.

    >in fricking Baghdad
    >story is about you getting rescued or beaten up by said strong wyman for the first 4 hours of the game, also women are all written as stronger and smarter then men
playing a historical game that belatedly lies about the demographically makeup and gender roles of historical settings feels bizarre to me. i mean what is the point, might as well have it take place in a fantasy world at this point.

in AC 2 women were depicted as cute and feminine and not generic strong wyman. also the focus was still about men and women didn't constantly rescue or beat up the male protagonists.
        But keep being dishonest anon

I have played AC1 when AC2 came out and I liked it but I felt it was somewhat repetitive gameplay wise
    I loved AC2
I kinda disliked brotherhood, then stopped thinking about the series for a while
AC4 came out, gave it a try, loved it
Unity ran like shit so I sort of skipped it couldn't get into it and it still ran like shit
Rogue was more like AC4 so I liked it
I played half of Syndicate and that was it, I just wanted no more except to try Unity again, but I just couldn't get into it anymore

It's been a long time. I now have this switch over here I keep playing random stuff on. I noticed it has both old trilogies, should I give the ezio one another try? I haven't played AC2/brotherhood since each of them released. I don't know how revelations is at all, and I haven't played 3. I never played any of the newer ones either, I was told AC Origin/Oddysey/Vallhala were all action RPGs that had little to do with AC anymore.
