Nah, this is cringe and the single biggest mistake in all of Pokémon.
Pokémon are meant to be yokai - supernatural beings that can't be produced en-masse. They were never meant to be animals you could breed like on a fricking farm. Ghosts don't have sex and produce baby ghosts. This fundamental mistake has ruined the understanding of what Pokémon are, and devalued the individual.

This is based though, outside the odd gem we really don’t need waves and waves of increasingly more forgettable pokemon. Develop what’s already there, make finding and training them funner, give them more variations, and only introduce a few dozen of the best new ideas instead of rehashing the same archetypes over and over.
