Playing open world game can be a satisfying experience, even the biggest ones can menage to create interesting approaches for the player.
And others are more focused on the creation of the atmosphere. For creating a sort of comfy journey to live in a good mood and with a nice final reception
Rockstar open worlds just don't do it for me anymore; I played 20 minutes of RDR2, stopped and then never touched it again. All that was going through my head was "I've played this exact same thing for hundreds of hours already, why bother?"
TW3 is the only one I've beat.
It arguably has the worst gameplay of the four, but the setting just scratches a very specific itch, it has fun sidequests and Geralt is just a fun lad.
I know I'll probably like ER a lot, but I'm yet to beat DaS3 and I'm kinda burnt out on Souls games as of now.
RDR2 is technically the best one, but its missions are hot garbage, it's a godly cowboy simulator though.
RDR 2 open world is just a backdrop to the story, all of the curios you find looking off the beaten path aren't worth it
ER open world is actually an important part of the gameplay loop and encourages players to search every nook and cranny
Haven't played FFXVI
Witcher 3 open world is filled with endless quest marks, which always turn out to be a lackluster monster den or a treasure chest. Most of the main meat of the story you are guided through and won't miss much by ignoring the open world of the game altogether
Haven't played FF, but between the other three probably ER? Maybe RDR2? Favorite game out of those is definitely ER, but I don't think any of them use their open world well. Pretty much every Bethesda game, even FO76, has an open world that mogs all of these.
I hated RDR2 because of its pacing and god fricking awful long ass animations.
Plus, just like Witcher 3 , the open-world is useless, you just have to follow some trail and do as the game says.
I didn't played FF15, seemed unfinished back then, seems like a mess today.
Elden Ring was cool, but I got bored halfway, and I didn't find the courage to even start another run/build.
I wouldn't recommand any of those games, they're trash. Play BOTW or Skyrim instead.
Rdr2 is fun to mess around in the open world but is otherwise not very good. Story missions sucked and while the story wasn't bad for a video game, the story telling was bad.
Elden Ring plays like an mmo, hated it. Fromsoft games have good level design and they threw it out for generic open world garbage.
Final Fantasy 15 was actually pretty comfy despite the gameplay sucking, until the open world closes off and it becomes a corridor mess for the rest of the game.
Haven't played the Witcher 3 but I have friends that swear by it.
I guess Rdr2 was my favorite, I played it the most out of them. Ff15 was pretty sweet the first 20-30 hours but it again it stops being an open world exploration game half way through.
I wouldn't play any of them again though, play dying light, mgsv, prototype, fnv, saints row2 , botw or any other open world game instead. There's so many open world games, you can do better than these 4.
Of those I've only played the witcher 3 and really liked it. I got RDR2 on sale but is intimidating to start honestly because of how big it is. ER is kind of intimidating too because I've never played a From game. Is FF15 any good? Only played the SNES ones and a little bit of 12
Yes
Final Fantasy 15 is a pretty great open world game.
(actually the most comfy I've ever played)
And it's in my Top3 of the best Final Fantasy games.
You can give it a fair chance, especially with the Royal Edition or the Windows Edition of the game
elden ring, i dont think you can even die in the other games
RDR 2, the rest are hot garbage.
ER is the one for me. I'll probably never play any Eurojank game or weeb shit and RDR2 was disappointing.

Because Rockstar started their route with GT4 and L.A. Noire
But they still menage to be cool

Definitely the most comfy of these 4
Elden Ring > X > Witcher 3

f76 is bad jank and soulless

red dead > elding > ffxv = w3
i actually completed red dead, gave up on elding
and quit ffxv and w3 due to boredom
Xenoblade X, I didn’t care for any of the 4 in that pic.
I understand this sentiment
After all everyone's have their personal taste, after all
They are actually pretty great games the 4 games posted by the OP
Outer wilds
Witness
Minecraft
Factorio
