i thought about zerker/thief for the 4 throws you could get a turn but having a free misty step with no short rest cooldown and an invis with no cd either is too good. solo you kinda need to dip in and out of combat so you'd lose your rage too fast and you only get rage charges back on long rests and you need rage charges to frenzy throw which makes the bonus actions useless out of rage. if anything i'd go thief/way of shadow and use the bonus actions to spend my ki points more since you have 9 by level 8 and they come back every short rest. i wasn't able to get slayer form until i was leaving the mausoleum after i killed balthazar so i didn't even get to start using it but it's also crazy good if you are able to stealth and pick apart groups

when you go to withers you pick a new level 1 starting class and then you have all the xp you gained so far still so you level up again and pick everything you picked as you were leveling as well. it's honestly busted respeccing but this game is about having fun.
in a party and if you're level 8 i'd definitely do zerk 5/thief 3 and then 1 more thief for the 2nd feat then dump rest in zerk i think. it's bad to multiclass before getting your extra attack if you're doing a physical character cause that really makes them viable once enemies start getting over level 5 or 6 and they also get 2 attacks a turn
tavern brawler with displacement from brain worms and all the throw gear you get from act 1 makes you a beast for no reason. you can get weapons that return to youw hen you throw them too but im unarmed so i've just been carrying around literally 50 throwing weapons to chuck at ppl. i usually autistically pick them all up after too. i missed out on some throwing gloves and there are chest pieces i haven't been able to wear but even still, being solo and no chest piece and no weapon im still almost done with 2 acts. the game is easy if you meta it or try to frick with it but it's not sposed to be a hard game just a fun sandbox.

surprisingly the game has some moron proof breaks, both Shadowheart and Lae'zels quests are tied to the main game so you still get al the story beats with those, Aristons Master is still a part of the game's events however he gets a drifter to fill the missing spawn which goes as bad as you expect, Wyll's patron still hows up in act 3. I -think- Gale's is a full lock though out but I'm not sure yet.

Act 3 is literally unplayable, right now i'm encountered a bug which makes my PC hostile to the rest of party, resurrection doesn't helps, every camp companion is also hostile
Is this something with hardware? Cause I have been playing around with two PCs, one that is right on the marks for the minimum, with a slight GPU upgrade swap I do with it and then my main PC that hits all the recommended settings, with the same save I get really different glitches on the 7yo minimum requirements toaster. It's doing all kinds of weird shit in act 3 from characters and NPCs getting glitched nude to random hostile encounters with no warning, to loading me to camp when the save was made in the city. The one that meets recommenced requirements hasn't had anything big yet sort of what happens to everyone in all the acts which is usually some cutscene scripts not executing right or companions confused on relationship status.
If anyone has the recommended stats or better and is having the issues laid out for the toaster I'd love you to share them an a bit of your specs because this game is starting to feel like tone down version of Cyberpunk 2077 optimization mess but just mostly in the last act.

The narrative around this game is that it’s complete on release. There are some areas where it’s lacking around the edges and hopefully they will patch in more content for non-origin companions, but overall this is antithetical to the live service model.

Yes. Use the mod for auto buffs and/or lower the difficulty. Pathfinder WotR is the closest to BG3.
Wrath would honestly ward off a lot of the people playing BG3 because there are some enemies that are just stupidly overtuned and require some finesse and pure luck, even early on.
I saw people complaining how it's too hard on normal-core. They should just lower the difficulty, nothing wrong with doing that tbh.
Honestly, part of it is just how enemies are poorly balanced early on and you don't have much in the way of reliable (de)buffs, and some of it is people refusing to use CC spells.
Core is definitely for people willing to get autistic and learn, so there's no shame in just playing on normal.
The problem with Wrath's difficulty is that it is purely a numbers game. High difficulty = excessively bloated stats, forcing you to use every possible buff just to get a 25% hit rate on a damage sponge. There are no environmental variables to get an advantage, and every fight plays nearly the exact same.
It's the fact that WotR sucker-punches people with its difficulty. If you're a normie CRPG player and pick "Normal" it feels like you've been cheated to encounter a CR9 Vrock w/four +16 to-hit attacks, auto AoE stun, Mirror Image and 27 AC on your L3 party of light-weight spellcasters three hours into the game. Most people who come from something like the old Infinity Engine games or a Larian game aren't going to be assuming that nearly ever encounter is going to require running a full-stack set of buffs to avoid having your frontline decimated in a single round. This gets even worse when you consider that it's fairly easy to encounter a semi-permanent debuff in Act I that severely nerfs your character (level drain from the closet Succubus, stat drain from disease/centipedes/Shades/Death's Door mechanic). Finally, WotR has a lot of time sensitive content in it, so on top of the unusually high difficulty curve, it penalizes the player if they try to play it safe and bide their time.
These are things that basically are going to affect the player on anything above Story Mode, and most players, even casual players, will recognize that Story Mode is enough of a deviation from the intended design philosophy of the developers that it's "disrespectful" to the developers. For most people, they would rather not play the game than lower the difficulty all the way to what is ostensibly "Mode for Little Babies". WotR is hard enough that even "Normal" definitely isn't "Baby Mode". It's sadistically difficult at times (Regill's Gargoyle Cave *cough*).
I've seen a lot of people quit because of the optional water elemental fight in the prologue
Water Ele isn't even close to the hardest fight in the game, so even people who kill it are still in for a lot of suffering. Garg Cave is the real filter, IMO. Only about 15% of players generally bypass it, if you go by Steam achievements, and the vast majority of the player base plays the game on Normal.

There's a fatass water elemental in the basement, and you don't have much in the way of resisting its attacks, which are very likely to hit and even one-shot most of your party. I don't remember the reward being worth it, besides some early xp.

I really hate the circlejerk around Larian. Act 3 runs like complete ass because they had to shit out this turd a month early to avoid competing with Starfield and they straight up lied about act 3 content mere weeks before launch, they don't deserve any of this hype.

Is it actually worth getting right now? It seems from what I am reading to be very buggy and unfinished in the latter part of the game and is likely to receive a significant overhaul through a patch or enhanced edition (like every other Larian game) so would it be better to just wait until it can be got cheaper and with more polish?
The bugs start kicking in as soon as the latter half of Act 1, and get exponentially worse as you go

I tried playing DivOS1 but found it lacking in terms of customization compared to what I have seen in previews of this game, which is a big selling point for me because I love games with a good character creator.

The core of the game is fine. Only bugs I really noticed were in act 3 with some of the side stories.
I got it because Larian said they are not making additional content for it. That's the product and i doubt it will go on sale anytime soon, like Elden Ring. I don't see much point in waiting, played for 40h and nothing breaking.

There won't be an Enhanced Edition. Larian has stated repeatedly, post pre-launch and post-launch, that there won't be any expansions, DLC, or additional content. The game is feature complete. I'm just waiting until September for the critical patches to roll out.
