leech seed + toxic is a meme, switching out even makes turn toxic into normal poison
Persian is the best slasher in the game but lacks the atk required to actually be effective, plus since slash is already a crit, you can rely on a lucky crit to get extra damage like Tauros can with Body Slam/Hyper Beam
Not at all, Tauros is easily the best late game sweeper, his speed is key in securing a crazy crit rate plus makes his combo of Body Slam + Hyper Beam stupidly good considering he can 2HKO most of the tier, he is insanely hard to revenge kill. Snorlax is always guaranteed to go last, and that's a big liability, still Snorlax has a strong argument for 2nd best mon.
This is by far the hardest gym in the series for everyone who picked Charmander as the only four water resists in the game up to that point are Magikarp, Paras, Bellsprout, and Oddish. Don't feel bad.
Yellow has Mankey prior to Viridian Forest. Butterfree also creams Brock as neither of his pokemon have any rock moves. So that's four pokemon that easily beat Brock counting the Nidos. Yellow also makes it easier to beat Misty because the game gives you a free Bulbasaur.
Use your fluffeon or whatever it’s called. The plant pokemon you catch. He looks like a grape with a palm tree on top
oddish or bellsprout depending on his version
>>/vp/ must stay in /vp/
>He's not playing Yellow
Acquire proficiency.
Restart and choose Bulbasaur
Grind.
Go get a Bellsprout past Black person Bridge
>doesn't understand rock paper scissors
It's a lot to remember,.
Why the frick is Charmeleon's crest a different shade?
because early gens had fricky sprites
>funky
fixed
no no, you had it right
>*rules your metagame*
>not abusing leech seed/toxic
>not using a guaranteed crit slash setup
>not freezing all the other pokemon and laughing as they never thaw out

>leech seed + toxic is a meme
I distinctly remember sweeping the entire Elite Four with my Venusaur alone
>team btfo
>win with a Forretress using toxic
oh, yeah, in-game is good ofc, just not against real people
bro you could have swept the E4 with venusaur by just clicking razor leaf and body slam
Isn't tauros ultimately a worse snorlax against literally everything except for executor?
No. In competitive speed is crucial.
Tauros hyper beams first and has no recharge. Snorlax became king in Gen. 2

Just go catch a bellsprout/oddish bro

Brock for Yellow is also terrible. You have to go catch a nidoran and teach it kick which means grinding it to like level 12 or whatever

>Mankey
that's even more grinding because you need to be level 15 unless you want to scratch the onyx to death
Butterfree would work though
oh nvm, he gets fighting shit earlier in yellow
Shoulda got a Pikachu
Pikachu gets raped by Starmie unless it's overleveled.
In gen 1 everything gets raped by Starmie, as long as it's not an ai using it.
>special attacker
nahchansey
Give up, it's literally impossible
Aww sweet, a fricking schizo!
>draw a dog
>call it a charmeleon
>people suggesting Bellsprout and Oddish
>When starmies special stat is through the roof and tanks the grass hits anyways
Huh?
Best option is Paras for spores moves then Spearow or some shit.
Best option is to have a Pidgeot or literally any physical attacker.
Unless you grind insane you won't have Pidgeot. Spearow moveset is better than Pidgeotto, and I think Fearow is Lv. 22 or 25
Oddish and Bellsprout win from Starmie unless it gets extremely lucky with the crits
Bellsprout more damage than Starmie and Oddish has absorb recovery
also both of them learn sleep powder
unless you're an idiot of course and go in with a lv 14 oddish
that Starmie should have had
Surf / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
Put the player up against something that his ALL starters super effective
Boy I really love it in romhacks when gyms have smogon movesets at the part of the game where I'm fricking around with wurmples
a single pokemon vs your 6
>charmeleon
wartortle...
Mewtwo
>Parasect-chads laughing in the background
>has the most broken sleep move in the gen where sleep is most broken
>still bottom tier
how do you frick up that badly?
>3 4x weaknesses
if you caught a clefairy, train it and teach it mega punch and it will annihilate her
Clefairy is gay tho
so are you
2 negatives cancel each other out
Unironically buy Magikarp and grind it 15 levels in Mt. Moon.
how is your charmeleon only lv21? by that point in the game mine was like lv27.
Daily reminder Magikarp was meant to be Dragonite and it was Dratini Dragonair Gyarados.
fake news
next you're going to tell us that Venonat was supposed to evolve into Butterfree
>Daily reminder [HEADCANON]
>psychic
>only weakness bugged
>no damage moves from other weakness
>counter is dual-type with a weakness to you
What the frick were they thinking?
How the frick do the legendary birds get in caves and buildings?
Don't face it with a Fire Type, train up a Grass Type from the routes West and North of Cerulean City.
