I hate this picture. It isn't inherently wrong (I hate my government but have 0 means to fight back. Can't even try to boycott cause I am force to give them money via taxes under personality of jail or worse). But the homosexuals who spam this comment everyone are neoliberal champagne """"communists""" (or maybe they call themselves socialists or anarchists instead sometimes) that go on about how we need to smash capitalism but they buy shittons of Starbucks coffee, Warhammer figurines, online game microtransations, boglins etc. And when you point this out they spam this picture at you.
The evil, right-wing, pedo(people who like anime, while they want to advocate for "ethical CP"), "christians"(aka people who think men and white people are inherently evil or thinks oppressing them as payback for past impression is desirable) are working real jobs that even allow their lives to be possible. The people who do manual labor (both skilled and unskilled) that for some reason they don't consider as part of the working class, are what provide their ability to even have HVAC, Internet, a roof vore their head, and all their shitty plastic crap while they rage at rich CEOs who are actually other, richer members of their own party.

I think the comic actually means the people who whine the most are offten the people who are the most well off and as well can't be bothered to chnage their daily habbits to help said people.
I mean really now? How many urbanites constantly whine about social issues while acting with utter contempt towards the less fortunate who live dirt poor in rural areas because they vote differently then them?
Even worst is that these people act like they're revolutionaries when they more act like old urban aristocrats who act like they're entirely above all the rural flyover peasants.

Contrary to the idea of Spanish gold. Spain never received a surplus amount of gold. It wasn't until the mid 16th century that Spain discovered large deposits of silver in Peru, Mexico and Bolivia. These deposits largely fueled a wave of trade in china. The escudo or the gold coins were very rarely minted because gold was not the greatest deposit found- silver was. Silver coins were struck making the price of currency cheaper. Thus driving the gold prices up. Inflation was due to the surplus of silver not gold.

          >no need to become a leftist
Left vs Right ain't real it's actually; Collectivism(socialism/communism) vs absolutism(Feudalism/Monarchism) vs Individualism (Democracy/Republicanism). Absolutism is not something I like but it's at least functional and got civilization started in the first place. I'm sure everyone who comes to Ganker to b***h about whatever is well aware of the problems Individualism but nonetheless enjoy its benefits (free enterprise and expression). Collectivists are just rich morons who project their privileged guilt at everyone and are the tools for legit evil who want to bring us to a godless Neo-feudism dystopia. A complete failure of an ideology that can only leech off the successes the other two bring into the world.

But it is. The people who get told to change their habits if they actually care about their virtue signaling absolutely have the power to do so. Absolutely nobody is forcing them to be terminal consoomers who support exploiting those less fortunate than them and destroying the environment as much as they do. Common excuse for those that end up on a surgery table and can't deal with the shame of admitting they stuck it up there.

90% of the world's population is completely moronic, especially when it comes to technology. Unless you actually work in a technical field you should be able to trick your coworker into believing it. Pressing you about why your profile is private in the first place is a b***h move in the first place.

It's good if they don't ask the reason behind a private profile, but claiming you don't know how to fix it seems stupid. I don't see harm in just saying that you don't want people snooping.

    Try this experiment.
1 week, go invisible status on discord/steam.
Say absolutely nothing in all of the servers you are in, don't send anyone a message, don't post any comments.
Nobody is going to mention you or message you unless they want something from you or they want you to do something for them.
You will then realize the crushing reality that none of the people you talk to are you real friends.
Accept this reality and have a nice day.

I've met some pretty cool people on Ganker from the old steam friend threads. But we were really bad at keeping in touch. We'd play together once or maybe twice and then we'd both go radio silent. That's pretty much been my experience with Ganker-goers outside of the annoying /misc/tards spewing frogs and wojaks all the time, but those were surprisingly rare and easy to filter from their profile pictures.

I find it hard to maintain more than like, 5 quality friendships at a time so it's definitely my fault in some way.

What kind of filter procedure do you have for profile pictures? I've had mine since I made my account, never really bothered to change it

I don't accept people with political profile pictures of any kind. Left or right, because chances are that means they're an obnoxious person in general. Memes are also a no thanks, so Wojaks, Pepes, Lolcows like Chris Chan or DSP, Doge pictures, Garry's Mod meme faces. Also I've never really had much luck with people that use IRL pictures for their profiles on gaming sites so I avoid those too. Anime and furries can be 50/50, I usually have to look at the profile itself. If they're cool they (mostly) have a minimal page. If they have a book long essay about who they are, some fruity custom shit like emojis or some expensive background, they out themselves as complete gays immediately.

I haven't been chatting with people on steam for like five years now. If I play games with friends we organise it outside of steam. Anybody else here that was relatively normal until puberty? I had a lot of friends up until that point, but around puberty (and I had a very late puberty) I became paranoid, started shutting myself in, stopped talking to people, started ignoring my friends.

Either turn off the beeps and notifications if they’re spamming you, ask them politely to stop with the spam, or remove them.

i also turn off chat and vc in every game i play. frick you i have friends. im not trying to make more on a shitty video game just so i can be bothered every time i log on. i dont play games for the social element i play them to escape from society. i dont need constant engagement. noone should. its unhealthy.

I go invisible when working and come online when I'm done. I don't bother to close out Steam.

The fact that this thread is full of people who can’t understand or respect the idea of ”do not disturb” mode is the reason why I only use Steam to play and communicate with a close circle of friends, never with any random clingy, attention-starved autists from Ganker.
