My guy, that's from 7 minutes ago when I downloaded Emusak straight from its github repo and saw the warning myself.
The fix is simple. Don't use that paypig hacky patchwork mess of a for-profit emulator, and use Ryujinx and Emusak (for shader cache) instead. Enjoy coop hunts in MH Rise, trades in PKMN games, and other multiplayer stuff with its LDN variant. Accuracy and stability is better, too, at the expense of 1 or 2 frames tbh.

AFAIK they're being extra careful about the software licences, because steam is proprietary whereas some of the emulator cores are GPLv3, which makes any code included with them ALSO converted to GPLv3 and open-source, so they have to check legal shit to not get in trouble

Valve isn't going to support VR for it officially because they're working on a stand alone VR headset based on slighlty more powerful hardware that is going to launch in another year or two.

What is a good way to share large files between windows and linux?
I've run into the issue of wanting to transfer some games I have on pc over and am not really sure how to go about it.
How large are we talking? I used warpinator to transfer files up to 8GB and it worked very well
install cygwin on windows
add python3 as a package in the installer
lauch it and run:
mkdir www
cd www
ipconfig (and then make note of whatever your ipv4 address is)
python3 -m http.server
make a zip broken up into 4gb parts using 7z and move them to C:cygwin64homehomosexualwww
go into desktop mode on your deck
launch firefox and type into the URL bar:
192.168.1.xxx:8000/filename (where xxx is whatever ipconfig listed, repeat as needed for every file)
close cygwin, unpack the zips and you're done
use a ethernet cord if possible, if its same machine there shouldn't be an issue just mount the damn disk.
setup samba, it's the windows network file sharing (smb) for linux

As long as you place the repos into /usr/ and symlink them properly they won't get wiped. There are already AUR helpers and package managers capable of this. Also, updates are opt-in, not opt-out; you have to manually check for updates of your own accord before you install them. SteamOS isn't Shitdows 10 or 11.
