I don't know what defenses you have or if that 60k is after selling everything, but 60k on T3 is a really low amount of money. You need to farm a lot during bosses.
Build the cheapest defense that brings you to the next tier then focus on farming. When the boss comes, sell farms if you need to build something that kills it.
You should be able to afford a 050 Dartling for T2.
NTA, but what sort of farms should I be using? I usually go for Benjamin + Banks but it doesn't seem like enough. Also, I've found that x-3-x Druid and x-x-4 Wizard tend to be very strong for their value but lack anti-MOAB power. Any advice on that front, for cheap defenses?
I like using markets for T1 and T2 because of their increased sell value since you'll probably want to sell some when the boss appears, then switching to banana central + BRF spam after I finish T2. Building a miniopolis before T1 is possible too but I wouldn't worry too much about this if you're new to bosses for now.
As for cheap defenses, for T1 I like using a trap engineer since that makes money too (014) but if you don't want to use that you can use a 130 druid and for camo a cheap ninja should do the trick, between T1 and T2 you can probably get away with just a 032 wizard and maybe adding an alch to it. If it's not enough just a middle path druid should be enoguh.
For reaching T3 a spirit of the forest alone is enough.
Also didn't specify but meant tier 3 markets before T1 and upgrading them to tier 4 for T2.
Another thing, this is specifically for maps without water.
If they have a lot of water where you can fit 21+ boats, boat farming is better but this week is not the case.

Hero boost is a thing but we don't have it, it's on tile FCD at the top of the map. As for the level 3 heroes one, it's not on this event, you can see all the available relics in the team store.

Super Monkey top path. Requires absorption of other monkeys to actually be good and its T5 used to be the best tower in the game until paragons (gohan) showed up
I actually use last targeting on Boat a lot, it helps boat to shoot down straightaways instead of hitting the track at a perpendicular angle
Sub is probably the best user of it if their sightlines cross multiple paths since they'll target the entrance but hit whatever bloon comes in front of them from across the map
I've rarely used it on sniper but last targeting is almost comparable to strong targeting since the strongest bloons tend to be coming out of the entrance while you've already popped the further along bloons with the rest of your setup. It starts to suck when moabs show up though.
This is a very autistic use case but sometimes in boss events I used a 000 or 001 sub as a saveup for farms and putting it on last made the difference between leaking or not. On first it couldn't keep up.
It is so fricking annoying trying to get some people that actually play even a single round of contested territories if you just want to get them randomly

I really ought to try more dual-hero strategies to see what works in co-op, maybe there's some secret double T5 strategy as well. One thing we can do is join with an extra account and then leave to have a better money split to afford more expensive towers and/or have more money for Geraldo
Maybe, if we really did bring in alts it'd be wise to get strong lategame heroes like Churchill or Psi/Ezili, though we wouldn't have as much cash to work with cuz you can't donate in deflation and you get no cash per pop.

I always make the top path ace 420 or 520 because it improves the bombs, I don't know if it is better but it feels better to me.
yeah but "improves" i would hope implies a damage buff, not a relatively negligible pierce and radius buff. you aren't really getting ods or shredder for grouped moabs

I figured I'd test r98 on monkey meadow with both and see the difference. Looks pretty minimal, considering this is the absolute best case for middle path.
of course, shredder isn't even close to soloing round 98. Just figured getting a look at the total damage dealt before everything leaked gives a good idea of how strong each path is. I guess for more context I should do 500 too so you know exactly how much more you get from each upgrade
also for the record I did no ace micro but did start the round with the plane on the spot for all 3
5-2-0 is cheaper, and turning the tides in a bloon battle is an exponential affair. When the Sky Shredder is backed up by cleanup crews and other heavy hitters, that 6k makes a difference and snowballs into greater pops.

If you want to reach round 90 (I think the last camos before that are in the early 80s or 78 can't remember) you use it at the start of 48.
Whoever is doing the Camo Flogged tile (AFB), my strat for it is Ezili + Camo trap on r48 + Heli 400

I was in the middle of capturing EBB with 6 tiers and someone just captured it with 7, what was your strat? I'm doing 500 boomerang. Still not sure if it is possible to reach the tier 5 before dying though, I won't capture but I want to know if it is possible.

If placed on round 1 it goes up until round 70, and you leak around 9 white camos on that round.
If you want to reach round 90 you place it in the middle of 47 but just to make sure just wait until the start of round 48 and it will make it to 90.

I pretty much just use the same strategy for the easy/medium/hard stages and always manage to beat it, but it doesn't work for the boss stages or Impossible.
The strat rushing Pursuit Helicopter and the airplane that shits out bombs and that gets me to 80 no problem.
If you're just starting out, try watching a couple of video guides for boss. There are some differences depending on the boss and map, but most of them are similar enough for you to catch what's happening

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, bloon trojan does not see over walls I don't think? Ben needs line of sight to send it, which is great because in some maps you can hide him so he doesn't send it. A common spot is top right of in the loop.
You could place him in one of the rocks to give him line of sight, though you might be worse off for the loss of the MOAB income.

It's still a blatant nerf, making more money late game is useless when you can already have a million farms active. Money early on is way more important because that's how you snowball your economy.
Maybe he individually makes more money, but the potential money you could make thanks to him has been nerfed a lot.

What towers should i be working towards or focusing on for bosses? Especially Vortex going on now. My first attempt relied on the spike factory, which should tell you how bad i am at this game.
Spike factory is actually pretty good for bosses, the middle path specifically.
Ideally you should have the elite defender, M.A.D, Spike Storm and Sticky Bomb unlocked, as they're the best killers for early boss tiers. For paragons, having all of them is ideal, but getting the dart paragon should be priority.
The main theme of bosses is farm hard to be able to afford everything you may want by the time the boss spawns.
Have the T5 farms, specially the top path but bottom path too. Bottom path T5 village is great for farming too.
As for what to use to actually kill the boss, for T1 usually I like using a 104 ninja and if that's not enough, I add something else like a top path plane or a bottom path sniper.
For T2 I like using a T5 middle path dartling, or if that's not possible then 6 bottom path druids.
Starting from the T3 boss I try to go Paragons.

I tried using the official Bloons discord and they shitted on me because I haven't black bordered the expert maps. I was proud of myself for black bordering some intermediate maps, but those aren't considered a challenge, apparently...
CT honestly doesn't even look like a fun game mode. Looking at these threads, it seems like it is always either a cakewalk where you steamroll a bunch of shitters, or a stressful week of metagaming and babysitting.
Maybe, I dunno I've actually been liking this event quite a bit, having to actually strategize and work together to take down opponents that are better than us has been a great experience to me.
sacrifice lives to buy a shit ton of banana farms and other income producer, sell all your shit round 40 and buy a boss killer, then once the boss is dead rebuy all your farms. repeat the process every 20 rounds until you can afford paragon
Be as greedy as possible and spend as little as you can on defense, all your cash should ideally be going to farms and you should be placing them on every opportunity you have.
Just watch some boss guides, there's a handful of things you'll learn from them that you just wouldn't from playing normally.
spam farms
if you want to be super efficient your first 2 towers should be bottom path engineer and bottom path alch, after that point farms. If the map allows it, spamming merchantmen boats is also good
it looks like half of it is race tiles
then one quarter boss tiles
then the last quarter is minimizing your cash
and then your score starts degrading after 12 hours to let the shitters snipe your optimized scores and you’re just competing over the exact same challenges over and over against Dale from Bloons TD6 Reddit and his squad of troglodytes

collection events, if you get a diamond crate then each insta you earn has a small (~5% I think) of being a tier 5, and you get 2 or 3 of them from each crate, and you get 1 crate per Impoppable clear
it's nice of them to give you points from doing Dailies and Events, but 1000 points, plus 50 per crate is just way too much for anyone who isn't a no-life
I use it as a chance to get lower difficulty clears for the boosted maps. Gives some incentive to waste time doing stuff like reverse or military only for black borders.

Bottom path is actually the better one for tech terror, it adds knockback to the ability and does extra to DDTs.

010 sub is probably better if you're just using it to save up since it's got 5 pierce whereas 001 sub has 2 pierce at twice the fire rate

5-2-0 is cheaper, and turning the tides in a bloon battle is an exponential affair. When the Sky Shredder is backed up by cleanup crews and other heavy hitters, that 6k makes a difference and snowballs into greater pops.

Can't be damaged by energy, fire, or plasma-type attacks. For the Corvus mission, use his Harvest ability, or the Trample spell

I pretty much just use the same strategy for the easy/medium/hard stages and always manage to beat it, but it doesn't work for the boss stages or Impossible.
The strat rushing Pursuit Helicopter and the airplane that shits out bombs and that gets me to 80 no problem.

If you're just starting out, try watching a couple of video guides for boss. There are some differences depending on the boss and map, but most of them are similar enough for you to catch what's happening

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, bloon trojan does not see over walls I don't think? Ben needs line of sight to send it, which is great because in some maps you can hide him so he doesn't send it. A common spot is top right of in the loop.
You could place him in one of the rocks to give him line of sight, though you might be worse off for the loss of the MOAB income.

It's still a blatant nerf, making more money late game is useless when you can already have a million farms active. Money early on is way more important because that's how you snowball your economy.
Maybe he individually makes more money, but the potential money you could make thanks to him has been nerfed a lot.

What towers should i be working towards or focusing on for bosses? Especially Vortex going on now. My first attempt relied on the spike factory, which should tell you how bad i am at this game.
Spike factory is actually pretty good for bosses, the middle path specifically.
Ideally you should have the elite defender, M.A.D, Spike Storm and Sticky Bomb unlocked, as they're the best killers for early boss tiers. For paragons, having all of them is ideal, but getting the dart paragon should be priority.

Oh yeah I forgot, in that case I guess boomerang paragon would be the next best choice since it's the second cheapest after the dart paragon.
The main theme of bosses is farm hard to be able to afford everything you may want by the time the boss spawns.
Have the T5 farms, specially the top path but bottom path too. Bottom path T5 village is great for farming too.
As for what to use to actually kill the boss, for T1 usually I like using a 104 ninja and if that's not enough, I add something else like a top path plane or a bottom path sniper.
For T2 I like using a T5 middle path dartling, or if that's not possible then 6 bottom path druids.
Starting from the T3 boss I try to go Paragons.

How do I beat bosses in this game? I can't afford the good shit by the time they spawn in
sacrifice lives to buy a shit ton of banana farms and other income producer, sell all your shit round 40 and buy a boss killer, then once the boss is dead rebuy all your farms. repeat the process every 20 rounds until you can afford paragon
It's all about farming. You need the bare minimum of defense and as much money as you can make

Be as greedy as possible and spend as little as you can on defense, all your cash should ideally be going to farms and you should be placing them on every opportunity you have.
Just watch some boss guides, there's a handful of things you'll learn from them that you just wouldn't from playing normally.

if you want to be super efficient your first 2 towers should be bottom path engineer and bottom path alch, after that point farms. If the map allows it, spamming merchantmen boats is also good

i use powers in CT because you fricking have to to win when you aren't playing against shitters
CT gave me a newfound appreciation for powers, sure I'm never gonna use them in regular play but I'm not so opposed to their existence anymore.

You get on from creating a ninja kiwi account too
collection events, if you get a diamond crate then each insta you earn has a small (~5% I think) of being a tier 5, and you get 2 or 3 of them from each crate, and you get 1 crate per Impoppable clear

I usually get burned out during collection events and don't actually open that many diamond ones
it's nice of them to give you points from doing Dailies and Events, but 1000 points, plus 50 per crate is just way too much for anyone who isn't a no-life
I use it as a chance to get lower difficulty clears for the boosted maps. Gives some incentive to waste time doing stuff like reverse or military only for black borders.
It's very rare but you can get them in the diamond crates
