it says in game that if you don't eat you will lose HP but nothing is happening
you only lose weight but it has no consequences other than your character running faster lol

im 100% SA every year almost since its been released and it never happened to me
wrong, just use the speed up time cheat and you'll see
you start getting skinny and when fat is depleted you you start losing muscle and HP until you die.

you are probably confusing it with the fat prompt that says you'll risk a heart attack if you keep getting fatter, which is simply not a thing

What happens is first CJ loses all of his fat, then all of his muscle, and then it starts eating away at his health. It takes for ever to start losing health. And if you save, it resets the ‘hunger’ timer.
Saving resets the hunger counter, so it's not a big deal.
hunger system does work and its very easy to manage. if your fat is 0% you start losing muscles when running and swimming. i always keep my fat at 10-15%. cj only has to eat once a week that way

I did kinda hate how the nurse GF wanted min fat max muscle and the cop GF wanted the exact opposite
I just maxed out my relationship with nurse GF and made sure I died whenever the cops were after me so I'd never lose my weapons and ammo
Beat the story makes it feel like nothing else to do but thank you for posting this, it's a good checklist for me to go back to do stuff.

also gang missions are not that fun either, its fun for the first few times, but later its boring and the only good thing you get out of it is free AK-47 and ammo

This was the biggest pain in the ass challenge in the entire game. I had to use the timer glitch and it still took me 10 minutes to complete.
I bet you didn't know that tapping the button to "stand up" on the bike makes it go faster
yeah there's so much content in the game
San Andreas is simply THE BEST GTA in the series
it has so much things to do
decent story with many fun characters, some of tragic, some of comedy, but most importantly despite all this shit happening you know it's just satire and you don't have to take it seriously
it has the best radio stations next to VC
so much fun to do beside main missions, just like in OP's post mentioned and many fun mechanics to play around
RDR2 was going into right direction with all these RPG mechanics, side missions and activities, collecting stuff etc. etc. and that's how GTA V should have been made. it took few years to make GTA V after IV, but it was still too rushed and didn't have enough content, GTA V was close to perfection if only they made more side activities and expanded RPG mechanics a little bit
