The first sign was when they did Brotherhood instead of 3. But that was not a huge deal, since people generally liked Ezio and they were fine games.
Then 3 came out and didn't offer a resolution, but kicked the can down the road from a story perspective. This was originally a story about Desmond, but then the series outgrew him.
The next few games were fine, but were treading water and didn't move the series forward in a significant way. For all of Unity's problems, it was actually a decent effort to move the series in a better direction, but it failed so they went back to the drawing board and basically threw everything out.
Origins was, on first appearance, a "breath of fresh air" but it turned out to be a Witcher clone and turned out to be a huge step in the wrong direction. Instead of deepening the stealth and assassination aspects, they decided to make it an "RPG" but the gameplay was legitimately awful and the entire game felt unpolished and unfocused. Repeat that with Odyssey and Valhalla and here you have it.
That’s the result of Ubishit firing Desilets. He wanted to end the series with a Desmond game in Modern Day, while they wanted to keep the story going to make more money, so they got rid of him, killed Desmond, and made the series into a crude parody of what it used to be in the name of corporate greed.
End of the world plot + overexplaining the mystery of the ones who came before
Abstergo wanting to launch a mind control device into space was already bad enough, no need to raise the stakes further. The solar flare shit has no relation to the assassin/templar conflict.
The fragments of eden should have been treated like the markers in dead space (1). Mysterious pre-human tech scattered across the earth with very little hard data about their origins or nature
It never recovered from when it was turned into an annual franchise. AC only needed a three-game arc like the creator had planned. I get that people want to explore every historical setting under the sun, but you don't need the AC brand for that. You're just getting worse assassin games and worse historical games that way.
>AC1 had many issues among which bad AI and lack of challenge, but was still great and had that old Ubisoft style, reminded me of Farcry 2 >AC2 had great story and presentation, and more gameplay options, but ultimately was not as polished as the original, and difficulty was easier >Brotherhood packed many improvements over AC2 and felt like a better game >Revelations felt half-assed and was inferior to both AC2 and Brotherhood, added mechanics were useless, instead they introduced more issues >AC3 had the worst protagonist, story, and cities, gameplay took a nosedive >AC4: Black Flag was great because pirates and its now broken gameplay and exploration fit small settlements nicely >Rogue is like a bad Black Flag >Unity okay some nice improvements but still wtf >Syndicate WTF >Origins SIR PLEASE >Odyssey SIR DO NOT REDEEM >Valhalla SIR PLEASE DO NOT REDEEM >Mirage DO NOT REDEEM THE CARD SIR
It really is wasted potential, they have so little to fix to make it great and enjoyable, and after 12 sequels they still couldn't do it. Climbing has become mostly broken, combat and AI are still such fricking trash, and overall story progression and exploration are laughable, but no one at Ubisoft seems to see it.
Shay isn’t a badass. He’s a hypocritical moron from start to finish that could’ve prevented everything if didn’t have a sub 90 IQ. He killed Ade for no reason, and has nothing to justify it.
AC4 was the last good one. That was because it barely had anything to do with ass creed at all. I remember trying to find an outfit that would let me remove the hood and get a pirate hat.
I’d say 3, but I still had fun with 4, Unity, and Origins even if there was a noticeable drop off in quality. Everything after Origins is the point of no return. Odyssey and Valhalla were awful, and I can’t see any of the upcoming games being good in the slightest.
Is this the dumbass that plays nothing but goyslop and has to have 5 simultaneous threads active on the catalogue at all times for whatever garbage he's playing? Can you please stop?
>Ok, let's say you want to close the game for the day and do something else. You'd think you just pause the game and pick exit, right? Well, no. Want to know how to actually quit the game? *chugs beer* I'll show ya. >First you pause the game and exit the memory, you wait for the game to load, now you're inside the animus. When in the animus you pick exit and again, you wait, this time for Desmond to get up, very, VERY slowly. And then what? That's right, another fricking pause and another fricking exit. You wait until it loads and... yeah you've guessed it YOU PICK EXIT AGAIN. Now after exiting the profile menu, NOW, finally, you can exit the game. ... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
AC Orgins bro
There was no point in playing anything beyond AC2 unless you're 14 and have nothing better to do with your life
2 is the same shit as anything that came after it

After AC2
it was never good, the only game that didn't put me in a coma was Odyssey and even that is a 6.5/10 at best
revelations was the last AC game
>past
When Ezio died.
>present
When Desmond died.
1 was the peak and black flag was decent solely because it had pirates the rest might as well not exist.

First game
black flag was the last good ac
Asscreed 2
It was all uphill until Revelations then it was a straight fall from that point on. There was a dead cat bounce with Black Flag.
after the first one when they dumbed down the plot really fricking hard
The only good ass creed games are Black Flag, Odyssey and Valhalla 1v1 me irl
Zoomer homosexual
AC3. Everything else is contrarian nonsense.
AC4 was good, but that was a complete fluke. Everything after 3 (excluding 4) is complete garbage.

>SIR DO NOT REDEEM
what it's have to do with pajeet scammers?
Rogue is the game with the worst story.
>OI MAKE ME OWN LOOK
Whoever came up with that line must’ve been really proud of themselves.
I hated that catchphrase so much. It made him sound like cereal mascot, and he never shuts the frick up about it.
And worst protagonist
I... liked playing as a badass templar
probably the sickest drip in whole AC
North Atlantic is cool too
Then you’re a dumbass.
Shay isn’t a badass. He’s a hypocritical moron from start to finish that could’ve prevented everything if didn’t have a sub 90 IQ. He killed Ade for no reason, and has nothing to justify it.
>uglier and depressing Edward outfit with color hues that somehow, despite being red and black, don't even match
Learn how to dress.
Edward’s Templar Armor was better.
Correct
really weird way of spelling AC3 but you'll get there with more grammar lessons champ

Once they gave the First Civilization a true name, the series truly died.

It started to go decline after they killed Desmond, but it turning into Dragon Age was the last straw for me.
AC2
blackgay was fun for a bit, but its barely an AC game and the best parts of the game arent when youre being an assassin
It ended here.
After IV
>Ok, let's say you want to close the game for the day and do something else. You'd think you just pause the game and pick exit, right? Well, no. Want to know how to actually quit the game? *chugs beer* I'll show ya.

just press alt F4 you fricking plebian
when they killed desmond
Either after 3 or Origins.
When they killed Desmond off
