>got KingKong pro 2 just to avoid stick problems >zero problems with what they advertise like sticks and triggers >less than 100 hours in A button started squeaking
Easy to fix, unpleasant but whatever >now the D-pad is having a seizure and every time I press either left or down it always registers it as a diagonal press
Is that a problem with the rubber shit or is the board fricked? Can this be fixed?
People say this about the 8bitdo Ultimate Controller specifically because that one has hall-effect sticks. All the other controllers (like the one pictured) have faulty sticks just like the official controllers.
While hall-effects can last longer than analogs, any derivation from a "normal" temperature can de-magnetize them. The problem with analogs is that companies are using cheap potentiometers, you never heard people having these problems with PS2, GC or original Xbox controllers. This shit started to be a problem with the 360 and then massively went into overdrive with the Switch and now modern controllers.
if i remember PS2 had some sort of auto dead zone that compensated wear, they didn't drift but i've seen a lot of floppy analog sticks that didn't physically return to neutral position
>While hall-effects can last longer than analogs, any derivation from a "normal" temperature can de-magnetize them.
Unless you're busting out your controller to play with it in a commercial walk in freezer, you'll probably be fine.

I kitted out my DS4 controller with a pair of these bad boys. You need to know how to calibrate, but other than that, it's smooth sailing. I'm about to make a set for a Wired 360. That's my endgame.
Depended on the company, ASCII's SNES controllers were better than the real thing.
Even the weird as frick fight pad that I can't find any pictures of at the moment.
I bought one of these to replace my PS5 controller at anons recommendation. Only used it on Remnant 2 and Diablo 4 so far and haven't had issues while wired in the past 2 months. Bluetooth is pretty shit on it though, definitely needs to be wired, Diablo was unplayable.
If it does break within the year I'll definitely buy a PS5 controller again but honestly, at the price it is it performs well enough.
Oh, I have had an issue where if I change my mouse from wired to wireless modes while the controller is connected, my PC detects the controller as a mouse instead and I have to disconnect it.
i never can stand playing most third party controllers for exactly this reason.
There is also so many we're going to try and fix the N64 controller stick issue and yet everytime they don't calibrate the sticks properly for the N64 that the game's controls are super sensitive making the games near unplayable for games that require good half way inputs.
F-Zero X is a mess with these and Zelda OOT/Majora Mask aiming full on too sensitive with a bow.
i got an sn30 pro and I like it but the buttons are a bit stiffer than I'd like.
Is there any way to quickly break in the membranes or do i just have to press them a lot?
literally what happened to me with the Pro2, I like the controller but this shit is sad
let me guess, you need more?
I need a D-pad that isn't shit, for a start
I had one of these for a few years. The left stick got stuck and it stopped working completely not long after.
What am I even looking at
the stick doesn't send the correct inputs when fully moved in a direction. see the percentage changing.
good morning gamesir
What you need.
lol, what a fricking elitist loser. That controler is totally fine and perfectly playable... morons sometimes...
This, drifting and incorrect movement just makes it more challenging. I thought people wanted hard games again?
if I wanted games to be hard I would play on a tv without game mode

no playing video games next to a volcano
damn I'll never be able to play videogames in hell

>The sticks that are worth a damn are tied to the godawful Xbox form factor
>snoy once again thinks his moronic controller is better
I don't think there's any third party controllers out right now with hall effect sticks using the PS layout so you're SOL for the forseeable future.
That's... not entirely true.

It uses xbone sticks iirc
Buy a replacement and solder it in
I like their Genesys controller
their SNES models are shit (just like the actual SNES controller), and this shitty analog sensitivity is the same shit behavior as xbox analogs.
The only people who buy third-party controllers are people who never experienced the pain of having one as a kid
Depended on the company, ASCII's SNES controllers were better than the real thing.

Ganker has shit on 8bitdo consistently, your fault for not listening.
I just want a third party dualsense controller with the same features
just buy a DualShock 4 or a Xbone controller for fricks sake stop being a b***h
>just buy a controller that they don't make anymore
Told you Black folk to buy a Dualsense.
I open up my Switch joy-cons and placed a piece of sticky tape on the other side of the metal plate.
I dont get drift no more.
