Yeah, but I'll play devil's advocate and say what they probably mean is that, generally, men are often far less selective than woman (especially these days), so being single in your 30's and being bitter about it would suggest that you're either not trying at all or you're turning down all the men who attempt to hit it off with you for one reason or another. No one should blame anyone for not being attracted to them, but with men, they can be rejected for simply not having the right zodiac sign (which is kind of a blessing in disguise) but all that will stop a woman from dating is either being horrifically deformed, or desiring only men out of their league and not reciprocating anyone's advancements who don't fit a specific criteria.
From my own side of things, I'd say men should definitely blame themselves for their loneliness if they have no social lives, responsibilities, or sense of independence, but woman tend to be awful at measuring their own worth and expect too much from their partners while usually offering very little in return.
