People like to shit on pvz2 since it's a pay to win mobile game, which is fair, but in terms of gameplay it's miles more engaging and challenging than pvz1, a shame you have to go through a bunch of emulator hoops to play it on pc.

You're playing the newer versions, right? The version most people agree to be the best is 4.5.2 which is from 2016, before they added a bunch of moronic shit like plant leveling and whatnot, though most people just play overhaul mods like Eclise (without the p) or Reflourished.

seriously, some time ago a beta for pvz3 was released and they turned it into some fricked up base building game.
Problem is: all of the people who are autistically into Bloons gameplay are all too busy to post since they're shaving miliseconds off of their race times, or optimizing farming setups for ranked bosses, or, God forbid, tryharding on consted territory.

I've seen so many of the same questions get asked over and over, there's nothing to discuss unless your a new player who just wants to know something but that doesn't carry a thread. I know it sucks to have to hold off on having these until an update comes out but if you want threads without coomers you'll just have to do that

Another brick isn't that bad since there's so much space to farm and the apache prime solos in CHIMPS, if you really wanna test your skill try one of those absurd expert maps like dark dungeon or ravine.
I just started the grind and I'm still having trouble with alternate bloon rounds on easy maps.
I got a looong way to go for completionism, and I can feel myself getting sucked in already...

Also are there really people who don't go into freeplay every time they beat a map and see how far they can get

A 402 heli is only good on single lane maps, I'd say try other things but if it works for you then keep going.
