Bug types be like
>yeah I'm weak early game and will die in the first gym even if you level me up to get the final evolution, but HEY WASN'T THAT FUN?!

Vivillion was pretty rewarding for an early route bugmon
>compound eyes
>sleep powder
>hurricane later on
What more could you ask for? The best thing SwSh did was give that combo to Butterfree as well
I was a bit hesitant to stop using it when I played X
I stomped so many noobs online with sleep powder quiver dance Vivillion, absolute bro. god I miss the XY/ORAS era of online battles
>noobs
Who even says that at all anymore? Like, even ironically?
me cause i say whatever the frick i want you dumb c**t
> Vivillon user
> name calling
based, I kneel to you king
you are so out of touch it's painful... noobs? yikes...
admit it, you got btfo
Same experience here, Vivillon is still one of my favorites to this day
Oh yes. Even before you get Compound Eyes Sleep Powder and Hurricane plus Quiver Dance. You've got Struggle Bug straight away which is legit at that early stage, and I really liked Draining Kiss as well because Fairy is a good type offensively and heals 3/4 of your damage. And it still gets Psybeam like Butterfree.
Oh and it gets Bug Buzz at level 35 which is way earlier than basically everything else that learns it, even Butterfree.
>bugg is immune to confusion
>buggg resists fairy
there fixed bugbro btw
I always thought they should make Bugs immune to powder moves like Grass.
Zoomer thread
Nah man I played with butterfree confusion and he barely beat onix
So, you beat onix. So he's not wrong.
Onix has shit special and only has one real move in Rock Throw which has balls for accuracy in Gen 1... Or are you moronic enough that you attacked through Bide and didn't just status him?
and they're right. it was fun.
>beedrill in gen 1 is fun
>anus-type takes 2x damage from bugs
Nah, the Butterfrees and Beedrills sweeps the game until around level 30.
They are the easy mode for early-mid game and hard mode for mid-late
I think it is funny as shit when /vp/ will be like
>I have to keep all my Pokemon the same level!
>Why are my Pokemon that level up fast not as useful at the same level as the ones that level up slow!?
Getting a psychic move is pretty damn good in Kanto where fricking everything is poison type. Also no, Brock doesn't use rock moves so it won't job to the first gym.
>b-bugs are shit, CHUD!!!!!!!1!111!
Explain Stingulor, then, /misc/cel.
to this day i still level up a butterfree to beat brock when i play yellow
>Learned confusion
>Learned all the powder moves at low level
If you lost to fricking Brock with Butterfree, you were an extremely moronic kid that deserved bad things
Pinsir with swords dance hyper beam bind and slash
Butterfree is very useful in the early game for gens 1 and 2. I know because I did a bug only run and a run based off of Ritchie's team
