No, they have that big of a cult. As someone raised on the NES I don’t know how I escaped mostly unscathed. I think skipping the SNES for a Gensis may have been the saving grace.
They're good but not 96-97 score kind of good. It's because most of their fans are hyper casuals that only know/play Nintendo games so everything they release is insanely good for them.
With the understanding that they're a family friendly company so they're never going to do anything that's too challenging or dark, yes. They're basically like a Pixar that never declined.
They're functional products with good moments here and there, but you can tell they're not great because the fandom are full of retards who unironically listen to game journalists. You know, the same group of people that include Jimantha Sterling and David Gaffe. Infact, whenever they give praise to a Nintendo game, these two will be hailed as geniuses. Thankfully they've been critical of Nintendo, so Nintendo fans aren't gonna step up to bat to defend them.
I've never used game journo sites so I will never check to make sure this is correct, but iirc open critic only reviews newer games that released after it was created, so galaxy might just not be on that site
Odyssey was a turning point for me. It was the first time I felt like a baby playing with colourful blocks while playing a game. I shut it off in disgust, it's not fun or satisfying, just repetitive tasks.
love the game, but i seriously cannot understand why they didn't make the sages a button hold and then another button to activate their abilities. that deserves as much shit talking as possible. little timmy could figure that out too, so it's not a fucking reason to make it so stupid for le kids
I’m watching my roommate play this game and it actually looks like buns at certain parts. Large swaths of terrain with almost no detail added to them, maybe I’m deluded but I swear TP on Wii had more visual appeal than this game.
I don’t have problems with big open nothing, been playing shadow of the colossus and that game is 90% vacant space, but totk just is really hard on the eyes imo, just seems really lifeless
STOP IT STOP IT
Fools for thinking you could ever dethrone Mario Odyssey.
TOTK would be at the top if not for mario bonus.
Jesus christ, are nintendo games really that good?
minus 10 for the tendie bonus
So how do they score a 100? They need the reviewers to rate it 11/10?

SNES games > Genesis games you dumb fatty
yes they have more soul than anything the west can dream of
>Odyssey
>Soul
I can think of 5 western made games with more soul than that milked toast experience. A Hat in Time comes to mind.
Unironically yes, which is why they make so many dipshits here seethe.

Nintendo is good at paying reviews
unironically yes

they really aren't, the nintendo bonus is a real thing

This. Look at how Nintendo fans praised Pokemon for being innovative and a masterpiece, despite it being a broken mess.
Varies from game to game, sometimes they're that good, other times they're overrated, more-so than not they're forgotten.
>ONLY THE SECOND HIGHEST RATED GAME OF ALL TIME
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Odyssey isn't even as good as Galaxy. The fuck is this garbage?

Guess I'm boycotting Eurogamer. Thanks for letting me know.

They copy-pasted the BoTW map.
It's the same "large swaths of terrain" with nothing.
The funny thing is those same people complain about Elden Ring.

>Date launched: September 30, 2015
?????
I don't see the problem, OP. Can you explain it?
>not using an ad blocker
>unironically giving attention to games journalists and their metrics
cancer killing videogames
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
STOP THE COUNT!!!!
