Not renewing again until I know the game is actually active online. I lost my almost 100 percent complete save years ago but don't want to do all the stages solo (especially chapter 7 and 8).
Definitely will have people playing at least for a couple weeks since it's on gwg.
i think game devs are probably apprehensive when it comes to handling castlevania these days

They already have been. The only one I never see brought up as a "masterpiece that's better than the DS games" was Mirror of Fate probably because most forgot it was a thing.
Most people think it's fine if you ignore the stealth sections. I've never heard anyone insinuate it's a masterpiece though. People do like the Alucard DLC.
