It should be natural. You should be sitting there one day and realize "this is a waste of time. Even in my leisure time I could be doing something more gratifying and rewarding than this". And then you'll quit.

There is nothing more childish than trying to stuff things into age categories and trying to seem grown up.
Now hand me my coloring book.

Make it slightly inconvenient and make a different intake for dopamine and a sense of accomplishment more convenient.
Put your games on a separate PC in an encrypted partition on a virtual machine or something.
        You'll naturally drop it.

No not really. Learning to play any instrument, draw, woodcarve, skateboard, surf, act in a community thater play or musical are all things off the top of my head that are not aimless, have you working towards perfection of a craft, and meeting people in the real world. You're crazy if you would seriously maintain video games are less aimless than any of those.

          >an adult-like mind
The frick does that mean you fricking moron

An adult like mind is someone who takes his role as a man in the world seriously. In some respects, if you have to ask what that means, you'll never "get it". Hiding away in your room playing video games all day certainly isn't something ahigh functioning adult would do.

            >Hiding away in your room playing video games all day certainly isn't something ahigh functioning adult would do.
but hiding away in your room all day drawing manga, playing a flute and carving wooden horses is something a high-functioning adult does?

              Anonymous

Local rec centers have group woodcarving and drawing classes. There are community bands and orchestras where you rehearse together publicly. It's very different. Yes you practice flute or drawing in your room but that is to create something tangible for public enjoyment. Unless you would seriously maintain you grinding away at video games in your room is the same as a composer grinding away at a music composition in his?

If you aren't passionate about anything and just wallow away in obscurity playing video games, whatever. But at some point it should dawn on you what a waste of time video games are.

Yes, unironically. YOUR hobby should please the normies out there, you have to win their respect out of it, or else you're a social exile stain on this world and honestly is the correct thing to do, chud. Humanity has prospered because of this, and imprisoning and exiling the weirdos in order to improve and maintain the social fabric has always happened. See israelites for example
