        who ever was in charge of perspective in this game was a fricking moron.
        the 3D becground is a radically different angle from the character. they completely fricked it.

        Shantae HGH does this look way better.

                Psychological projection is about feelings about yourself you don't want to confront. Me thinking you have bad taste is an opinion, not a feeling.               There is no real difference between rotoscoped 3D and real 3D in games if the camera is static unless you do some major frame editing or frick with the framerate to make something that moves in a new way. The whole point of the thread is that just drawing sprites always makes them feel flat and slide-y whereas pixel art feels locked in and real, but tracing 3D is a copout to finding a real solution (2D sprites that feel like part of the world like pixel sprites).

        Yes. The game feels like it was intended to be much longer with a huge story but everything had to be cut short and was thrown together in the last minute. There are a bunch of weird and out of place narrative changes.

        >suddenly enter a somewhat modern city where everyone is on drugs
        >local big bad is an ugly bastard - one of your main team member (Thorani), a super hot, waterbender, healer, surrogate mom, once deity was close to
        >said surrogate mom is also playing for both teams and disturbingly fond of you (Ajna) - who could be her daughter
        >but the actual big bad is an insane metal bird who kills the previous big bad after you beat him then you have to come back and beat him again only to see how he kills himself
        This is just a little fraction of the story.

          I agree, what sucks for me in the game is that the only person who seem to care that Ajna is fricking things up are Dhar and iirc Zebei, you have like 20+ people being around to witness all the shitty things that Ajna does and only like 4 have something to say about it, and only 1 or 2 of those 4 say it's bad.

    The art skill and general style are there, and I like Ganker theoretically miles above Ganker stuff but Ganker stuff usually has no good artists, or sadly in this case its ruined with wokeslop designs, so it ends up losing to japshit.

    Okay, lets break this down. Because Indivisible deserved to fail, and it did. So lets point at why.

    First off. Artstyle is inconsistent. Easy issue to notice, there's too many designs that clash and blatently unfinished assets thrown in. If Skullgirls pull this sort of shit, it would of suffered too.

    2. Tumblr shit. Straight up there were several designs that immediately broke immersion, or were straight up tumblr homosexualry embodied. Skullgirls dipped it's toes in, but generally speaking it was outside the game or very much a side character that you weren't seeing very often. Like maybe 1-2 slides at most. While here you just get them thrown at you.
    And their dialogue fricking sucks. Their design sucks, and it fricks with the game actively.

    3. Godawful writing. It's an rpg. Or something. But the writing is piss poor, it's just terrible. It feels like Wakfu if it was dropped on it's head and hasn't got a strong focused core to carry on. From the team that made Skullgirls, it's shocking how much of a downgrade it was.

    4. The biggest issue. The gameplay sucks. Too many ideas, not enough focus. And the core gameplay was terrible. In battle, they wanted a fighting game like reactive move system mixed in with an RPG system. But instead of achieving either, they achieved none and the gameplay is not only brain dead, it's boring as you just press a button and do damage.
    Overworld had low end metroidvania mechanics.
    And that's about it.

    Game suffered from extreme scope creep, and a lack of focus. And too many compromises from everyone involved in a desperate bid to try and make money after getting fricked over by a previous publisher.

    This game failing is directly what led to Mike Z getting Caesar'd.

      I didn't know about this but I was thinking the same when I was playing it. Shame because I really grow fond of a handful of characters, especially Ajna and I really liked the voice acting too. The npcs were backers or something? Their design felt like someone made up. A bunch of abilities felt too much (like two dashes? really?) I think they could have done way more with less. When I accidentally dash spear jumped and realized it carries over the dash transformation I felt really cool only to realise there will be a dedicated movie for it later.
      Still I had dirty fantasies about Ajna and Thorani so I remember to it somewhat fondly. Clunky indie projects is my dirty pleasure.
