They pile up on your profile and that's about it. If you're good enough for hard just focus more on doing those. If you wanna do apopalypse or whatever on a certain map then go for it.

I'd argue most people should be able to do hard on the easiest maps within a few tries, it makes more sense for them to try in the harder modes Because you'll learn as much if not more there because you get to go further
I started recently and playing on easier difficulties helped me get my bearings. Know which towers can do what in earlier waves, and when to expect certain bloons to show up. If I just went to hard I'd be pissed off if I reached a high wave and lost because I didn't have lead camo popping or what have you, and I don't want to spend upgrade money on expensive continues.
Big tip in case you don't know, if a round goes bad, just press escape and go out, it'll be at the start of the round and you can just swap defenses around
Collection events are a great excuse to take out the lesser difficulties on maps, Sauda + a few support towers can handle everything up to round 60 while you AFK, it gives heaps of cash and XP too

BTD6 is a 6 year old game, there's a significant amount of people whom've been playing bosses for years at this point, Ninja Kiwi knows that so every once in a while they do a few hard as frick and different boss events so they don't b***h about them being too easy, unfortunately there's also a ton of new players who then complain about bosses being too hard and difficult to get into, there's just no pleasing everyone I'm afraid.

Ben's gimmick in bosses was in the first few rounds where he made more money than Geraldo. After the changes, now it is always better to use Geraldo over him.
Despite his early-game in boss events being ruined he's pretty good for regular play now, you can afford multiple tier 5s with your only source of income being him, it's a very nice change for new and lazy players.
Oh yes not disagreeing there, I should have clarified that by "always better to use Geraldo over him" I meant in boss events specifically. And of course this is if you want to go optimal, you can use whoever you want.

If the relic's rate degrades you still get to keep it, though you do lose it once the tile goes neutral

When you capture a relic tile, you acquire the relic of that tile.
When the score degrades, even if the tile does not contribute points, you still keep the relic.
When the score degrades so much that the tile goes neutral you still keep the relic.
The only way to lose a relic is if another team captures it over you. So if it is in a secure place, don't bother recapturing just because it might go neutral.
This co-op challenge is impossible

Get a handful of jungle's bounty druids, like 4 or 5 at least, and place them around your farms, even without crosspaths they'll pop all the ceramic spawns and you'll get a ton of cash from using their abilities.

That's because you placed Geraldo in round 9. Had you placed him round 1 the figure would sell for double that amount.

You don't need to get the figure itself on round 1, what matters the round where geraldo gets the figure in his shop (at level 2). You can place him round 1, place the figure at round 10 when it costs around 1.5k and still get those benefits.

For a VTSG, usually you want your T4 temple to be primary, magic and support.
But if stopping at T4, honestly I don't know what's better. I'd say at the very least support for sure.
Also because this is coop, we each can place 5 farms. We're not limited to a total of 5 farms. Not saying we should use all of them, just mentioning we can.

Maybe. IF he got up a master bomber and boosted it with a few shinobis, +tower boost, +having a less useless hero than Obyn for his loadout, it's very likely, just because of Master Bomber's stun stalling out all the moabs near the center.
Then, since I had nothing left, he could have just countered with a ton of DDTs and killed me.
Basically what I'm saying is don't greed during all-outs.

What crosspath did you have? I'm trying a 500 solver that comes earlier and a 004 relentless right after and the relentless is able to hit the ZOMG over the solver. But when the solver expires it does not hit the bloon again.
Nvm tried myself, I guess you had a 204 relentless? That one gets fricked by a liquifier/solver. If it had been a 024 (which you should have been using anyways) it would have overridden the liqifuier.

If making a TSG or VTSG you skip military for T4.
Magic and Support are must haves if you're going for a max sacrifices temple. So the question is between military and primary imo, and I think primary is better.
Military is better if your Sun Temple is by itself, Support is better if you place other towers because the buff it gives to other towers is stronger than military sacrifice

I've played Battles 1 so I can sorta assume what's happening. Man, Moabs have way less HP in this game than in 6, huh

I gotta ask does a single one of you guys play battles 2? If you haven't tried it I really do recommend it. One of the games I can confidently say has gotten better and better with time.

The hell is a card battle? In most games I play I usually don't touch gimmick gamemodes
Card battle was an optional mode where instead of picking 3/4 towers, you make a deck of 15 cards. Each card is either a monkey/bloon card, or a power card. Playing the monkey/bloon card on your side placed the monkey, and playing it on the opponent's side sent the bloon rush. This way each card serves a dual purpose, and there's a lot of skill involved with keeping track of what's in the enemy's deck and hand
Ohh, I see. Deck building is neat, though I'm not the biggest fan of the random aspect of deck builders. Still like em, though. I wonder if that'll ever make a return

Is kind of a misnomer here. They're not better, just different. Like Ocean Obyn buffs all magic monkeys instead of just druids, and in exchange his abilities are even shittier. Cyber Quincy is literally identical except his explosive arrows are plasma instead. I don't even know what Scientist Gwendolin does because v the regular one is perma-toptier
All I know is that by the time I unlocked Snow Fusty they nerfed the strategy he was involved in and then Sentai was the new meta and I just said frick it and kept using regular Quincy forever.
Snow fusty stocks are up this last update, though he's a little buggy with Icicles so maybe wait for a hot fix.
These days strats are very map dependent, and you can get away with using most heros of you build right.

A fair amount of TD games I've played are more like puzzle games, while Bloons is a lot more open-ended. Not to mention the sheer amount of choice you have between all the towers and upgrades, especially in BTD6
Most TD games have health bars to defeat an enemy. Bloons is a little different where popping one bloon is just one layer, or more depending on upgrades and tower type.
Personally I think this novelty was helpful in making sure NinjaKiwi would not give up on their little TD game, and continue producing Bloons games. As for why no other TD game can compete, well, they must've just stopped trying. And now nothing nowadays will hold any legacy value.
