The evil, right-wing, pedo(people who like anime, while they want to advocate for "ethical CP"), "christians"(aka people who think men and white people are inherently evil or thinks oppressing them as payback for past impression is desirable) are working real jobs that even allow their lives to be possible. I think the comic actually means the people who whine the most are offten the people who are the most well off and as well can't be bothered to chnage their daily habbits to help said people.

Even worst is that these people act like they're revolutionaries when they more act like old urban aristocrats who act like they're entirely above all the rural flyover peasants.

Contrary to the idea of Spanish gold. Spain never received a surplus amount of gold. It wasn't until the mid 16th century that Spain discovered large deposits of silver in Peru, Mexico and Bolivia. These deposits largely fueled a wave of trade in china. The escudo or the gold coins were very rarely minted because gold was not the greatest deposit found- silver was. Silver coins were struck making the price of currency cheaper. Thus driving the gold prices up. Inflation was due to the surplus of silver not gold.

His argument is so ass backwards. It’s more like he thinks he’d do fricking important that you must every so often pay the tax and grace him with your presence.
This. That reeks of "I've been hyper analyzing your profile and did the math on your playtime and know you appear offline"

>>bro, come out of invisibility mode 😀
Who the frick asks this?
I've been in groups with friends who like to be in invisible mode and sometimes like to do it myself.
Literally never seen or been asked to come out of it.
It wouldn't happen anyway, because I am actually offline and not just invisible. This is specifically to avoid people trying to talk to me when I'm playing games. Anyone I actually know and like has other ways of contacting me where I'll actually respond, anyway.
>some people put their literal IRL names and intagram pictures in their steam bio
And people sometimes think im weird because i dont use netflix and iphone.
I don't understand using steam and having a friend lists where you actually add people and then using the features to hide from all those said people. Never used it and never will.
So you didn't add them, they added you (which you accepted??), and also your real life friends that you don't want to interact with found your profile how?
If your ass notices somebody using the “I want to talk to people so little I’m pretending I’m not even here” function and respond by trying to talk to them, you’re getting blocked. No questions asked.
>friend at work talks about game we both play >friend at work asks me for my steam account >I make a new account and buy the same game a second time instead of using my main account
Common excuse for those that end up on a surgery table and can't deal with the shame of admitting they stuck it up there.
90% of the world's population is completely moronic, especially when it comes to technology. Unless you actually work in a technical field you should be able to trick your coworker into believing it. Pressing you about why your profile is private in the first place is a b***h move in the first place.
It's good if they don't ask the reason behind a private profile, but claiming you don't know how to fix it seems stupid. I don't see harm in just saying that you don't want people snooping.

the truth

I had this with a mother of a chinese kid in my class when I was 12. I only had him as a friend for that one year. It's 24 years later now and I've been eating at the restaurant she waitresses at 4 times a year for the last 10 years. She keeps updating me about her son, who I haven't seen in decades.
Recently I made a chinese friend at the library and he was his cousin. Strange stuff.
Honestly I'd be fricking happy, because I have 20 people in my friendlist, and no one ever bothered to talk to me in the past 3 years, neither did I so I wonder if they even remember me
I only use the Steam friends function to send invites to game lobbies and such. I don't use it for actual communication, since all of my buddies I play with are on IRC.
I'm afraid that people from high school times will write to me
I'm afraid to have to tell them that I'm still living at home in my 30s and life is still identical to how it was when we were 17, sitting inside being fricking losers doing nothing but playing games and browsing the internet. I don't want to have this conversation so I stay offline
I wonder how many people have avoided talking to me while being invisible and how many friends I've not made. But then, if they wanted to be friends they'd have messaged anyway.
dude, turn your status to online. You might be surprised by what happens, or maybe not, but you certainly won't find out until you try. The worst that can happen is things staying the same as they always have been.
I uninstalled the steam. I'm even pirating the games I already own. I just want to access my games. I don't want to see ads everytime I launch the steam or be a part of social media homosexualry of steam.
The only people I have added are 3 or 4 people I met 10 years ago, back when I thought Steam could replace any of the other social media platforms available at the time.
Every steam friend i made, (irl friends excluded) turned out to be a schizo. Randoms i met in games, Gankertards, even friends of friends.
Everyone that uses Steam as a social platform or as their main chat service turned out to be a sociopath.
That's why i do a clearing of these so called steam friends every year and thinking of it, it's almost time for another one soon.
My longest friend was some dude I met playing dota. He was the only decent player and human being I had ever seen and we just started playing everything together. Cant believe in like 15+ years of playing online I have found a whopping one I can stand actually being in communication with for longer then 10mins of my life.
The most surprising thing on your story is that from all the places of the internet, you met a decent being in fricking DotA...
It's like winning the lottery.
Yes I am extremely lucky we have also played like every multiplayer game on the planet together which is sick. I sometimes bemoan the fact I basically have one friend on this earth but looking not only on this place but on other sites and even IRL I should actually consider myself extremely lucky and in a privileged minority. And if your curious while we both play most of the cast both in 1 and 2 and we havent played either in a good long wile my favorite hero is rubick and he likes tiny. No free guesses to the amount of times we have cliffed/thrown each other into the opposing team.
>have a lot of fun playing some game >get invited to a clan because I play one their server a lot >play with them for years >one day clan leader suddenly dies in his sleep >never touch that game ever again
Still miss you, old dog.
My one friend is always invisible and I always just send him messages and he always responds. Hes not avoiding me but it can make it mildly difficult to tell when hes there and not just asleep.
>friend I haven't talked to on steam for years suddenly messages me out of the blue
frick off homosexual, if you wanted human interaction you should've been more communicative in the first place
I don't keep anyone on my list if they're obnoxious
don't ask me about my sleep schedule either, just mind your own business and be pleasant it's really not that hard
Try this experiment.
1 week, go invisible status on discord/steam.
Say absolutely nothing in all of the servers you are in, don't send anyone a message, don't post any comments.
Nobody is going to mention you or message you unless they want something from you or they want you to do something for them.
You will then realize the crushing reality that none of the people you talk to are you real friends.
Accept this reality and have a nice day.
I did that due to irl issues, had 3 people send me messages asking where I am and saying they hope I'm ok
the reason this happens to you is because you are unlikeable and you seek friends in the wrong places. hint: Gankereddit isn't a good place to get friends, the people here are garbage.
I don't. I'm on steam to play a game not chat. and I don't want to play your bullshit MOBA or asynchronous multiplayer game. you're not interesting. you're not fun. you're a homosexual and I don't know why I tolerate you.
Reminder that if you have ever cared that one of your friends was pretending to be offline, you are probably the reason they're pretending to be offline
>have over one hundre steam friends and actively play games in online mode for several hours a day >none of them message me but they all hang out with each other
if someone is trying to find friends so hard on Ganker of all places, they likely have no friends for very good reasons
if you need proof of this, just go on /soc/, truly, naught but life unworthy of living
I've met some pretty cool people on Ganker from the old steam friend threads. But we were really bad at keeping in touch. We'd play together once or maybe twice and then we'd both go radio silent. That's pretty much been my experience with Ganker-goers outside of the annoying /misc/tards spewing frogs and wojaks all the time, but those were surprisingly rare and easy to filter from their profile pictures.
I find it hard to maintain more than like, 5 quality friendships at a time so it's definitely my fault in some way.
What kind of filter procedure do you have for profile pictures? I've had mine since I made my account, never really bothered to change it
I don't accept people with political profile pictures of any kind. Left or right, because chances are that means they're an obnoxious person in general. Memes are also a no thanks, so Wojaks, Pepes, Lolcows like Chris Chan or DSP, Doge pictures, Garry's Mod meme faces. Also I've never really had much luck with people that use IRL pictures for their profiles on gaming sites so I avoid those too. Anime and furries can be 50/50, I usually have to look at the profile itself. If they're cool they (mostly) have a minimal page. If they have a book long essay about who they are, some fruity custom shit like emojis or some expensive background, they out themselves as complete gays immediately.

You seem sad. arbitrarily shutting out so many potential friends
Friend A >Hey bro why are you on invis all the time? >Haha no worries, I can't be bothered to play X with B dude >oh ok
Friend B >Hey bro why are you on invis all the time? >Haha no worries, I can't be bothered to play Y with A dude again
I can't be the only one who does this
Reminder that the anti invisible mode psyop happening on Ganker lately is made by discord trannies upset that their vrchat boyfriend ghosted them by using invisible mode. Look it up.
It’s still weird. If you have a reason to do it and a “friend” asks, just tell them.
Or keep making excuses why you are continuously in an offline mode to confuse the people on your “friend list” when you could just turn off. Otifications if they bother you.
i have never understood why people even use that shit. if youre not in the mood to socialize then just dont. you dont have respond to messages if you dont feel like it. people that use invisibility on discord that i know are always using it for the b***hiest of reasons like not wanting to say no to some guy asking to come play games. instead they go invisible altogether to avoid saying no like a normal functioning human that can communicate their feelings honestly. how much of a beta b***h do you have to be to hide like this
>turn on visibility after 4 months >steam friend group asks me whats up >tell them i don't have the energy to talk to anyone, have been antisocial for the past 4 months and that I will turn it off again later, nothing personnel >ok anon take care
>playing mp game on solo queue >irl friend connects >bro I sent you like 5 invites and 2 messages to play X game >yeah I saw them, I just don’t like talking while playing maybe next time >next time >ignore them again
I can vouch from having used offline mode to avoid pestering someone with my constant disconnections in games popping the notification that I was playing game over and over that offline mode actually isolates a fella and would not recommend that life
I haven't been chatting with people on steam for like five years now. If I play games with friends we organise it outside of steam. Growing up makes you realise that the friendships you make online are for the most part shallow, especially if you're all lonely nerds, and that it's better to just focus on your real life instead.
If you hide your online status in any program that allows you to, you are a pussy and don't deserve the attention and effort that the people who you are hiding from are putting in to interact with you.
I haven't been in invisibility mode
I haven't been on discord in months
I haven't been on steam in months
I haven't even played a game in months
I don't know what's going on anymore
>be visible >start hentai game(kamidori) >friends see it >they google it >have a good laught at the censored CGi >laugh with them >.... >go private/invisible and never put it off
Stop trying to stalk me online and just ask questions like a normal person. I don't want to broadcast what I'm doing all the time you codependent frick.
>be me >fixing my VR setup >restarting VR every couple minutes >5 apps that start every time I restart >anon has started playing steamVR >anon started playing OVR advanced settings >anon started playing XSoverlay >anon started playing fpsVR >anon started playing LIV
Yeah I go on invisible mode when I'm using VR
Anybody else here that was relatively normal until puberty? I had a lot of friends up until that point, but around puberty (and I had a very late puberty) I became paranoid, started shutting myself in, stopped talking to people, started ignoring my friends.
It just never got better, I never faced my demons or fears or whatever, I never did anything about it. It's been over 10 years since I heard from any of my old friends now, 2009 was the last time I hung out with somebody.
I've gone around to plenty, it always ends the same. I talk, I tell them my shitty uninteresting life story and they give me some tips on what to do
I don't care, I never do anything because deep down I guess I must not want any of it or I'd change, but I don't. I'm either just a massive coward or too broken to do anything about it
I turn 31 in a week, who turns their life around at this point? we are what we are
Don't know how it works in your country but getting a diagnosis is step one before you can improve. You might need meds or specialized therapy, just getting general life advice isn't worth shit
Find a psychiatrist that can diagnose mental disorders
>Go to a therapist
Imagine still believing therapy does anything in 2022, bro it's a fricking scam not to mention they're usually woman, they simply cannot fathom not talking to anyone for days at a time let alone weeks or months
I never use invisible, I am either online when my PC is turned on, or I am offline when my PC is turned off. The same goes for any platform as I refuse to use a mobile phone.
>nobody to chat with >nobody to share achievements with >nobody to discuss vidya with
Idk seems kind of lonely
but if that isn't a problem with you all the more power to you
>play with friends >they fire up the game while invisible >cannot invite offline players into a lobby >have to point it out to them every single time
Holy frick if you're going to be autistic either join on my lobby yourself or come online when you boot up a game to play with others. FRICK.
I only use invisibility mode when i want to procastinate doing something impprtant instead of playing games. You guys REALLY dont use it to avoid your friends do you?
i will remain inviso-bill as long as i want and there's nothing you fricks can do about it, maybe you should reflect on why the frick you're always online
I've been in invisibility for over a year. I'm pretending to be dead.
Honestly I had no plan for what's next. It'd be so awkward to just reappear suddenly.
Why not just say you were set to invisible? At worst, they'll be offended and won't talk to you again. Which is highly unlikely, but also means that nothing has changed in either of your daily lives.
I have some friend groups that I dip outnof for 6 months at a time. When i come back I' m just really happy to talk to them qgain and its vice versa. If they ask just say you were busy or occupied.
I don't like the assumption that I always want to talk with people or play with them just because I'm 'online'
It's so fricking annoying when you start a singleplayer game and some homosexual start sending you messages like "what up bro?"
What do you think is 'up', I'm playing a singleplayer game you fricking moron, I don't wanna message with your right now. Just directly say what you want instead of this frustrating small-talk dance I thought I would be able to avoid by dealing with people online, ask me if wanna play<GAME> and if I'm interested right now instead, And for gods sake, accept I might not want that right now, don't b***h like a little girl because I'm not doing what YOU want all the time.
God people are homosexuals sometimes.
While I agree being bugged in a SP game is annoying as frick, some people just want to say something while they’re offline.
8f they actually ask you to stop playing your game and to play (inane multiplayer moba arena battle royals homosexual game that’s indistinguishable from a gacha game), then yeah, that’s idiotic and selfish.
I don’t because I’m not a moron who does this.
Either turn off the beeps and notifications if they’re spamming you, ask them politely to stop with the spam, or remove them.
>guy adds me over a forum post i made criticizing devs >greets me next day, have a nice talk with him for hours, we share common interests. >Over 6 months since then, never talked to me again. >Always invisible
Meh.
Most people are boring buttholes. He was excited to meet you because he related to you but he has nothing else to talk about. He won't let go either because you're his "friend"
i also turn off chat and vc in every game i play. frick you i have friends. im not trying to make more on a shitty video game just so i can be bothered every time i log on. i dont play games for the social element i play them to escape from society. i dont need constant engagement. noone should. its unhealthy.
>t. guy who barely even responds to his own wife on social media nontheless friends
>come home >want to wind down >online >instantly get message on either discord or steam >tell them no >"then when???" >idfk >eat, do reps etc., anything to be productive and finish my daily irl tasks >ready to game >come back to 20 messages
And from that day i always showed as invisble. Don't bother me before i'm ready.
The fact that this thread is full of people who can’t understand or respect the idea of ”do not disturb” mode is the reason why I only use Steam to play and communicate with a close circle of friends, never with any random clingy, attention-starved autists from Ganker.
doxx
I go offline altogether and pretend I was all along
I put my steam profile into invisibility mode by mistake and didn't realise for six months.

why go invisible mode? just go offline and stop being a b***h
i don't.
It wouldn't happen anyway, because I am actually offline and not just invisible. This is specifically to avoid people trying to talk to me when I'm playing games. Anyone I actually know and like has other ways of contacting me where I'll actually respond, anyway.
No
>check message
>it's dicky
tfw no friend sends you dicky
I haven't been visible almost ten years now. I hate all social interaction when usernames or any sort of irl identifiers are involved.
>some people put their literal IRL names and intagram pictures in their steam bio
And people sometimes think im weird because i dont use netflix and iphone.
I don't understand using steam and having a friend lists where you actually add people and then using the features to hide from all those said people. Never used it and never will.
>where you actually add
I don't, I have rl friends adding me
So you didn't add them, they added you (which you accepted??), and also your real life friends that you don't want to interact with found your profile how?
I don't hide online and nobody talks to me.
No
If your ass notices somebody using the “I want to talk to people so little I’m pretending I’m not even here” function and respond by trying to talk to them, you’re getting blocked. No questions asked.
>tfw 0 friends
>friend at work talks about game we both play
>friend at work asks me for my steam account
>I make a new account and buy the same game a second time instead of using my main account
fricking yikes
this is even weirder since it makes you look like a liar
Just make everything private on your profile and they'll never know.
Just make your profile private and if they ask about that say, "Huh, I didn't know it was private," and claim you don't know how to fix it.
What a shit excuse. I bet you're the kind of person who believes those "accidentally fell on a dildo without pants or underwear" stories.
>"accidentally fell on a dildo without pants or underwear" stories.
Do elaborate.
Common excuse for those that end up on a surgery table and can't deal with the shame of admitting they stuck it up there.
It's good if they don't ask the reason behind a private profile, but claiming you don't know how to fix it seems stupid. I don't see harm in just saying that you don't want people snooping.
90% of the world's population is completely moronic, especially when it comes to technology. Unless you actually work in a technical field you should be able to trick your coworker into believing it. Pressing you about why your profile is private in the first place is a b***h move in the first place.
*I reworded that last sentence and accidentally left "in the first place" in there twice.
"I dunno man, my little brother set up the account for me a while back"
>What a shit excuse.
Yeah, just say you don't like how Steam tries to force a social media on you with its shit community system.
wtf kind of advanced autism is this kek
I have my profile on invis whjen ppls as k I say I jump around games a lot and dont want to spam notify pple
the truth
like a gigchad
autism
You could just steam share from your other account instead of buying it again.
>A mother at work keeps wanting me to play with her younger sons on steam
>I say "No, I'm good" each time
I had this with a mother of a chinese kid in my class when I was 12.
Every Chinese person is cousins, that's why they all look so much alike
Would you have answered the same thing if it was her daughter?
I don't. Problem solved.
>H-huh??? but I thought I had 0 friends on steam, are you hacker??? how did you texted me
Honestly I'd be fricking happy, because I have 20 people in my friendlist, and no one ever bothered to talk to me in the past 3 years, neither did I so I wonder if they even remember me
delete all of them
delete them all, join a garry's mod server and add everyone who says the N word
you'll have good friends in no time
You don't.
I don't respond because I'm invisible
>offline
>private profile
yep, its gaming time
>How do you respond?
"No."
I don't want to have this conversation so I stay offline
say nibba
money stolen
Somethings fricked with my PC and I dont want to bother everybody when I relaunch HOI or Napoleon every 15 minutes.
>How do you respond?
I never use invisible mode.
?t=5
>oh yeah sure, I forgot to leave it after I was done writing mods
I wonder how many people have avoided talking to me while being invisible and how many friends I've not made. But then, if they wanted to be friends they'd have messaged anyway.
dude, turn your status to online. You might be surprised by what happens, or maybe not, but you certainly won't find out until you try. The worst that can happen is things staying the same as they always have been.
>being a pussy and hiding yourself.
Cmon anon no need to hide the fact you play shitty hentai games
I uninstalled the steam. I'm even pirating the games I already own. I just want to access my games. I don't want to see ads everytime I launch the steam or be a part of social media homosexualry of steam.
>How do you respond?
i don't
>switched to offline at least 7 years ago
>you could have been online on my friends list for the past 7 years and I still would have had an equal amount of interaction with you
Why do people add others when they don't plan on ever talking to them?
My friend list is only like 10 people long but it's people I talk to regularly
The only people I have added are 3 or 4 people I met 10 years ago, back when I thought Steam could replace any of the other social media platforms available at the time.
I was wrong.
Is there point of making friends on steam?
you can play games with them and talk about games with them
Every steam friend i made, (irl friends excluded) turned out to be a schizo.
No free guesses to the amount of times we have cliffed/thrown each other into the opposing team.
>have a lot of fun playing some game
>get invited to a clan because I play one their server a lot
>play with them for years
>one day clan leader suddenly dies in his sleep
>never touch that game ever again
Still miss you, old dog.
That's very nice way to go though. At least he didn't burn to death or anything.
My one friend is always invisible and I always just send him messages and he always responds. Hes not avoiding me but it can make it mildly difficult to tell when hes there and not just asleep.
I switch to Offline mode and turn on Do Not Disturb and private my profile and set all privacy settings to the strictest possible setting.
nobody would ask me this because i have no friends
>friend I haven't talked to on steam for years suddenly messages me out of the blue
frick off homosexual, if you wanted human interaction you should've been more communicative in the first place
>why
I only have my sister added, she nags me to go visit her and play with her instead of by myself
I don't keep anyone on my list if they're obnoxious
don't ask me about my sleep schedule either, just mind your own business and be pleasant it's really not that hard
>block them
>go in offline mode
we ERP until we cum :3
homosexual
Yes, and?
o-ok carry on
AMOGUS
I have 41 friends added but I actually only have like 6 friends which are irl friends
Why the frick would you even want to be friends with an obnoxious hypermautist who doesn’t respect the message of do not disturb?
Try this experiment.
1 week, go invisible status on discord/steam.
Say absolutely nothing in all of the servers you are in, don't send anyone a message, don't post any comments.
Nobody is going to mention you or message you unless they want something from you or they want you to do something for them.
You will then realize the crushing reality that none of the people you talk to are you real friends.
Accept this reality and have a nice day.
I don't need to, I know my friends well enough to not have to do a female shittest to prove their 'loyalty' or whatever
I did that due to irl issues, had 3 people send me messages asking where I am and saying they hope I'm ok
the reason this happens to you is because you are unlikeable and you seek friends in the wrong places. hint: Gankereddit isn't a good place to get friends, the people here are garbage.
>I did that due to irl issues, had 3 people send me messages asking where I am and saying they hope I'm ok
that is suicide fuel for a guy like me ngl
right back at them. frick this dusty ball of shit earth
>implying I have any steam/discord friends
lol
lmao even
I genuinely don't remember the last time I added someone on Steam and I've been using it since 2007.
I shut off social media 4 years ago and have not heard one peep from any of my "friends" on there lol
>do this
>no one really mentions it to not be a bother, but activity grinds to a halt
heh, serves them right for depending on me
No I'm playing a cooler game.
What a shitty, forced reddit meme. You seem desperate for attention so here you go.
>have over one hundre steam friends and actively play games in online mode for several hours a day
>none of them message me but they all hang out with each other
I just don't respond. You can reply to Anyone that's offline.
what do you mean, I'm always online 🙂
:~~*(
Do you want friends?
if someone is trying to find friends so hard on Ganker of all places, they likely have no friends for very good reasons
if you need proof of this, just go on /soc/, truly, naught but life unworthy of living
Not everyone on Ganker is a deranged lunatic
I've met some pretty cool people on Ganker from the old steam friend threads. But we were really bad at keeping in touch. We'd play together once or maybe twice and then we'd both go radio silent. That's pretty much been my experience with Ganker-goers outside of the annoying /misc/tards spewing frogs and wojaks all the time, but those were surprisingly rare and easy to filter from their profile pictures.
Or maybe you're just shy anon.
I find it hard to maintain more than like, 5 quality friendships at a time so it's definitely my fault in some way.

Guess I'm compatible with your filter then
good to know I'm not a homosexual, by some anon on Gankers standard at least
>or some expensive background
how is this an indicator of anything other than spending a couple hundred dollars in steam games?
>knowyourmeme filename
hypocrite
You seem sad. arbitrarily shutting out so many potential friends
What kind of filter procedure do you have for profile pictures? I've had mine since I made my account, never really bothered to change it
I unironically miss /stf/ - Steam Friend Threads. I had a few friends that lasted a good while, but I forget why things grew apart
Why would I roll my chances?
It's very easy to see who is and who isn't deranged
unless you're autistic that is
I'm not autistic but I attract autists for some fricking reason, I have not made a single normal friend in the last 20 years.
I can relate, I also seem to attract these people
feels bad man
I can't be bothered
I have no energy
I am so tired
"no"
I stay invisible because it makes me feel better about her
>frick you Black person
or something. real bros chat on invis because they're not the ones I'm trying to duck.
Friend A
>Hey bro why are you on invis all the time?
>Haha no worries, I can't be bothered to play X with B dude
>oh ok
Friend B
>Hey bro why are you on invis all the time?
>Haha no worries, I can't be bothered to play Y with A dude again
I can't be the only one who does this
>avoiding conflict like a b***h instead of telling these people you're avoiding "no"
Grow a spine, please, for your own sake
cringe
Keeping hiding behind those lies then homosexual
no. if i'm not online, i don't want to be around you. frick off.
Go offline instead
Reminder that the anti invisible mode psyop happening on Ganker lately is made by discord trannies upset that their vrchat boyfriend ghosted them by using invisible mode. Look it up.
>Look it up.
how would i even look shit like this up?
It’s still weird. If you have a reason to do it and a “friend” asks, just tell them.
Or keep making excuses why you are continuously in an offline mode to confuse the people on your “friend list” when you could just turn off. Otifications if they bother you.
do not respond
I know youre there
who's talking to me?
me
no
i have never understood why people even use that shit. if youre not in the mood to socialize then just dont. you dont have respond to messages if you dont feel like it. people that use invisibility on discord that i know are always using it for the b***hiest of reasons like not wanting to say no to some guy asking to come play games. instead they go invisible altogether to avoid saying no like a normal functioning human that can communicate their feelings honestly. how much of a beta b***h do you have to be to hide like this
cope
i just don't want people seeing me play my anime porn games
beta behavior
I come out of invisibility mode and wonder why it was on to begin with.
not until you learn to take no for an answer
>turn on visibility after 4 months
>steam friend group asks me whats up
>tell them i don't have the energy to talk to anyone, have been antisocial for the past 4 months and that I will turn it off again later, nothing personnel
>ok anon take care
>Never invisible
>"hey bro up for some "game name"?
>nope
>launch the game mentioned just so they see it.
What is wrong with you
I only stay like that because notifications are annoying as frick
>playing mp game on solo queue
>irl friend connects
>bro I sent you like 5 invites and 2 messages to play X game
>yeah I saw them, I just don’t like talking while playing maybe next time
>next time
>ignore them again
I can vouch from having used offline mode to avoid pestering someone with my constant disconnections in games popping the notification that I was playing game over and over that offline mode actually isolates a fella and would not recommend that life
Nah, it's comfy in here.
I don't know what's going on anymore
>be visible
>start hentai game(kamidori)
>friends see it
>they google it
>have a good laught at the censored CGi
>laugh with them
>....
>go private/invisible and never put it off
I AM THE NIGHT
I report everybody on my friends list who does invisible mode for everything I can.
I don't have friends
Fr who tf still talks to their friends on steam
>so you can bother me more?
frick off im offline.
But why you’re offline? Explain yourself.
unless you actually have friends that constantly want to play with you everytime your name pops up it's completely pointless.
>friend asks me to play a video game
>either agree to play or tell him nah I'm busy/not in the mood right now
Why is this so hard for some people?
I wouldn't be in this scenario because >having steam friends in 2022
Sneed
Stop trying to stalk me online and just ask questions like a normal person. I don't want to broadcast what I'm doing all the time you codependent frick.
>He didn't disable the friends aspect of steam entirely
kek i bet you still use the overlay too
>be me
>fixing my VR setup
>restarting VR every couple minutes
>5 apps that start every time I restart
>anon has started playing steamVR
>anon started playing OVR advanced settings
>anon started playing XSoverlay
>anon started playing fpsVR
>anon started playing LIV
Yeah I go on invisible mode when I'm using VR
>no thanks
Anybody else here that was relatively normal until puberty? I had a lot of friends up until that point, but around puberty (and I had a very late puberty) I became paranoid, started shutting myself in, stopped talking to people, started ignoring my friends.
It just never got better, I never faced my demons or fears or whatever, I never did anything about it. It's been over 10 years since I heard from any of my old friends now, 2009 was the last time I hung out with somebody.
Go to a therapist you fricking idiot. I got diagnosed and put on disability for having a mental disorder
It's not going to get better if you dont
The same goes for any platform as I refuse to use a mobile phone.
>no friends on steam
>only play single player games
don't have to
>nobody to chat with
>nobody to share achievements with
>nobody to discuss vidya with
Idk seems kind of lonely
but if that isn't a problem with you all the more power to you
to chat with
to share achievements with
to discuss vidya with
why do you think we're on an imageboard right now?
>play with friends
>they fire up the game while invisible
>cannot invite offline players into a lobby
>have to point it out to them every single time
Holy frick if you're going to be autistic either join on my lobby yourself or come online when you boot up a game to play with others. FRICK.
slide thread
The people who pay attention to others being online/offline are never doing it with good intentions, prove me wrong.
correct
you only say this because you're autistic and can't imagine caring about another person
I murder them, paint the walls with their blood and burn the body parts
>add someone
>they start falling for me and become clingy
>forced to go invisible and pretend I'm busy
This is why invisible mode exists
>not just telling them to stop being clingy
I only use invisibility mode when i want to procastinate doing something impprtant instead of playing games. You guys REALLY dont use it to avoid your friends do you?
>profile is visible
>no friends to text me anyway
By jumping through their fricking window head first while screaming like a maniac at them.
i will remain inviso-bill as long as i want and there's nothing you fricks can do about it, maybe you should reflect on why the frick you're always online
I've been in invisibility for over a year. I'm pretending to be dead.
Honestly I had no plan for what's next. It'd be so awkward to just reappear suddenly.
Just say you were slayin puss all the time
Tell people you were in the hospital to imply you were institutionalized just to see how people react
Why not just say you were set to invisible? At worst, they'll be offended and won't talk to you again. Which is highly unlikely, but also means that nothing has changed in either of your daily lives.
Just say you were dealing with shit and needed some time alone
I have some friend groups that I dip outnof for 6 months at a time. When i come back I' m just really happy to talk to them qgain and its vice versa. If they ask just say you were busy or occupied.
i either am
>online
or
>offline
why would i bother checking out what friends are doing if i dont plan on engaging with them?
You sound like a massive homosexual and should stay invisible if you can't even handle people greeting you
Go ahead, stay offline. It was made for you.
Either turn off the beeps and notifications if they’re spamming you, ask them politely to stop with the spam, or remove them.
what am i, a feature of your online experience? FRICK YOU.
Oh hey I'm just downloading a couple updates in the background ha ha sorry anyway let's play something soon ha ha
>guy adds me over a forum post i made criticizing devs
>greets me next day, have a nice talk with him for hours, we share common interests.
>Over 6 months since then, never talked to me again.
>Always invisible
Meh.
Most people are boring buttholes. He was excited to meet you because he related to you but he has nothing else to talk about. He won't let go either because you're his "friend"
"no"
i also turn off chat and vc in every game i play. frick you i have friends. im not trying to make more on a shitty video game just so i can be bothered every time i log on. i dont play games for the social element i play them to escape from society. i dont need constant engagement. noone should. its unhealthy.
>t. guy who barely even responds to his own wife on social media nontheless friends
I had sex with your mother.
No
Invis is just dnd mode. If you don't understand this, you are a loser with no friends.
But why would you use it? Explain.
using do not disturb is loser behavior
Looking for some new friends, add me.

Frick off, just because we're friends doesn't mean I have to spend every minute of my free time with you every day.

Do not insinuate that you would have the nerve to demand my visibility.
Just don't response.
"Cmon I see your game time hours going up uwu"

Any fellow fat hairy racists ITT?
I'll buy you a steam game.
The fact that this thread is full of people who can’t understand or respect the idea of ”do not disturb” mode is the reason why I only use Steam to play and communicate with a close circle of friends, never with any random clingy, attention-starved autists from Ganker.
Simple, I don't.
i'm in invisibility mode because i obviously don't want to be disturbed you fricking homosexual
>He thinks I'm using invisibility mode
>Came back and see old friends thinking i'm just hiding.
many such cases
