Laymen was kino, but I still think Ralph is one of the best reviewers on YT. Goes into lots of detail, gives the good and the bad and doesn't shy away from calling out shitty performance. I just watched the Atomic Heart review and I can see how a lot of the things that annoyed him would annoy me too. I am still interested in the game, just going to wait for a deep sale. Maybe by that point they'll release a patch to rebalance somethings.

The cohesion is pretty weird, I had to finish the theater which is a good halfway through the game before the open world stuff started to make any sense.

The game is major fanservice and the devs did a stellar job building Hogwarts and all the areas around it. It's not the most interactive world, but if you know the source material and liked it enough, I'm sure you can have fun with it. Gameplay wise, yeah it is pretty much your bog standard open world adventure but the combat is surprisingly satisfying in my opinion.

yeah you should be good, personally I am not very invested in any fantasy setting and it was still worth it for me just to explore the castle
