Personally I prefer Emerald, but with Platinum, HGSS, the Ranger and Mystery Dungeon games Gen 4 is objectively the best generation.
I don't think this is up for debate even at this point. Gen 4 was incredibly strong as a package. If battle revolution was a bit better I would say it would be almost impossible to dethrone
I wish Battle Revolution was a Colosseum/XD style game instead of just being 3D battle tower
But yes gen 4 was the peak, even in terms of the movies, the Lucario and Darkrai ones are just better than the others

Emerald has like, two glitches that make it gen 1 tier through subglitches. If you remove the battle tower partial save and the pomeg berry HP rounding error it has pretty much no major glitches, at least not any that are currently documented

Natures are cringe and the lack of reference to Kanto/Johto is based, but otherwise you're mostly on the money. For all its faults, I think Hoenn will always be my favorite. I feel like it had the most love and effort put into it.

Who cares cooldown movies blow ass outside gen 1. Better idea would be buff the moves to work like gen 1 hyperbeam and have them go off whichever stat is higher
